Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Question Card media on students' critical thinking skills in the IPAS subject on the topic of Human Digestive Organs in Grade V at SD Negeri 123 Palembang for the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quantitative approach using a Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population consisted of 137 fifth-grade students, and the sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling, resulting in class V.C as the experimental group and class V.D as the control group, with a total of 67 students. The instrument used was a critical thinking test consisting of 10 essay questions, which had been validated for reliability, difficulty level, and discriminating power. Hypothesis testing was conducted using an Independent Sample t-Test after the data met the requirements for normality and homogeneity. The results showed that the average critical thinking score in the experimental class was 81.73 (very good), while the control class scored 70.37 (good). The t-test results showed that the t value (3.362) was greater than the t table (2.001) at a significance level of 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Question Card media has a significant effect on students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning.

Abstract

The utilization of a computer-based approach offers numerous advantages for work-based learning in the field of accounting. This approach enables students to simulate intricate accounting tasks and scenarios using specialized software applications, thus furnishing them with a lifelike environment to cultivate practical skills. The electronic module (e-module) encompasses a range of interactive exercises, case studies, and simulations meticulously designed to replicate genuine workplace situations. This research aims to develop an effective computer-based work-based learning (WBL) accounting e-module that enhances students' practical skills and their ability to apply accounting knowledge in real-world scenarios. The research followed a research and development approach, utilizing the Rowntree development model. Formative evaluation was conducted based on Tessmer & Martin's theory. The study consisted of stages including analysis of teaching materials, tailored e-module development, prototype creation (paper-based and computer-based), expert evaluation, and field testing. The developed accounting e-module successfully simulates real workplace situations through interactive exercises, case studies, and simulations. Expert evaluation confirmed the suitability of the learning media. Field testing, encompassing various settings, revealed increased student engagement, motivation, and improved learning outcomes. This research led to the creation of a robust work-based learning (WBL) accounting computer e-module. The module effectively bridges theoretical learning with practical application, enhancing students' skills and performance in the field of accounting. The findings affirm the viability and effectiveness of the developed e-module as a valuable pedagogical tool.

Abstract

This study examines the deposit and withdrawal processes of student funds at the Bank Sumsel Babel Cash Office, Sriwijaya University. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through direct observation, interviews with bank staff and students, and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The findings indicate that transaction procedures have generally been implemented in accordance with banking standards and supported by an integrated core banking system. However, several challenges remain, including errors in transaction slip completion, long queues during peak hours, limited cash availability at certain times, and occasional system disruptions. The study concludes that while the services operate effectively overall, improvements in customer education, service efficiency, and technological infrastructure are needed to enhance service quality for students.
