Abstract

This study discusses the use of learning resources by geography teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Baso Kabupaten Agam. The purpose of the study was to analyze the availability of learning resources, learning resources used by geography teachers in the learning process, and the creativity of geography teachers in utilizing learning resources at SMA Negeri 1 Baso Kabupaten Agam. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The informants in the study were three geography teachers, the principal, and representatives of infrastructure as providers of learning resources at SMA Negeri 1 Baso, Agam Regency, as well as three students, namely representatives from class X, XI, and XII. Data collection techniques used are through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation/, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study found that; 1) The availability of learning resources used by geography teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Baso Kabupaten Agam is generally quite available 2) Learning resources used by teachers in learning are learning resources that are already available in schools. Teachers often use learning resources such as teachers as the main learning resource, library books and some teaching materials from the internet. 3) The creativity of geography teachers in utilizing learning resources is still lacking, teachers rarely process and use varied types of learning resources in the learning process. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the knowledge of TK (technological knowledge) of geography teachers at SMA Padang city. Using this type of descriptive quantitative research. The research sample used by the geography teacher of Padang City Senior High School amounted to 30 respondents. Using the data obtained from the results of the geography teacher's questionnaire related to the technological knowledge of the geography teacher. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. As for data processing using the percentage test. Based on the research that has been done, the results show that the technological knowledge of the geography teachers of Padang City High School is very good with an average percentage of 86% which consists of the knowledge of geography teachers related to digital technology in the form of software and hardware, a percentage of 100%, the knowledge of geography teachers in applying the platform. google classroom with a percentage of 84%, knowledge of geography teachers in implementing the use of learning videos with a percentage of 84% and knowledge of geography teachers regarding the use of power point as a supportive learning medium with a percentage of 86%. Abstract

Abstract The study discusses student attitudes toward school climate ate SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang. The purpose of this study is to describe and communicate with peers and theachers as well as the environment at with a quantitative. Data collection techniques in this study were using questionnaires, obsevations, and interviews. Informants involved in this study were student of class X and XI social studies who studied geography. The data analysis technique used was in accordance with the type of data collected in descriptive research. For analysis, the formula in the form of a percentage was used by Yusuf A Muri. The results of this study can be seen that there is now correlation between students attitude toward climate in learning geography at SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang in social studies class in the academic years 2021/2022.

Abstract

This research was conducted aiming to 1)knowing how the level of teacher readiness in implementing the Program Guru Penggerak at SMAN 1 Kec. Suliki Kab. Lima Puluh Kota, and 2)knowing how the school is prepared in implementing the Program Guru Penggerak at SMAN 1 Kec. Suliki. This research is a type of combination research (mix method) that uses quantitative research and qualitative research. The research method used is exploratory sequential, where the researcher conducts qualitative research at first to get an overview and explore the views of the research sample so that the right instrument can be identified to be used in quantitative research. With a sample of 30 respondets, the researcher will distribute questionnaires to then be processed using the percentage data test. The results of this study found that the level of school readiness in implementing the Progam Guru Penggerak was in the very ready category with an average percentage value of 90% which consisted of the readiness of teachers in implementing the Program Guru Penggerak in the very ready category with an average percentage value of 93,68%, and the readiness of school in implementing the Program Guru Penggerak is categorized as very ready with an average percentage value of 85,66%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze (1) the effect of social relations between students and students in the school environment on geography learning outcomes (2) the effect of social relations between students and teachers in the school environment on geography learning outcomes (3) the influence of social relations between students and students and students and teachers in the school environment with the results of studying geography in class XI IPS students at SMA N 1 Ampek Angkek, Agam Regency. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a correlational type of research. The population of this study were all students of class XI Social Sciences at SMAN 1 Ampek Angkek, Agam Regency. The sample was drawn using a random sampling technique with a total sample of 64 students. The data collection method was obtained from data collected from questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique is in the form of multiple correlation analysis techniques. The results showed that (1) the social relationship between students and students towards geography learning outcomes at school had a positive relationship which was included in the very weak category with a correlation result of 0.044369469 (2) social relations between students and teachers at school in geography subjects there is a positive relationship which is included in the very weak category with a correlation result of 0.022289085 (3) Social relations of students towards geography learning outcomes at SMAN 1 Ampek Angkek, Agam Regency, there is a positive relationship which is included in the very weak category with a correlation result of 0.02978263. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the social relations that occur in the school environment are not the main factor influencing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe things as follows. (1) the use of smartphones as a medium for learning geography. (2) constraints in the use of smartphones as geography learning media. (3) efforts to overcome obstacles in using smartphones as a medium for learning geography for class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 13 Padang. The method used in this research is interview method with qualitative research. The subject of this study was class XI IPS 5. The data source for this research was the results of interviews with teachers and students. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that (1) smartphones make it easier for students to understand geography learning because they get new information, learning videos, and learning materials. (2) the obstacles faced by teachers and students in using smartphones are that the signal is lost, the wifi network is slow, the quota for accessing the internet runs out, the smartphone's memory becomes full because of the large amount of material downloaded, and students misuse smartphones. (3) efforts to overcome obstacles to the use of smartphones as learning media are schools providing computers for students, students restarting smartphones if network disturbances occur or they ask for help who is more knowledgeable. If this is also not resolved, they take turns using smartphones with other friends.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using smartphones in increasing the learning motivation of FIS UNP geography students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is classified as a quasy eksperimen research type. The population of all Geography students at Padang State University was 119 students, while the sample used the Probability Sampling technique with the type of random sampling. The data collection technique used a Google Form questionnaire which was distributed online to geography students via the WhatsApp and Gmail applications. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics using the N-Gain formula. The results of the data recap were processed using an experimental class system and a control class with pretest and posttest. The results of the study were that geography students' smartphone use to increase learning motivation at FIS UNP in online learning posttest scores in the experimental class had an average of 62.4681 and were in the medium category. Based on hypothesis testing through an independent sample t-test that the effectiveness of smartphone use to increase student learning motivation is 21.7296in the ineffective category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the synergy of the Canva application through the development of powtoon learning video media for natural disaster mitigation material in class XI IPS SMAN 8 Padang. This research method is Research and Development R&D with a 4-D development model consisting of define, design, development, and disseminate. The population of class XI IPS SMAN 8 Padang amounted to 119 students, the sample of class XI IPS 1 amounted to 31 students. Sample consideration techniques using purposive sampling, data collection through observation, test interviews for Likert scale questionnaire data analysis. The results of this study obtained scores and percentages: 1) decent material experts (2.91 77%), 2) very decent media experts (4.0 100%), 3) very decent linguists (3.91 98%), 4) assessment by teachers (3.28 82%), class XI social studies assessment 1 obtained very decent (3.53 84%). The acquisition of the decent category in this case can be proven through the results of UH class XI IPS 1 increased by 60%, previously the average value was 49.90 to 82.80 a difference of 30.9. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the self-concept of school dropouts in a lifestyle review based on aspects of self-concept consisting of two types, namely positive self-concept and negative self-concept, and aspects of the lifestyle of school dropouts. This research is a mixed method research and was conducted in Koto Tangah District with 12 informants consisting of 4 dropouts, 4 guardians of dropouts, 2 peers, 1 neighbor, and 1 RT head. Technical data analysis in this study used observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Quantitative research results show that 75% of dropouts have a positive self-concept and 25% have a negative self-concept. And for lifestyle 50% very positive, 25% positive, and 25% negative. Meanwhile, the results of qualitative research show that dropouts on average have a negative self-concept where many of them spend more time playing games, and waking up at noon. In addition, they prefer to drop out of school because they are lazy to come to school, lazy to do assignments, and do not like the school rules. So from the results of the study, it was found that the average dropout in Perumahan Cinta Kasih has a positive self-concept and a negative self-concept. Keywords: Self-concept, dropout, lifestyle

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model to the learning outcomes of Atmospheric Geography material for class X IPS SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. This type of research is a quantitative based on quasi-experimental design pretest-posttest. The population in the study was class X IPS SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. Sampling was taken using purposive sampling technique, namely class X IPS 1 with a total of 35 people as the experimental class and class X IPS 2 with a total of 30 people as the control class. The research instrument was in the form of multiple choice test questions (pretest-posttest). Data collection techniques used tests, observations and documentation which were analyzed using the Normality test, Homogeneity test, Z test and Normalized Gain test. The average pretest for the experimental class was 44.57 while the control class was 45.07 with a difference of 0.50. The average posttest for the experimental class was 81.89 while for the control class it was 72.53 with a difference of 9.36 meaning that the learning outcomes of the experimental class were higher than the control class. The Z test shows Zcount≥Ztable=3.34≥1.96 then H0 is rejected, meaning that there is an influence of the application of the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model on learning outcomes. The normalized gain test for the experimental class is 0.71 with the criteria for a high increase, while the control class is 0.52 with the criteria for a moderate increase. Thus the learning outcomes using the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model are more effective than using the direct learning model.
