Abstract

Indonesia, as a multicultural country, faces a variety of differences that lead to conflicts such as violence, oppression, and identity crisis. Plurality, which is a source of national strength, can at any time turn into a trigger for conflict if there is no understanding, tolerance and mutual understanding in addressing differences. Even in one class there are various kinds of differences and the classroom teacher is an important control holder in managing gender diversity, social status, ethnicity, and even intelligence diversity in the classroom. This study aims to understand multicultural-based classroom management strategies at the early childhood education level. Using a descriptive qualitative approach as a method of research. The place where the research was conducted was in one of the PAUD foundations named Nur Miyazaki Islamic Character School Kindergarten. Researchers made observations and conducted interviews with the Principal and class B teachers as data sources. Through the results of the study, it can be seen that the teacher's strategy of managing gender diversity, social status diversity, ethnic diversity, and social status diversity in the classroom is effective in developing the character of caring, sharing, tolerance, responsibility, and willingness to cooperate with one child with another. Although sometimes children respond with resistance to the new habit, the teachers successfully manage the children's emotions well.

Abstract

Based on the search conducted, there are 12 children whose vocabulary mastery has not developed optimally, it can be seen when the teacher asks about color problems. Children do not understand the essence of the questions given, for example when children are asked questions about the color of roses there are children who answer red, white, yellow and there are children who do not answer at all. This study aims to see the effect of audiovisual media through animated videos to improve vocabulary in kindergarten Pusat Padu Lino Tanah Towa Kajang Bulukumba Regency. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental type. The population was 19 children in the kindergarten of Pusat Padu Lino Tanah Towa Kajang Bulukumba Regency. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The research sample was 12 children, namely 6 children in the control group and 6 children in the experimental group. Descriptive data analysis technique and non-parametric statistical analysis, namely the Wilcoxon sign rank test. The results showed that the experimental group experienced an average increase of 24.67 and the control group of 21.00. The significant value can be seen in the experimental group test results, namely (2-tailed), 0.027 <0.05, namely H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of audio-visual media using animated videos can provide an increase in children's vocabulary at TK Pusat Padu Lino Tanah Towa Kajang Bulukumba Regency.

Abstract

Based on initial observations made by researchers in October 2022 at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Cakke, there were 12 children, consisting of 7 girls and 5 boys. It can be seen that the child's fine motor skills are still low. The low fine motor skills of children include being unable to move their fingers, such as in cutting and pasting activities children still cannot hold scissors and stick neatly. Lack of eye coordination with hands, children focus less on cutting and pasting activities. And less able to coordinate fingers flexibly when holding objects such as in cutting and pasting activities. It is known that the purpose of this research is to see the effects/impacts of mosaic activities carried out with origami paper. The method used is known to be a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The research findings lead us to the conclusion that the fine motor skills/skills in the experimental group were superior to the control group when they participated in the Mosaic activity involving origami paper and green bean seeds. The experimental group experienced an average increase of 20.66 percent, while the control group experienced a 1.5 percent decrease, according to an analysis of the data. Significant value can be seen in the test results. 2-tailed 0.026 0.05 , H1 is accepted while HO is not accepted. So it can be concluded that Aisyayiah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten children from group B Cakke's fine motor skills were significantly influenced by mosaic activities involving borigami paper and green bean seeds.

Abstract

This training program aims to enhance the competency of kindergarten teachers in teaching English to young learners in Rappocini District, Makassar City. The training combines theoretical and practical approaches, including simulations, workshops, and relevant material development. The focus is on interactive teaching by using songs, stories, games, and crafts to create a fun learning environment for children. Through phases of preparation, theoretical instruction, practice, and evaluation, participants are provided opportunities to refine their teaching skills and confidence in delivering English lessons. Results indicate that teachers improved their creativity and variety in lesson planning, which is expected to positively impact the quality of English education at the early childhood level and establish a replicable training model for other regions.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research used to determine the application of positive early childhood  discipline as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in its application. Data collection was carried out by observation and interview methods. The application of positive discipline in question includes the stages of application that are carried out technically and the application of positive discipline in essence, namely the application of the 7 principles of positive discipline. The results of the study show that the application of positive discipline is carried out through 3 stages, namely the socialization stage, the preparation stage and the implementation stage. The application was carried out in 10 study groups. The application is also applied by paying attention to the 7 principles of positive discipline which are the essence of positive discipline itself.  The factors that support the implementation of positive discipline are the readiness of educators to continue learning, the adaptive attitude of educators, the superior personality competencies possessed by educators, adequate school facilities, the ideal number of students in each class, and the Special Curriculum owned by the Institution. The factors that hinder the implementation are that educators' understanding of the implementation of positive discipline has not been comprehensive, the role of schools in the implementation of discipline has not been carried out comprehensively, and there has been no evaluation of the results of the implementation of positive discipline.

Abstract

This study examines the implications of motoric physical learning in the Covid 19 pandemic era in the education services of PAUD Melati Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Makassar State University. The purpose of this study was to determine the impatience of gross motoric physical learning in the Covid 19 pandemic era. The approach used in this study was a qualitative research approach with qualitative descriptive research. The object of the study involved 24 teachers and principals and students in the 5-6 years service age group. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research on the implementation of gross motoric physical learning in the Covid 19 pandemic era carried out physical motor learning by using rhythmic gymnastics which was done once a week. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang implematasi pembelajaran fisik motorik di era pandemi covid 19 pada layanan pendidikan PAUD Melati Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Universitas Negeri Makassar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui impematasi pembelajaran fisik motorik kasar di era pandemi Covid 19. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian melibatkan guru dan kepala dan peserta didik sebanyak 24 orang pada kelompok usia layanan 5-6 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dari implematasi pembelajaran fisik motorik kasar di era pandemi covid 19 melaksanakan pembelajaran fisik motorik adalah dengan menggunaan senam irama yang dilakukan sekali dalam sepekan.

Abstract

The presence of Gadgets has become an integral part of everyday life, including in the Early Childhood environment. In this modern era, children are exposed to technology that is made to facilitate human life in this increasingly advanced era. They are often exposed to a variety of multimedia content, which can affect their language, understanding and the way they communicate. The essence of education is actually given from an early age to help the development of children. A child's ability to recognize themselves and their surroundings as well as increased awareness related to their physical growth is called child development. Language development is one of the many developments that young children experience. Parents, educators and researchers are very concerned about the influence of devices on children's language development. However, there are doubts about whether the use of devices can affect children's language ability. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of gadgets on the language development of children aged 3-6 years in Makassar City, The type of research used was quantitative. The research instrument used a questionnaire "The Effect of Gadgets" and "Language Development of Three to Six Year Old Children". The scale used to measure is Likert Scale The data analysis technique used is simple regression technique and data analysis using SPSS 26 for Windows. Based on the results of our quantitative data analysis conducted in Makassar city, 70% of children who use gadgets in Makassar city but it does not interfere with children's language development.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research that aims to determine the implementation of inclusive education in early childhood kindergartens. The subjects in this study are school principals, educators and students. The research procedure is carried out through the pre-field stage, the field work stage, and the data analysis stage. The data collection technique uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. The technique of checking the validity of the data uses triangulation. The data from the research results provide an overview of the Implementation of Inclusive Education in Early Childhood Kindergarten, starting with the identification of ABK through screening activities, classification, learning planning and monitoring of learning progress through MPLS activities. Preparation of assessments of cognitive, language and communication, motor, and perception development. Develop an individualized learning program by assessing the strengths, weaknesses, interests and needs of children from various aspects of development, developing long-term goals and short-term goals, designing methods and procedures for achieving goals and determining evaluation methods. Teachers implement an inclusive PAUD curriculum in their learning activities in the classroom using simplified learning materials, an equal teaching and learning process, adequate infrastructure and a safe, comfortable and child-friendly learning environment.

Abstract

Kemampuan motorik adalah hal penting yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari perkembangan seorang anak. Salah satu strategi yang efektif untuk menstimulasi peningkatan kemampuan motorik kasar anak adalah melalui pelaksanaan senam irama. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh senam irama terhadap kemampuan motorik kasar anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Alif Mattoanging. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara probability sampling (pengambilan sampel dengan peluang sama), yaitu dengan memilih sampel dengan peluang sama, karena populasi memiliki karakteristik yang sama dilihat dari segi usia yaitu usia 5-6 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan melakukan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dengan statistik deskriptif dan analisis non-parametrik. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Sign-rank. Hasil analisis data diperoleh Asymp (2-tailed) = 0,027 < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak, artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari senam irama terhadap perkembangan motorik kasar anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di RA Alif Mattoanging.

Abstract

This research aims to 1) find out the description of the reading abilities of group B children in village and urban kindergartens 2) find out the application of the Scrabble game to the development of reading abilities of group B children in village kindergartens and urban kindergartens 3) find out the influence of the Scrabble game on the development of group B children's reading abilities B in Village Kindergarten and Urban Kindergarten. The research design uses a true experiment. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, tests and documentation. The subjects in this research were 10 kindergarteners in the village and 10 kindergarteners in the city. The research results show that there is a significant influence in providing Scrabble games on improving the reading ability of children aged 5-6 years, kindergartens in villages and kindergartens in cities. In Kindergartens in Cities and Rural Areas With results showing that Based on the results of the Friedman test, p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it is concluded that there is a statistically significant increase between reading ability scores students before and after treatment 1, 2 and 3 using the Scrabble game.
