Abstract

Cerpen Ketam Batu karya Gus TF Sakai bercerita tentang kondisi kampung tokoh utama Fahmi yang telah berubah menjadi areal pertambangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi fenomena lingkungan dalam cerpen Ketam Batu karya Gus TF Sakai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pemaparan secara deskriptif. Data adalah frasa atau kalimat yang berkaitan dengan kerusakan lingkungan. Sumber data berasal dari cerpen karya Gus TF Sakai. Cerpen berasal dari koran Tempo yang terbit 5 Juni tahun 2020 web ruang sastra.com. Analisis data dilakukan dengan proses koding melalui bantuan perangkat lunak NVivo dengan pendekatan ekokritik Garrard. Hasil penelitian menunjukkkan bahwa terdapat enam aspek fenomena lingkungan yang dinarasikan pengarang, yaitu: hutan belantara, polusi, bencana alam, pemukiman, binatang, dan bumi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis nvivo pengarang lebih dominan menarasikan pemukiman dengan 12,03%, sedangkan narasi yang paling sedikit ditampilkan pengarang mengenai polusi, yaitu 1,57%. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa pengarang mengungkapkan keresahan mengenai tempat tinggalnya yang sudah tidak seperti dulu yang banyak ditumbuhi pohon dan ditinggali makhluk hidup. Penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pembelajaran lingkungan di Sekolah Dasar hingga Perguruan Tinggi agar siswa dan mahasiswa mencintai alam dan tidak melakukan eksploitasi secara.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the language used in the marriage proposal among the Bugis ethnic group. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. The data was obtained through participant observation and recording techniques of oral dialogues among the Bugis Wajo community in South Sulawesi. The data is presented in the form of a narrative of the proposal process recorded by the authors. Data collection involved recording the speech of the participants, which was then transcribed. The results were analyzed using the Dell Hymes communication ethnographic approach. The findings indicate that the proposal process was conducted formally, with a group of seven men making the proposal. The proposal was accepted and proceeded to the wedding procession with mappasiarekeng, which involves delivering the dowry money and determining the wedding day. The proposal was delivered via delivering the dowry money and determining the wedding day. The proposal was delivered via elong in a serious tone using fixed spoken language that cannot be interrupted, and only spokespersons designated by the proposer, the man and the woman being proposed to, spoke. The speech belongs to the madduta genre.

Abstract. Merlianti 2022. “Improving the Skills of Writing Advertising Texts for Class VIII-A Students of SMPN 16 Mandai Through the Picture and Picture Method". Thesis, Study Program of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Department of Indonesian Language and Literature, Faculty of Language and Letters, Makassar State University. (Supervised by Mayong and Azis)This study aims to determine the improvement of students' advertising text writing skills using the picture and picture method. The problem that is found in the implementation of this research in general is the lack of skills of class VIII-A students of SMPN 16 Mandai in learning to write advertising texts. This type of research is classroom action research using research procedures with this through the stages which include: planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The data of this research are in the form of process data and learning outcomes of writing advertisement text for class VIII A SMPN 16 Mandai.The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in student learning activities from cycle I to cycle II, namely the increase in the number of students in listening to the teacher's explanation, asking questions and answering questions, learning outcomes have also increased which can be proven from the results of the first cycle stage, which obtained a score of 570 and in cycle II 677 So that the application of the picture and picture method can increase the frequency of activity and activities by meeting the KKM standards. So that the teaching and learning process is in accordance with the observations of students during the implementation of class actions, it is enough for two cycles.Keywords: Improvement, Writing Ad Text, Picture And Picture Method

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to (1) determine the differences in the short story writing skills of students in class XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 2 Gowa before and after using the peer tutoring learning method (2) prove the effectiveness of the use of peer tutoring learning methods on the short story writing skills of students in class XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 2 Gowa. The type of research used in this research is experimental research "One Group Pretest - Posttest Design". Data collection techniques used in this study were tests, observations, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis and inferential statistics analysis. The results of this study indicate that the students' short story writing skills in the pretest obtained an average score of 64.68 and were in the less category with a frequency of 25 students (78.12%). Then it increased in the posttest which obtained an average score of 82.96 and was in the good category with a frequency of 18 students (56.25%). The results of the t-test in this study also showed a significance value (2 tailed) or p-value smaller than the significance level (0.000 < 0.05), then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average value of short story writing skills for students of class XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 2 Gowa before and after using the peer tutoring learning method and the peer tutoring learning method was effectively used for the short story writing skills of students of class XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 2 Gowa. Keywords: Effectiveness, Peer Tutoring Method, Short Story

Abstract

Abstract.This study aims to describe the aspects of character needs in the Senja dan Pagi novels by Alffy Rev and Linka Angelia based on Abraham Maslow's humanistic psychology theory, and describe the character values of the Senja dan Pagi novels by Alffy Rev and Linka Angelia. This type of research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted by reading the entire story chapter through the novel Senja dan Pagi by Alffy Rev and Linka Angelia. The focus of this research is aspects of the character's humanistic psychological needs and  character values. The data sources of this research are obtained from the novel Senja dan Pagi by Alffy Rev and Linka Angelia in the form of sentences or ideas, ideas and quotes that contain: aspects of the character's humanistic psychological needs and character values. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out with reading, note-taking and documentation techniques. The research instrument consisted of the main instrument, namely the researcher himself and supporting instruments such as highlighter and cellphone for documentation. The results of the study found two things, first, aspects of the humanistic psychological needs of the characters in the novel "Senja dan Pagi by Alffy Rev and Linka Angelia" which include: basic psychological needs, the need for security, the need for love and belonging, the need for appreciation and the need for self-actualization. Second, character values include: religious, hard work, creative, independent, curiosity, love for the homeland, respect for achievement, and social care. Keywords: Humanistic Psychology, Character Values, Senja and Pagi Novels

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to: (1) describe the reading culture of PBSI Makassar State University students; (2) describe the factors that influence the reading culture of PBSI Makassar State University students; (3) describe efforts to improve reading culture in PBSI students at Makassar State University. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects in this study were students of class 2019 of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program, Faculty of Language and Literature, Makassar State University. Meanwhile, the object of this research is reading culture, the factors that influence the formation of reading culture, and the efforts made by students in improving reading culture. The data collection technique used in this research is in the form of a questionnaire. The data in this study were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of research related to reading culture in Indonesian Language and Literature Education students are at a very good level. There are eleven factors that influence the formation of reading culture in students. And, there are nine efforts made by students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Language and Literature, Makassar State University in improving reading culture. Keywords: culture, reading, college student

Abstract

Choose comparative adjectives as a fundamental problem in persuasive texts. Disclosure of each sentence with the method used content analysis. Data sources were persuasive texts of Indonesian Language and Literature Education students, Faculty of Language and Literature, State University of Makassar, 2017. Data were collected using documentation techniques. Data were analyzed by transcribing first to explore the comparative alternating adjectives. The findings of this study indicate that comparative adultery is healthier than sick or less healthy; faster, slow, not fast; penance more conscious than the word unconscious; one word lighter than weight in it states a comparison which all show as comparative. Adjective word turns out to strengthen the persuasive text so that the reader is more intrigued to read and apply information obtained in the text; comparative adjective adjectives sometimes are followed by the use of instead, and sometimes not the word is followed, but it is implied.

Abstract

Konflik Batin Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Konspirasi Alam Semesta Karya Fiersa Besari Tinjauan Psikologi Sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan berbagai konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama, (2) penyebab terjadinya konflik  (3) upaya penyelesaian konflik batin tokoh utama novel Konspirasi Alam Semesta karya Fiersa Besari. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif menggunakan teori Sigmund Freud. Desain penelitian  yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik membaca dan mencatat. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa wujud konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama dalam novel Konspirasi Alam Semesta yang terdiri dari sakit hati, benci, kebimbangan, takut, cemas, penyesalan. Faktor penyebab konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama yaitu: (1) keluarga yang kurang harmonis, (2) penghianatan, (3) kehilangan, dan (4) ambisius. Upaya penyelesaian konflik batin yang dilakukan oleh tokoh utama dengan cara kesadaran diri, kompromi, dan berdamai dengan keadaan.

Abstract

The Use of Slang in Memes on Social Media Instagram. The study aims to: (1) review the slang form of meme and (2) examine the social function of using slang in meme. This type of study is qualitative work it is done in Makassar and via Internet access to instagram. The research design used is a qualitative description. The focus of the study, which focuses on the slang form of words, phrases, clauses, sentences, and calls, as well as the social function of the slang language, shows a direct view of social media in the slang language. The data-gathering technique covered by the reading and research instrument quotes consists of the main instruments that are researchers and supporting instruments that include smartphones. Studies reveal that the use of slang in social media has been found in two things: (1) expressions of using the slang language, including phrases, clauses, and sentences, and (2) as for the function of using the slang language, four are found: consoling, criticizing, insinuating, and counseling.

Abstract

This study aims: (1) Describe the results of learning to write news texts by applying the reciprocal learning model in cycle I for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Bone-Bone; (2) Describe the results of learning to write news texts by applying the reciprocal learning model in cycle II for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Bone-Bone. This research is a classroom action research. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in student learning activeness from cycle I to cycle II which also affects the increase in student learning outcomes. The results of increased learning in terms of the process are marked by an increase in student activity in implementing the results of observations of the activities of teachers and students in cycle I and students in cycle II. The improvement in terms of learning outcomes in writing news texts was marked by the average score of students in cycle I was 73, and the average value of students in cycle II was 84. Thus the application of the reciprocal learning model
