Abstract

Penyakit darah tinggi atau hipertensi menyebabkan angka morbiditas dan mortalitas mengalami peningkatan akibatnya penyakit hipertensi masih menjadi kasus besar yang wajib ditangani. Bila obat digunakan secara tidak tepat dan tidak rasional maka bisa membuat semakin parah pada penderita hipertensi dan memperparah resiko komplikasi yang mengikutinya. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengevaluasi kerasionalan pemakaian antihipertensi kepada penderita hipertensi pada RSUD Maria Walanda Maramis Minahasa Utara. Jenis penelitian termasuk berjenis deskriptif yang pengambilan datanya dilaksanakan secara retrospektif selama bulan juli – September 2022 di instalasi rawat jalan RSUD Maria Walanda Maramis Minahasa Utara. Penelitian dilaksanakan tehadap 89 catatan rekam medik dengan penyakit hipertensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan evaluasi pengunaan obat antihipertensi yang rasional berdasar kepada karakteristik tepat pasien sebesar 100%, tepat indikasi (100%), tepat obat (98,88%), dan tepat dosis (97,76%).

Abstract

Di Indonesia hipertensi merupakan penyakit yang menjadi kontributor tunggal utama dari gagal ginjal, penyakit jantung, serta stroke, sehingga pemberian obat antihipertensi diharapkan dapat mengontrol tekanan dara penderita hipertensi. Hal terpenting jika pasien punya kepatuhan terapi dikarenakan hipertensi menjadi penyakit yang tidak bisa disembuhkan. Kepatuhan pasien didalam mengkonsumsi obat ataupun medication of adherence adalah tingkatan taatnya pasien dalam menuruti anjuran pengobatan yang dibagikan dari dokter maupun tenaga kesehatan lainnya.Pengujian ini punya tujuan dalam melihat tingkatan kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas Kakaskasen. Penelitian ini sifatnya observasional melalui pengambilan data dilakukan dengan deskriptif dan dinarasikan, metode pengumpulan data dilaksanakan denganprospektif mempergunakan lembaran kuesioner MMAS-8 (Morisky Medication Adherence Scale). Hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan selama bulan Desember 2022 menunjukkan tingkat kepatuhan tinggi berjumlah 28,77%, tingkat kepatuhan sedang berjumlah 53,42%, serta tingkat kepatuhan rendah berjumlah 17,81%.

Abstract

Sereh (Cymbopogon ciratus) termasuk tanaman obat banyak digunakan sebagai obat tradisional, daun sereh secara empiris digunakan untuk menurukan demam. Kenaikan suhu tubuh diatas normal disebut demam yaitu 36-37ºC. Antipiretik merupakan obat yang dipergunakan dalam penurunan suhu tubuh ketika orang menderita demam. Tujuan penelitian dalam melihat efektivitas infusa daun sereh (Cymbopogon ciratus) untuk antipiretik kepada Rattus norvegicus (tikus putih jantan)diinduksi vaksin DPT-Hb. Pengujian mempergunakan metode rancangan acak lengkap. Pengujian ini terdapat 5 perlakuan yakni kontrol negatif (Na-CMC), Kontrol positif (Paracetamol) dan kelompok uji yaitu pemberian infusa daun sereh dosis 6,3 mg/200grBB, 12,6 mg/200grBB, dan 25,2 mg/200grBB. Pengukuran suhu dilaksanakan sebelum diberikan vaksin DPT-Hb dan sesudah diberikan vaksin DPT-Hb. Tikus putih jantan diinduksi vaksin DPT-Hb dengan dosis 0,2 mL secara intramuscular. Suhu rektal diukur selama 3 jam dengan interval waktu 30 menit. Data yang didapatkan di analisis dengan paired sample test lalu dengan pengujian ANOVA dan Uji HSD (Honestly Significant Difference). Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada uji efek antipiretik menunjukkan penurunan suhu pada menit ke-180 pada dosis 6,3 mg/200grBB mengalami penurunan sebanyak 0,64ºC, pada dosis 12,6 mg/grBB mengalami penurunan suhu sebanyak 0,9ºC sedangkan pada dosis 25,2 mg/200grBB mengalami penurunan sebanyak 1,07ºC.

Abstract

Antioksidan merupakan zat yang menghambat atau mencegah kerusakan sel akibat oksidasi dari radikal bebas. Salah satu tanaman yang berkhasiat sebagai alternatif pengobatan tradisional dan berpotensi sebagai antioksidan adalah benalu pala. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah benalu pala memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dengan melakukan uji skrining fitokimia dan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan benalu pada tanaman pala dan diekstraksi dengan etanol 95% dengan metode maserasi kemudian dipekatkan dengan rotary evaporator pada suhu 40°C untuk mencegah dekomposisi senyawa yang terdapat didalamnya. Setelah itu, dilakukan uji skrining fitokimia yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa metabolit yang ada pada sampel. Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode DPPH pada panjang gelombang 517 nm dan pembanding vitamin C menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis, sedangkan uji skrining fitokimia secara kuantitatif dengan uji tabung reaksi untuk mengetahui senyawa-senyawa metabot yang ada seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, taniin, triterpenoid, dan steroid. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada uji skrining fitokimia, menunjukkan bahwa sampel memiliki senyawa metabolit seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, dan triterpenoid. Sedangkan untuk hasil uji antioksidan nilai IC50 yang diperoleh dari hasil persamaan regresi linier ialah 4,644 untuk ekstrak kasar dan nilai IC50 vitamin C sebagai pembanding 0,169. Berdasarkan hasil uji analisis yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa daya antioksidan yang didapatkan tergolong sangat kuat dan berpotensi menangkal radikal bebas DPPH.

Abstract

This service aims to help the Nyiur Melambai Farmers Group in Tomohon City in increasing the productivity of laying ducks through the application of locally made feed. The main problems faced by partners are the high price of commercial feed, low knowledge in making alternative feed, and suboptimal business management. The solutions implemented include training in processing feed from local ingredients, introduction to appropriate technology, and cage renovation. The results of this activity show an increase in feed production, a reduction in feed costs, and an increase in the capacity of partners in business management. This service contributes to increasing partner income and strengthening the sustainability of the laying duck business.

Abstract

This community service aims to optimize the production and marketing of organic soap made from eco enzymes in Tumatangtang Satu Village, Tomohon City. This organic soap is produced through the use of eco enzymes from abundant fruit and vegetable waste in the area. Although the business has been running, production is still limited to a home scale, and marketing is not optimal. The program includes the procurement of new equipment, production skills training, and the utilization of digital platforms for marketing. The results of this activity are expected to increase production up to 150 soaps per day and increase market reach through digital marketing.

Abstract

Infectious diseases, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia, are a common health problem, one of which is caused by bacteria. This study tested the antibacterial activity of Chinese betel leaf extract against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, with secondary metabolite content such as alkaloids, tannins, and flavonoids that act as antibacterials. This study was a laboratory experiment using a completely randomized design with three repetitions at five concentrations of extract, as well as one positive and negative control. The method used was the agar diffusion method, and the test results showed that Chinese betel leaf extract had antibacterial potential against Staphylococcus aureus at various concentrations tested. The concentrations used were 6µL/disc, 8µL/disc, 10µL/disc, 12µL/disc, and 14µL/disc, where all these categories produced inhibition zones included in the moderate category according to Susanto (2012). Statistical analysis using the Kruskal-Wallis test produced a significant value of 0.035 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between each concentration tested. From the research results, it can be concluded that Chinese betel leaf extract has effective antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Infectious diseases can be caused by microbiological agents, namely bacteria. The ability of bacteria to invade and cause infection is referred to as a pathogenicity. The results of phytochemical screening produced secondary metabolite compounds alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, phenolics that act as antibacterial. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of Sonneratia alba mangrove root infusa against Propionibacterium acnes and Salmonella typhi bacteria. This type of research is a laboratory experimental research, using the well method by doing three repetitions on 5 concentration series, 1 positive control and 1 negative control for two types of bacteria namely Propionibacterium acnes and Salmonella typhi. The results obtained from the Kruskal Wallis test on Propionibacterium acnes bacteria are Sig 0.028 < 0.05, and the results of the ANOVA test on Salmonella typhi bacteria from Sig = 0.000 < 0.05. And it is known in Propionibacterium acnes bacteria that 25% concentration inhibits 5.83 mm, 50% concentration inhibits 6.3 mm, 100% concentration inhibits 9.43 mm. And in Salmonella typhi bacteria that concentration is known that 25% concentration inhibits 9.73 mm, 50% concentration inhibits 9.43 mm, 100% concentration inhibits 11.57 mm. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Sonneratia alba root infusa has antibacterial activity on Propionibacterium acnes and Salmonella typhii bacteria.

Abstract

The most common health problem in Indonesia is bacterial infection. Dysphania ambrosioides L., also known as epazote leaves, is an herbal plant that has antimicrobial potential. This research was conducted to see at what concentration there is antibacterial activity of epazote leaf infusion Dysphania ambrosioides L. against Escherichia coli bacteria. This laboratory experimental study used a complete randomized design (RAL) research. Antibacterial activity testing of epazote leaves was carried out using the disc paper diffusion method with concentrations of 50%, 75%, and 100%. Epazote leaves are boiled in an infusion pan for 15 minutes, until the temperature reaches 90 degrees Celsius. Ampicillin positive control 10 ?g/disc. Based on the test results of secondary metabolites of positive epazote leaf infusion there are alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, triterpenoids, and phenolics. The results of the study showed that infusion of epazote leaves inhibited Escherichia coli bacteria by diameter inhibition. Average at a concentration of 50% = 14.04 mm, 75% = 16.92 mm, 100% = 17.94 mm, which means that there is antibacterial activity of epazote leaf infusion against Escherichia coli bacteria.

Abstract

Antibacterial is a compound used to control the growth of harmful bacteria. Mangrove plants are strongly suspected to have bioactive content, the bioactive content contained in mangrove plants is useful in the pharmaceutical field as a medicinal ingredient. Sonneratia alba root contains secondary metabolite compounds Flavanoids, tannins and alkaloids that act as antibacterials. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity of S.alba ethanol extract against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and Escherichia coli bacteria. Extraction method by maceration, long extraction time 3 days. The extract obtained is then evaporated solvent in the rotary evaporator then the extract results are made concentrations of 25?g, 50?g, 100?g, and 150?g. antibacterial testing using the Kirby-Bauer method. The results showed that at concentrations of 25?g, 50?g, 100?g, and 150?g Sonneratia alba mangrove roots had antibacterial activity. But those that have strong antibacterial activity in Escherichia coli bacteria are at a concentration of 50? with while in Staphylococcus aureus bacteria are at a concentration of 150?g with an inhibitory zone of 18.6mm, and in Escherichia coli bacteria with an inhibitory zone of 18,3mm.
