Abstract

This study analyzes the supporting factors and obstacles in developing a creative economy based tourist area in the Gulf of Segara district and can then formulate a strategy for developing creative economy-based tourist areas in Bengkulu City Gulf district. The aim of this study is to be able to identify the supportive factors and barriers in the development of a tourism area based on creative economy as well as to formulate a new strategy in development of tourism areas based on the creative economy. The research method used in this research is the Qualitative Method. In this study, it can be stated that there are some supportive factors and obstacles in the development of creative economy-based tourist areas in the Gulf of Segara district of Bengkulu City, then through SWOT analysis on internal and external factors, it is possible to produce a good strategy against the development strategy of tourism district based on creative economy in Segara Gulf district, namely 4 strategy ; Strategy SO, ST, WO Strategy, and WT Strategy. Abstract

The presence of eyeglasses in facial images poses challenges for image processing, particularly in facial recognition. This paper introduces the remove glasses diffusion model (RGDM), a conditioned denoising diffusion probabilistic model (DDPM) designed for precise glasses removal. RGDM employs conditional modeling to focus on the glasses region while seamlessly restoring facial features. An eyes position accuracy mechanism, leveraging facial landmarks, ensures accurate eye restoration post-removal. Comprehensive evaluations on the CelebA dataset demonstrate RGDM’s superior performance, achieving the lowest Fréchet inception distance (FID) of 27.09 and learned perceptual image patch similarity (LPIPS) of 0.299, outperforming state-of-the-art methods such as 3D synthetic, cycleconsistent generative adversarial network (CycleGAN), and eyeglasses removal generative adversarial network (ERGAN). These results highlight the model’s effectiveness in producing natural and high-fidelity facial reconstructions. This work advances glasses removal technology and underscores the significance of conditional models in image processing. The proposed approach has practical implications for facial recognition and image enhancement, paving the way for more accurate and robust real-world applications.

Abstract

Sanad and matn criticism are two fundamental pillars in the science of hadith, playing a crucial role in determining the validity and authenticity of a narration. Sanad criticism focuses on evaluating the integrity and reliability of the chain of narrators, including their moral uprightness (‘adalah), precision (ḍabt), and the continuity of the chain. On the other hand, matn criticism examines the content of the hadith, assessing its consistency with the Qur’an, rationality, historical facts, and the absence of linguistic irregularities or contradictions. This study aims to analyze the methodologies and principles applied in sanad and matn criticism, as well as their implications for the classification of hadith into sahih, hasan, and da‘if. Through a literature review of classical scholars such as al-Bukhari, Muslim, and Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, as well as contemporary scholars, it is concluded that a strict and systematic approach to hadith criticism serves as a cornerstone for preserving the authenticity of Islamic teachings derived from the Prophet’s traditions. This paper emphasizes the necessity of integrating both sanad and matn criticism to prevent deviations in religious understanding and practice.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the condition of household waste management, the influencing factors, and the roles of relevant stakeholders. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with 25 key informants consisting of residents, neighborhood heads, sanitation workers, and environmental organizations, and supported by field documentation. The results show that waste management in the study area is still conventional and unstructured. Most residents do not separate organic and inorganic waste, supporting facilities such as waste sorting bins and official temporary disposal sites (TPS) are not available, and education or outreach programs from local authorities are still minimal. Public awareness remains low, and the responsibility for waste management largely rests with sanitation workers. This study recommends strengthening outreach programs, providing adequate waste sorting facilities, and establishing waste banks to encourage active community participation. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for stakeholders in formulating effective and sustainable community-based waste management policies.

Abstract

Technology development is very rapid, so all fields are required to develop technology to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of work. One of the focuses is related to image processing technology. We can get many benefits by implementing this system, so various fields have implemented image processing systems, such as security, health, and education. One of the current obstacles is in the area of safety, namely in the field of searching for people, which is still done manually. Often search teams find it challenging to find people because of the significant search area, low light conditions, and complex search fields. Therefore, we need a tool capable of detecting humans to assist in finding people. Therefore, to detect human objects, the authors try to research human object detection using a simple device for the human object detection system. The authors use the You only look once (YOLO) method with the YoloV4-Tiny type, where this algorithm has high detection speed and accuracy. Using the YOLOV4-Tiny simulation method for human object recognition, a detection rate of 100% is obtained with an FPS value of 5.

Abstract

Currently, many object detection systems still use devices with large sizes, such as using PCs, as supporting devices, for object detection. This makes these devices challenging to use as a security system in public facilities based on human object detection. In contrast, many Mini PCs currently use ARM processors with high specifications. In this research, to detect human objects will use the Mini PC Nanopi M4V2 device that has a speed in processing with the support of CPU Dual-Core Cortex-A72 (up to 2.0 GHz) + Cortex A53 (Up to 2.0 GHz) and 4 Gb DDR4 Ram. In addition, for the human object detection system, the author uses the You Only Look Once (YOLO) method with the YoloV4-Tiny type, With these specifications and methods, the detection rate and FPS score are seen which are the feasibility values for use in detecting human objects. The simulation for human object recognition was carried out using recorded video, simulation obtained a detection rate of 0,9845 or 98% with FPS score of 3.81-5.55.  These results are the best when compared with the YOLOV4 and YOLOV5 models. With these results, it can be applied in various human detection applications and of course robustness testing is needed.

Abstract

Currently, the implementation of object detection systems in the traffic sector is minimal. CCTV cameras on highways and toll roads are primarily used to monitor traffic conditions and document violations. However, the data recorded by these cameras can be further utilized to enhance traffic management systems. The author proposes a vehicle detection and counting system using YOLOv4-Tiny. The research aims to improve vehicle detection and counting accuracy by employing a median filter and grayscale processing, which simplify object detection. The proposed YOLOv4-Tiny algorithm has shown impressive results on various datasets, including MAVD, GRAM-RTM, and author dataset. The system achieved a detection accuracy of 98.95% on the MAVD dataset, 99.5% on the GRAM-RTM dataset (comparable to YOLOv4), and 99.1% on the author dataset. Furthermore, the system operates at 25 frames per second (FPS), a notably high rate compared to other methods. While the system demonstrates excellent accuracy in counting cars, it encounters some accuracy loss with other vehicle classifications. The author concludes that the system is highly suitable for real-world applications but notes that inaccurate labeling can lead to vehicle counting errors.

Abstract

The problem of waste management creates daily rubbish buildup due to thorough sorting. garbage sometimes accumulates in public garbage receptacles due to officials' ignorance of bin capacity and collectors' schedules, causing unclean conditions and the development of deadly diseases. Internet of Things technology was used to create a smart waste classification system with a notification mechanism in this study. This system classifies waste into plastic, metal, B3, and organic using a Raspberry Pi 4, camera module, and deep learning model. The classification uses a Convolutional Neural Network to speed up waste processing and separation. This research can be linked with research on separating trash types in one container and then allocated to garbage bins by type. Ultrasonic sensors and Raspberry Pi 4 can continuously monitor waste levels by sending data to the Ubidots IoT platform over HTTP. Based on experimental device data, system analysis shows 90% classification accuracy for all four waste categories. A Wireshark network analysis showed 61,098 bytes/s of throughput, 16 ms of delay, and zero data loss, demonstrating the system's ability for real-time monitoring and alerting. This research provides a realistic, cost-effective, and minimal solution to improve garbage classification and reduce collection costs to promote sustainability.

Abstract

Tingkat Kesejahteraan Masyarkat Petani Padi Desa Sukarami, Putri Febriyanti, Prodi Pendidikan Geografi, universitas Prof Dr. Hazairin, S.H. Kota Bengkulu, pfebrianti54@gamil.com. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat petani padi Desa Sukarami Bengkulu Tengah. Umumnya masyarakat Desa Sukarami bekerja sebagai petani padi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tahun 2024. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat petani padi Desa Sukarami Bengkulu Tengah yang terdiri dari 20 kepala keluarga. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan indikator BKKBN menunjukan kesejahteraan rumah tangga petani padi Desa Sukarami Bengkulu Tengah adalah (55%) keluarga sejahtera III, (25%) tergolong ke dalam keluarga sejahtera II, dan hanya (20%) yang masuk ke dalam golongan keluarga sejahtera I. Lalu tidak ditemukan keluarga pra sejahtera dan keluarga sejahtera III plus pada masyrakat petani padi Desa Sukarami Bengkulu Tengah. Dari indikator BKKBN kesejahteraan petani padi Desa Sukarami Bengkulu Tengah tergolong Keluarga Sejahtera III, yaitu keluarga yang dikategorikan mampu memenuhi indikator keluarga sejahtera I dan II (indikator 1-14) dan 5 indikator kebutuhan pengembangan (Developmental Needs).

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in the Kampung Sejahtera Mangrove Forest, Bengkulu City and partnered with POKDARWIS 212. The Kampung Sejahtera mangrove forest is located in Kampung Melayu District, Bengkulu City.  This community service aims to solve priority problems that exist in partners, namely: Partners and the community still do not understand the positive impact of the existence of mangrove forest ecotourism on economic improvement; Lack of knowledge of the community around the mangrove forest ecotourism environment regarding the preservation and maintenance of mangrove forests; Lack of integrated information and promotion by mangrove forest POKDARWIS 212 partners. Community service activities are carried out with an initial observation stage through a pre-activity questionnaire, followed by an implementation stage with socialization and training, and the next stage conducts an evaluation. The outputs produced in this community service are: The formation of the 212 mangrove forest POKDARWIS cooperative; The formation of a Joint Business Group (KUBE) of MSMEs from the community around mangrove ecotourism; The existence of 3 mangrove-based creative products; The reforestation of mangrove forests that will be cultivated in the mangrove forest ecotourism of the prosperous village; The existence of an integrated website as a promotional forum; and 6) The existence of signboards as information media.Keywords: ecotourism; community based; mangrove forest of the prosperous village; bengkulu cit Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di Hutan Mangrove Kampung Sejahtera Kota Bengkulu dan bermitra bersama POKDARWIS 212. Hutan mangrove Kampung Sejahtera ini berada di Kecamatan Kampung melayu, Kota Bengkulu.  Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan permasalahan prioritas yang ada pada mitra, yaitu: Mitra dan masyarakat masih belum memahami dampak positif keberadaan ekowisata hutan mangrove terhadap peningkatan ekonomi; Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat sekitar lingkungan ekowisata hutan mangrove terkait pelestarian dan penjagaan hutan mangrove; Kurangnya informasi dan promosi yang terintegrasi oleh mitra POKDARWIS hutan mangrove 212. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan tahap observasi awal melalui kuesioner pra kegiatan, dilanjutkan dengan tahap pelaksanaan dengan sosialisasi dan pelatihan, dan tahap selanjutnya melakukan evaluasi. Luaran yang dihasilkan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: Terbentuknya koperasi POKDARWIS hutan mangrove 212; Terbentuknya Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE) dari UMKM masyarakat sekitar ekowisata mangrove; Adanya 3 produk kreatif berbahan dasar mangrove; Adanya reboisasi hutan mangrove yang akan di budidayakan di ekowisata hutan mangrove kampung sejahtera; Adanya website yang terintegrasi sebagai wadah promosi; dan 6) Adanya signboard sebagai media informasi.Kata kunci: ekowisata; berbasis masyarakat; hutan mangrove kampung sejahtera kota bengkulu
