Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan kepada para tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan secara komprehensif terkait dengan bagaimana ; merencanakan, mengorganisasi, melaksanakan, memonitoring dan evaluasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran khusus di masa normal baru di SMA NW Mataram. Metode yang digunakan adalah dalam bentuk workshop yang lebih berbasis pada praktek langsung menyusun perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, monitoring dan evaluasi pembelajaran bauran. Data hasil pengabdian dikumpulkan melalui asesmen pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukan bahwa para pendidik dan kependidikan memiliki pemahaman dan keterampilan tentang pembelajaran di masa normal baru mulai dari konsep, model dan prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran, penyusunan perencanaan pembelajaran secara keseluruhan, namun masih memerlukan pendalaman yang lebih teknis dalam mendesain perencanaan pembelajaran dan mendesain instrumen-instrumen monev pembelajaran di masa normal baru. Selain itu memiliki keterampilan-keterampilan dalam pelaksanaan dan menginterpretasi data hasil monev serta mengembangkan pembelajaran di masa normal baru berbasis hasil monev

Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving abilities related to sequences and series among XI grade students at SMAN 1 Sakra, considering gender differences. The research follows a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing interview-based test questions as instruments. These questions will be analyzed based on Polya’s problem-solving indicators. From a total of 70 students, six were selected—three male and three female students—to represent different levels of mathematical problem-solving abilities: high, moderate, and low. The findings reveal that high-ability male students understand problems, plan and execute solutions (though with operational errors), and perform checks without writing conclusions. Moderate-ability male students partially meet the problem-solving criteria. Low-ability male students do not meet all the indicators. Among high-ability female students, understanding, planning, execution, and checking occur, but conclusions are missing. Moderate-ability female students also fall short in completeness and checking indicators. Low-ability female students only meet the understanding phase.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penalaran matematis dan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar materi statistika siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Lombok Barat Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode ex-post facto. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 41 siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Lombok Barat yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen angket kemandirian belajar dan instrumen tes berupa soal uraian mengenai penalaran matematis dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi statistika. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, analisis regresi, Uji t dan Uji F. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Terdapat pengaruh signifikan penalaran matematis terhadap hasil belajar materi statistika siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Lombok Barat Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024, dengan 14 orang (34%) memperoleh nilai penalaran matematis tinggi dan 14 orang (34%) memperoleh nilai penalaran matematis rendah. 2) Terdapat pengaruh signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar materi statistika siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Lombok Barat Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024, dengan 20 orang (49%) memperoleh nilai kemandirian belajar tinggi. 3) Terdapat pengaruh signifikan penalaran matematis dan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar materi statistika siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Lombok Barat tahun ajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

The non-linear mathematical model of the break even point (BEP) problem is difficult to solve analytically to obtain an exact solution, so the alternative is to solve it numerically. This research aims to solve the BEP problem and measure the effectiveness of Brent's method compared to other solution methods based on error and number of iterations. This research is an applied type whose implementation procedures include preparation, implementation, program testing, program revision, analysis, and conclusion. The errors of Brent’s, secant, false position, and bisection methods in solving the BEP problem are 0.00118; 0.00893; 0.64485; and 0.89119, respectively. While the number of iterations from several checks are 52, 53, 91, and 101, respectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Brent’s method is more effective than the other three methods.

Abstract

Mathematical communication skills are students' ability to process vocabulary, notation and mathematical structures both in the form of reasoning, representation and problem solving in mathematics. This research aims to describe the mathematical communication skills of class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 2 Pringgarata in the 2023/2024 academic year with high and low self-confidence. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The research results showed that (1) students with high self-confidence are able to interpret mathematical ideas in writing both in the form of reasoning, representation, and solving mathematical problems using appropriate mathematical terms and are able to fulfill all indicators of mathematical communication, namely presenting symbols, creating mathematical models, and write. (2) Students with low self confidence are only able to create mathematical models. Students with low self-confidence are not yet able to interpret mathematical ideas in writing either in the form of reasoning, representation, or solving mathematical problems using appropriate mathematical terms.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how learning independence and critical thinking influence the mathematics learning outcomes of grade 8th students at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram in academic year 2023/2024. This research is a quantitative with a research approach with an ex-post facto method. The population of this research was 402 students in grade 8th at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram. The sample size was 75 students who were determined using cluster random sampling techniques. The instruments in this research used an learning independence questionnaire, an critical thinking questionnaire, and a mathematics learning outcomes test in the form of essay questions. Data was analyzed using linear regression analysis it was found that there is a joint positive and significant relation between learning independence and critical thinking on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade 8th at at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram in academic year 2023/2024 with the regression equation. The correlation coefficient value is 0,875, that means to have a strong influence and contribution to learning outcomes is 76,5%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash to improve student motivation and learning outcomes that are valid, practical, and effective. This research and development study uses the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the study are eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Aziziyah Putra Gunungsari. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods regarding the validity of the learning media, which was obtained from validation sheets, the practicality of the learning media, which was obtained from questionnaires filled out by students and teachers regarding the learning media, and the effectiveness of the learning media, which was obtained from questionnaires on student motivation and pretest and posttest results.The results of the study indicate that: (1) the interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash developed in this study is valid, with an average validation score of 0.82, categorized as very valid; (2) the interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash developed is practical, with an average practicality score of 90.32%, categorized as very practical; (3) the interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash developed is effective, as seen from the increase in student motivation with an N-gain score of 76.5%, categorized as high. Additionally, there was an improvement in student learning outcomes with an N-gain score of 56.11%, categorized as moderate. Therefore, the interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash is suitable for enhancing student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the subjects that plays an important role in everyday life (Elpriska 2018). Mathematics that is related to the experiences and daily life of students can be used as an interesting source of learning. However, in reality, mathematics learning in schools has not maximally achieved its goals (Prasetia, 2016). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using LKPD learning media based on Sasak cultural ethnomathematics on the learning outcomes of geometry material for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Mataram. The research approach used is quantitative with a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population of this study is all eighth-grade students of SMPN 7 Mataram, and the sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. The sample examined is eighth-grade students as the control class and VIII-F as the experimental class. The research instruments included test questions and observations. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The learning media used was the LKPD based on the ethnomathematics of Sasak culture. The results of the study indicate that the use of learning media effectively improves the learning outcomes of the geometry material of curved surface shapes for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Mataram for the 2024/2025 academic year. This effectiveness is indicated by (1) an increase in the average learning outcomes of the experimental class of 0.8613 which is in the high category; (2) a significant difference in the average math learning outcomes between the control and experimental classes based on the independent sample t-test where t count = 5.861 > 2.005 =
