Abstract

Improving teacher innovation is a strategic effort to enhance the quality of education in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the factors influencing teacher innovation through a combination of exploratory and quantitative approaches. Five key variables were identified: organizational climate, spirit of cooperation, work motivation, transformational leadership, and digital technology literacy. A total of 180 foundation permanent teachers (GTY) from 20 private high schools in Bekasi Regency participated by completing questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and the Scientific Identification Theory for Operational Research in Education Management (SITOREM) method. The PLS-SEM results indicate a strong model fit with an R² of 0.767, predictive relevance (Q²) values above 0, Normed Fit Index (NFI) of 0.866, SRMR of 0.061, and better predictive accuracy than linear regression models. SITOREM analysis prioritized strategic improvements in teacher innovation, focusing on enhancing task responsibility, resource support, digital literacy, instructional media development, and scientific output. The findings contribute to targeted strategies for fostering teacher innovation and optimizing educational outcomes.

This study was conducted among 135 private high school teachers in Depok City, selected using multistage random sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using path analysis in SPSS 25.0. The results showed that all variables had a positive and significant Influence. Specifically, authentic leadership had a direct Influence on organizational commitment (β_y1 = 0,258) and on trust (β_31 = 0,223). Integrity also had a direct iInfluenceon organizational commitment (β_y2 = 0,213) and on trust (β_32 = 0,274). Furthermore, trust has been shown to mediate the relationship between authentic leadership and integrity and teachers’ organizational commitment. These findings confirm that increasing teacher loyalty and emotional attachment can be achieved sustainably through developing honest leadership, strengthening moral values, and building a work climate based on mutual trust.

This research employed a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods using SEM-PLS and SITOREM analysis. The study sample consisted of 160 teachers from 15 schools located in 5 sub-districts within East Jakarta Region 2. The research instruments included five tools: four questionnaires and one test instrument for assessing pedagogical competence. The results of the study revealed significant direct effects, with six hypotheses accepted and one rejected. Regarding indirect effects, two hypotheses were accepted and one was rejected. Through SITOREM analysis, 15 indicators were identified as needing improvement, prioritized by urgency, while 9 indicators were recommended to be maintained or further developed
