Abstract

Abstract:   Along with the development of technology, the internet is becoming very popular in the public, especially in the e-commerce section. Expedition business plays a key role in e-commerce because it facilitates the flow of goods to arrive at its destination. Seeing that opportunity, expedition service has become a very competitive business and it makes people confused about which expedition they want to use. Therefore, it affects the customer switching behavior, this situation is a big problem for service providers, because Customer will be reduced and profits will decrease. This study aims to determine the Influence of Reputation, Distance and Involuntary switching on Customer Switching Behavior at PT.JNE in Manado. This research applied causal type with quantitative research method. 100 respondents from customers PT.JNE in Manado were samples of this study. Findings indicate that the reputation and distance are significantly influence the customer switching behavior. Meanwhile, involuntary switching is insignificantly influenced the customer switching behavior. As a suggestion aimed at PT. JNE companies, in order to pay attention to the reputation of the company and company location or distance, because these things if not in the notice will causes the customer switching. Keywords: switching behavior, reputation, distance, involuntary switching

Abstract

Abstract: The stock market is all about dynamics and that is why investors and fund managers have always been confronted with the problem of accurately predicting the stock prices so as to earn decent returns. Investment in shares offers the benefit of liquidity as well as the opportunity to beat the market and earn high returns. However, the task of predicting share prices is far from simple. Share price movement is not independent in nature and both intrinsic, as well as extrinsic factors, have been established to exercise influence over stock price movements. The purpose of this research is to analyze factors influencing stock price of the banking sector in the Indonesian Stock Exchange index. The objects of this research are banking stocks that are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research is an explorative study and uses a quantitative method which utilizes technical analysis and t-test as the tool of analysis. The research results show that the upward movement of banking stocks happened in the year 2008 and the factor influencing this movement is the increase in interest rate announcement by Bank Indonesia. Recommendation derived from this research is for investors and fund managers to give more attention towards announcement and interest rate of a sector in the country in their investment portfolio.Keywords: stock price, interest rate, political effects, economic effects

Abstract

Abstract: But as time goes by, smartphone users become selective for selecting smartphone and some companies try to develop the smartphone with affordable price that can be reached by various circles of people. This increases competition among smartphone companies in creating affordable and high quality smartphone products. This research aims to find out the positioning on perceptual mapping of mid end smartphone products through quantitative approach from a potential customer in manado by using the multi dimensional scalling. The sample of this research using non probability sampling with 120 respondents of consumers that has knowledge and experience of using various kind of top smartphone products. This research has indentified the positioning of samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi, and Asus in customer mind using multi dimensional scale and considered by 6 smartphones attributes. These results show that Samsung became the most preferred brand of smartphone consumers compared to other smartphone brands. Samsung should maintain or improve the quality and give more innovative by provide new smartphone with affordable price so the consumers in all type will be more prefered with the Samsung than other brands.Keywords: perceptual mapping, positioning, multi dimensional scaling analysis

Abstract

Abstract: For customers, brand means familiarity and credibility as they get to experience some contacts in their everyday life; therefore, they use the brands as an indicator to try or making decision to buy new product. Consumers especially in developing countries have certain expectations from the brands and tend to rely on brand as indicator to purchase by default. The shoes industry is one of the markets that consumers are facing various choices of international and local brand and these products are seen to be popular for consumers. The aim of this research is to analyze consumer preferences between International over Local brand in Manado measure by durability, country of origin, price, and style. This research is quantitative type of research, which uses primary data obtained through questionnaires and uses independent sample t-test as the analytical tool. The population of this research is peoples in Manado who has experience in Everbest and Buccheri brands, where the sample size is taken from 100 respondents who also has experience with both brands. The result from this research found that there is no significant difference between Everbest and Buccheri brands measured by durability, country of origin, price, and style. Everbest and Bucccheri should more considering on the factors that influence the consumer buying behavior.Keywords: comparative analysis, consumer preferences, shoes, international and local brand, everbest and buccheri.

Abstract

This study aims to examine if there are significant effect of importance and performance analysis of promotional in Indomaret Point Manado. This study is a quantitative research by distributing quistionnaires using Likert Scale. The sample in this research is consisting of 100 respondents. The sampling was applied in this research regarding to obtain information according to customers who have purchases at Indomaret Point Manado. This research figured out consumer preference and perspective of which promotion is important to them and promotion that needs an improvement using IPA tool. With contributions of the customers of Indomaret Point Manado, the researcher answered the problem questions.  There were 100 questionnaires returned, and primary data acquired were all from the questionnaires include the characteristics of customers that have participated in this research such as gender, age, education background, occupation, working period and income. Based on research results and Importance and Performnce Analysis grip, researcher found that Indomaret Point Manado overall deliver not so good performance on promotion, because only five attributes in quadrant II, less than other importance attribute according to the customers. Keywords: Indomaret, promotional, importance and performance analysis

Abstract

Abstract: In order to make the job running well, every employee must have their own commitment for working on the company. Employee commitment is viewed as being a key prerequisite for the effective execution of projects, operational processes and the successful implementation of organizational change programs. This study is expected to give input to the company especially regarding with the full time and part time employee and how to make them commit with the job and organization. The sample size of this research is 30 employees that currently working in Starbucks Manado Town Square and using T-Test Method. Based on the result of this research, there is significant difference on Employee commitment measured by Motivation, there is significant difference on Employee commitment measured by Responsibility, there is no significant difference on Employee commitment measured by Achievement, there is significant difference on Employee commitment measured by Personal Life. So, based on the findings in this research, there are some recommendations for Starbucks Manado Town Square. Starbucks Manado Town Square should pay attention to all of the employees so they can maintain their commitment.Keywords: employee commitment, human resource management, motivation, responsibility, achievement, personal life, t-test method.

Abstract

Abstract: For centuries, textiles and clothing styles have been one of the most obvious and poignant indicators of cross-cultural interchange. With the rapid rise of globalization over the past several decades, the spread of fashion across global cultures has mirrored the changes in economy, culture, and daily life that globalization has brought. This research aims to see if there any significant difference of Customer Engagement between Single Woman and Married Woman branded fashion apparel in Manado. This research is using quantitative research methodology. The populations in this research are all woman who buy branded fashion apparel in Manado. The sample for this research is consists of 100 people, divided into 50 Single Woman and 50 Married Woman. The result shows that there is a significant difference in terms of consumer engagement between single woman and married woman on branded fashion apparel in terms of consumer engagement. The mean value of the married woman is higher than the single woman. The recommendation of this research is hence the focus of the improvement in order to develop a better strategy approach to boost the sales to the brand should be prioritized mostly in these 3 indicators which are trust, brand community, and loyalty, particularly aimed to the single woman.Keywords: customer engagement, engagement marketing.

Abstract

Consumer awareness is the source that supports people to make a decision and make the right choice. That is why consumer awareness is an important thing to supports the learning of consumer behavior. This study expects to give useful information regarding consumer awareness toward green products so that, the green marketer can increase or even innovate their strategies in green marketing. To achieve these objectives the researcher got information from 15 informants using qualitative study which is an in-depth interview. Meanwhile, in-depth interview is used to collect the data among the respondents which are Manado citizens as environmentally friendly products’ consumers. The results showed consumers in Manado are still lacking of environmentally friendly products awareness. Proven by their behavior which shows the infrequently usage of environmentally friendly products. This study suggested that better-educated consumers should understand environmental issues and giving more effort to concern about the environment. As well as involved and motivated to participate in environmentally responsible behaviors, especially in using and aware of environmentally friendly products. Keywords: environmentally friendly product, consumer awareness, green marketing

Abstract

Inventory is very important for the survival of the company, the company must be able to estimate the amount of inventory it has. This study aims to determine the analysis of the application of drug inventory accounting based on PSAK No.14 at PT. Cempaka Indah Murni Manado engaged in the distribution of medicines. The analytical method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method then the conclusion of the recording method applied in recording merchandise inventory is a computerized perpetual method, while the inventory valuation method uses the FIFO (First In First Out) method. The company does not recognize the purchase costs and conversion costs, the company only recognizes other costs such as shipping costs / shipping costs, incoming transfers, and sales costs because the products sold at PT. Cempaka Indah Murni Manado was sent from the head office in Surabaya. The results showed that the application of accounting for drug supplies was carried out. PT. Cempaka Indah Murni Manado is not in accordance with PSAK No. 14.

Abstract

Abstract : Herbalife Nutrition through the distributors provided a Nutrition Club that they called a place for breakfast and work out. In Manado, there lots of nutrition Club that has been operated since two years ago. The existence of this club indicates repurchase intention of this particular brand. The object of this study is to define the factors that drive customer intention to purchase Herbalife Shake products in Manado.  This research is categorized an associative study and used quantitative method which utilizes confirmatory factor analysis as the tool of analysis. This study obtains primary data and sample is collected from Herbalife Nutrition Club members in Manado. The research results show that Customer Engagement factor, Product quality, Reference group, reliability, promotional, product packaging, tangibility, individual and psychological factor are the contributing factor in affecting the repurchase intention.Keywords : repurchase intention, customer engagement, product quality, reference group, reliability, promotional, product packaging, tangibility, individual, psychological factors.
