Abstract

This research is motivated by the facts that occur in the field, namely students are lazy and bored in learning. In addition, there are still many teachers who use conventional learning models, namely lectures without using media in teaching aids. Thus, researchers want to compare the use of Youtube media in learning and not using Youtube media in learning. This study aims to examine differences in improving student learning outcomes in learning negotiating text using YouTube media in learning and by not using Youtube media in learning. To answer the problem formulation, the researcher used a quasi-experimental non-equivalent pre-test post-test control group design method. The population in this study was class X SMKN 1 Klari with purposive sampling and two classes were selected, namely class X MP-1 (N=40) as the experimental class using Youtube media and class X TKJ-1 (N=40) as the experimental class. control using Youtube media. Based on the results of data processing using SPSS 16 Software for Windows, it was concluded that the average pre-test score for the two classes was relatively the same before being given treatment, namely 56 for the experimental class and 55 for the control class. Then the post-test score for the experimental class was 86 and the control class was 67. Furthermore, the N-gain score for the experimental class was 0.681, which means that there was a change before and after using Youtube media with moderate interpretation in learning negotiating text for class X students of SMKN 1 Klari. Whereas for the control class the N-Gain score showed a result of 0.681, which means that there were changes before and after using the lecture model without Youtube with low interpretation in learning negotiating text for class X students of SMKN 1 Klari. This means that the use of Youtube media is better than the lecture learning model without Youtube and there are significant differences in the learning outcomes of class X students at SMKN 1 Klari.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Nature Learning model in the ability to write poetry texts in class VIII students at MTsN 4 Karawang. In this learning context, students need to understand the elements involved in composing poetry. This research attempts to apply the Nature Learning learning model in learning to write poetry for Grade VIII students at MTsN 4 Karawang. This research method is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The population of this study were all students of class VIII at MTsN 4 Karawang, and the sample was selected using a random sampling method, with two classes selected: class VIII A as the control group and class VIII C as the experimental group. Data was collected through a poetry writing test. The validity of the instrument was tested using construct validity by consulting experts and trials on students who had studied pantun material at Rengasdengklok 2 Public Middle School. Data were analyzed using the t-test with a significance level of 5%, after ensuring that the data prerequisites were met (normality test, homogeneity test, and N-gain test using SPSS version 26). The results of data analysis showed that both groups had normal data distribution (significance value > 0.05) and data homogeneity (values > 0.05 for pretext and posttest homogeneity). This study found a significant difference between the control and experimental groups with a significance level of 0.001 <0.05. The Nature Learning learning model has an average N-gain value of 56.17%, indicating a sufficient level of effectiveness in learning to write poetry. The final results of this study indicate that the application of the Nature Learning learning model has a significant difference from the application of conventional models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Medan Makna Negosiasi Antara Pembeli Dengan Penjual Dipasar Tradisional Jl. Kayu Tinggi Jakarta Timur Serta Rekomendasinya Sebagai Bahan Ajar Teks Negosiasi Siswa Kelas X SMA (Studi pada Penjual Pakaian Dewasa Dipasar Tradisional Jl. Kayu Tinggi Jakarta Timur)”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana negosiasi antara penjual dan pembeli melakukan transaksi jual beli di toko pakaian dewasa pada pasar tradisional Jl. Kayu Tinggi Terletak di RT.012/RW.009. Teori yang digunakan adalah perilaku negosiasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan tiga teknik yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian menujukan bahwa negosiasi antara pedagang dan pembeli dalam menentukan kesepakatan harga ketika tawar-menawar barang dan penjelasan terhadap barang yang diperdagangkan, adanya timbal balik yang terjadi ketika melakukan tawar menawar antara kedua pihak karena pedagang pakaian pasar tradisional Jl. Kayu Tinggi Terletak di RT.012/RW.009 identik dengan tawar-menawar, serta penjelasan yang diberikan oleh pedagang akan membuat pembeli kembali bertanya ataupun memberi respon terhadap penjelasan pedagang.

Abstract

The mixing of two or more languages in communication in everyday life to facilitate what is conveyed. This is what causes code switching and code mixing in language. Code-switching is the transition of one language to another, while code-mixing is the use of a language in which there are elements of another language. This research describes the forms and factors that cause code-switching and code-mixing in the social interaction of sellers and buyers at Johar Market in Karawang, and its recommendation as a handout for class X negotiation text. This research uses qualitative method. The data source used in this research is through social interaction between sellers and buyers in Johar Market, Karawang. Data collection techniques in this study used observation techniques, recording techniques, listening and recording techniques. Internal code switching and external code switching were found. Factors causing code switching, namely speaker factors, interlocutor factors, and factors that generate a sense of humor. The form of code mix is word form, phrase form, clause form, and word repetition form. The factors that cause code mixing are role factors and the desire to explain. Code-switching and code-mixing in social interactions at Johar Market in Karawang occur because sellers and buyers want to build closeness and fulfill each other's goals.

Abstract

Information is a primary need for the community, especially in Indonesia. This is because news contains reports of an event or events, situations, and conditions that are important and interesting to meet the curiosity of the audience. The news we read is the result of social construction involving the views, ideologies, and values of a media. The existence of the media demands accuracy, accuracy, and facts that have truth. The objectives of this study are 1) To describe the results of the framing analysis of the news of the Ferdy Sambo case in the January 2023 edition of CNN Indonesia.com online media through the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki model framing analysis approach 2) To determine the use of the results of the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kos model framing analysis for Indonesian learning.

Abstract

The Minyakita brand is a registered trademark for palm cooking oil, owned by the Director General of Domestic Trade under the Ministry of Trade. Since its introduction, Minyakita has gained popularity in the market and has become a widely used cooking oil by the public. The research focuses on the media coverage of Minyakita, specifically analyzing online platforms like Kompas.com, Pikiranrakyat.com, and Tribunnews.com using Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis. The primary objective of this study is to employ Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis on news articles related to Minyakita from January to February 2023, published on Kompas.com, Pikiranrakyat.com, and Tribunnews.com. This analysis is intended to provide insights that can be utilized as instructional content for teaching news text comprehension to seventh-grade junior high school students. A qualitative approach with descriptive methods is employed for this study. Data collection involves observing and noting 15 relevant news articles from the specified time period and media outlets. A framing analysis guide, aligned with Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's perspectives, is used as the research instrument. Data analysis consists of data reduction, presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal both similarities and differences among the online media platforms. All three platforms adhere to a complete script structure, incorporating the 5W+1H elements and citing the same source. However, discrepancies arise in their thematic structures. Kompas.com, Pikiranrakyat.com, and Tribunnews.com do not share the same wording when emphasizing the news messages. The insights obtained from Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis of the Minyakita news coverage from January to February 2023 in the mentioned online media outlets are recommended for crafting news text handouts suitable for seventh-grade junior high school students. These teaching materials can facilitate the comprehension and analysis of news texts in the classroom setting.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the meaning of the language styles contained in the album "Manusiaku Humanmu Humannya" and to determine the form of teaching materials as recommendations for poetry learning for class X students. This type of research is qualitative research. This research approach uses a stylistic approach that focuses on the meaning of the Mustache and Beard song album entitled "Manusiaku Humanmu Humannya". This research method uses descriptive analysis methods. The subject of this research uses 8 songs which are the best works on the album. This research instrument uses tables with a structured data format. Based on research results from the analysis of the album, the song "Manusiaku Humanmu Humanmu" produces 39 language styles. Consisting of 3 hyperboles, 4 metaphors, 9 personifications, 5 similes, 6 allegories, 6 euphemisms, 5 symbolic ones, and 1 repetition. The language style that is widely used is personification and the language style that is least used is repetition. . Then use it as a recommendation for teaching materials in the form of audio visuals for class X students' poetry learning.

Abstract

This research uses speech act theory according to Prayitno (2011:41) that directive speech acts do not only function to inform something. Directive speech acts have a very important role in everyday communication and are used to achieve various goals in social interactions. The research carried out was related to the analysis of directive speech acts in the "Si Bolang" broadcast on the Edutainment Trans7 Official YouTube channel. With a total of four "Si Bolang" video views on the Trans7 Official Edutainment YouTube channel. Utilization of research results of analysis of directive speech acts in the "Si Bolang" broadcast for junior high school level Indonesian language learning as teaching material for handouts of experimental report text material. With the basic competencies and core competencies of the 2013 curriculum found in class IX odd semester. The results of this research show what forms of directive speech acts and speech act strategies are used in broadcasts. This research uses descriptive qualitative research to analyze the object of study of directive speech in the show "Si Bolang". This research uses a qualitative research approach. The results of this research focus on analyzing the form of directive speech acts and strategies for directive speech acts. The form of directive speech acts has six forms, namely, commands, invitations, advice, prohibitions, criticism and requests. Meanwhile, there are two types of directive speech act strategies, direct speech act strategies and indirect speech act strategies. The results of the analysis contained 139 data (commands), 22 data (invitations), 4 (advice), 2 data (prohibitions), 2 data (criticism) and 12 data (requests). There are two strategies for directive speech acts in the research, namely direct speech act strategies, there are 170 data, and indirect speech act strategies, there are 11 data.

Abstract

In carrying out activities as a social creature, it is necessary and can cause language variations. Language variations that have different forms but have forms that resemble language in general. Language variants do not arise as a result of different speakers, but may exist as a result of the emergence of social interactions carried out in various ways. In this research, we examine language variations in terms of formality in the speech of salesmen and buyers in several points in the East Jakarta area with the problem of 1) How do the variations in language used by PT Karyatama salesmen advance successfully to buyers, and 2) What are the results of utilizing the language variations used? by the salesman of PT Karyatama Maju Berjaya to buyers as teaching material for class The theory used is the theory of Martin Joos and Abdul Chaer and Agustina (2010) which relates to language variations in terms of formality. The method used by the author is a descriptive qualitative method and the approach used is a sociolinguistic approach. Based on the research results, it can be concluded as follows: 1) 97 data were found, of which 15 data were in the form of casual variety, 42 data were in the form of familiar variety, and 40 data were in the form of business variety. Meanwhile, for the frozen variety and formal variety, the author did not find this data, and 2) the form of use was in the form of teaching materials in the form of handouts for negotiation text material for class X SMA.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of using the imagination suggestion model with the ‘Tanya’ board game media to improve the poetry writing ability of class VIII students at SMPN 1 Majalaya Karawang. This research was conducted using quantitative approach and quasi experimental method. Data were obtained through test and questionnaire techniques. The data obtained will go through normality test, independent sample t test, homogeneity, Mann Whitney test, and N-Gain test. The results showed that there was a significant capability difference between students who used the imagination suggestion model assisted by the board game media ‘Tanya’ and students who did not use the imagination suggestion model with the board game media ‘Tanya’. This is evidenced by the results of the N-Gain test of the posttest value in the experimental class of 56.1797 which is categorised as quite effective in improving the ability to write poetry.
