Abstract

The role of PKK members is crucial in promoting health at the family and community levels in Indonesia. This community service project aimed to strengthen the role of 17 PKK members in Jomblangan Village through structured health education and empowerment training. Utilizing a participatory action approach, the program focused on five thematic areas: balanced nutrition, stunting prevention, hygiene and sanitation, maternal and child health, and home-based first aid. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests, observation, and focus group discussions. The average knowledge score increased by 29%, and participants demonstrated behavioral changes such as improved dietary practices, regular growth monitoring, and proper hygiene habits. Qualitative data also revealed enhanced motivation and willingness to share knowledge within the community. The findings confirm that PKK members, when equipped with appropriate knowledge and skills, can become effective grassroots health promoters. The program proved effective, acceptable, and replicable, providing a scalable model for similar communities. Continuous mentoring and digital engagement are recommended for long-term sustainability.

Abstract

Addressing the prevalence of anemia in female adolescents requires the active engagement of multiple sectors. The COVID-19 pandemic has hampered the school-based weekly iron folate supplementation (WIFAS) program which may lead to an increased anemia prevalence in female adolescents. The role of community-based organizations in assisting preexisting programs is supposed to alleviate the prevalence effectively. This study aimed to analyze the role of a community-based organization (CBO) consisting of youth organizations and integrated services post cadres in a program to improve hemoglobin level in Sirnagalih Village, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. This pre-experimental study involved 89 female adolescents. After the intervention conducted by the CBO, significant differences were identified in the level of knowledge, attitudes, and hemoglobin (Hb) levels of female adolescents (p<0.05). The linear regression test obtained a statistical model equation related to female adolescents' Hb levels after being assisted by the CBO (R = 0.821, p = 0.000). The variable role of CBO, understanding media information, initial Hb level, adherence to consuming WIFAS, and habits to consume iron enhancer food of female adolescents can explain the Hb levels as much as 82%.

This study aims to reveal the financial management of ZIS at BAZNAS BAZIS DKI Jakarta for their Health Program “Jak B Sehat”. This research is qualitative with an intrinsic case study. Data collection was conducted by in-depth interviews from 3 BAZIS employees and 2 beneficiaries, and document review. In general, financial management at BAZIS DKI is well executed because it has demonstrated a lawful source of funds, the financing management mechanism is carried out according to Shari'a, and the allocation of funds has a high impact on beneficiaries. However, there are obstacles that create less efficient task, such as technical problems and a lack of human resources. Jak B Sehat as a result of the financial management process has a positive impact among the beneficiaries, such as removing tatoos and ambulance delivery. Therefore, more human resources number is recommended to avoid double tasks and accelerate ZIS collection. Keywords: ZIS Financial Management, Jak B Sehat
