Abstract

The objective of study was to analyze and describe about the application of role play activity for developing of children self concept. This research was carried out at TK Labschool STAI Bani Saleh for student 5-6 years old in group B. This self concept is needed for early chilhood in order to have understanding about them self. The method employed in this research was Action Research which developed by Kemmis and Taggart. This research action consist of two cycles, every cycle has 4 time action. For every cycle consist of planning, action, monitoring and reflection. The subject of this research were the kindergarten students of group B strawberry class were eleven students. at TK Labschool STAI Bani Saleh. The analysis of data in this research employed by quantitative data and qualitative data. The quantitative data analysis obtained there was a development enhanchment of self concept student from pra intervensi up to second cycle, about 25.5 %. This result was exceeded of the agreement between researcher and collaborator as big as 20%. Depend on that enhancment percentage, the action hypotheses can be accepted. For the analysis qualitative data was employed by analysts interactik model of Miles and Hiberman by the steps: 1. reduction, 2. display. 3. verification by data analyzing from the observasion script, documentation script and interview script during the research. Result of this research show that role play activity was succeeded to develop self concept/br student in group B at T K Labschool STAI Bani Saleh.

Abstract

The fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at the Aisyah Cempaka Sukamaju Jonggol PAUD have not developed as they should, so there needs to be a stimulus to develop these fine motor skills. This study aims to obtain empirical data regarding the significant effect of folding origami activities on the fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Aisyah Cempaka Sukamaju Jonggol. The research method used in this thesis is a quantitative research method with an experimental type. The experimental method is a research method to look for the effect of certain treatments on others under controlled conditions. The methodology in this study uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods using the Ramdomized Posttest-Only Control Design model. Experiments that use a control group and subjects will be selected randomly or randomly and observed once (post-test). Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through observation and documentation. Based on the results of data collection, it can be concluded that the level of fine motor development of children who were given the treatment of folding origami activities was higher compared to the group of children who were not given the treatment of folding origami activities. This is evidenced by the average post-test result between the experimental group of 51.00 which is higher than the control group of 35.71, with a significant difference of 15.286. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant effect of folding origami activities on the fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Aisyah Cempaka Sukamaju Jonggol.

Abstract

The fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al Muhajirin Bekasi have not developed properly, so there needs to be an effort to develop these fine motor skills. This study aims to obtain empirical data regarding the significant effect of playing finger painting on the fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al Muhajirin Bekasi. The research method used in this thesis is a quantitative research method of experimental type. The experimental method is a research method to find the effect of certain treatments on others under controlled conditions. The research design used a true experimental design with a posttest-only control design technique. Posttest-only control design is an experimental research design in which two groups are selected randomly, the first group is given treatment and the other group is not given treatment. The data collection method used an observation sheet in the form of a checklist that measures the fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years. The results of the post-test data analysis showed that the level of fine motor development of children treated with finger painting was higher (42.75) than the group of children who were not treated with finger painting (35.08). The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test which compares the average post-test scores obtained tcount = 5.110 and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000, with ttable = 2.22. Because the value of tcount is greater than ttable and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is less than 0.05, then "Ha is accepted". The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant effect of playing finger painting on the fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al Muhajirin Bekasi.

Abstract

This study aims for improve the social skills of children aged 4-5 years through a game of hide and seek in Aisyah Early Childhood Education, Bogor, which will be held in October 2021. The method used in this research is action research which is carried out through two cycles. The cycle consists of planning, action, observation, reflection. The research subjects were seven children of group A in Aisyah Early Childhood Education aged 4-5 years who had problems in social skills. Research data were collected using observations in the form of observation guidelines and field notes, documentation, photos of activities, and interviews. Data were analyzed using a minimum percentage of 71% cycle. The results of data analysis showed that the score of social skills in cycle 2 was declared successful. Based on these results it was determined that the game of hide and seek can improve the social skills between 4-5 years old. The implication of this research is that playing the game of hide and seek can be used as an alternative learning method to improve the social skills of children aged 4-5 years. Thus, it is hoped that early childhood researchers can use the hide-and-seek method in improving children's social skills optimally.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is how to improve early reading skills through the use of word cards for group B students at Puri Hasana Kindergarten Perumnas 1 Kranji, West Bekasi. This study aims to determine the increase in the initial reading ability of students in group B at Puri Hasana Kindergarten Perumnas 1 Kranji West Bekasi after using word card media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which consists of two cycles, each cycle is carried out in two meetings. The research procedure includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were Group B TK Puri Hasana Perumnas 1 Kranji West Bekasi as many as 10 people. The results of this study can be concluded that the reading ability of children in group B TK Puri Hasna Perumnas 1 Kranji West Bekasi can be improved through word card activities. The increase in children's reading ability can be seen from the average reading observation results of pre-action children, which is 41.4%, in the first cycle it reaches 59.1% in the second cycle it reaches 84.3%. So the percentage of 84.3% has reached the achievement target with the Very Good Developing criteria (BSB). Based on the results of the research above, it was concluded that there was an increase in the initial reading ability of group B students at Puri Hasana Kindergarten Perumnas 1 Kranji West Bekasi after using word cards as media.

Abstract

Early childhood is different, unique and has its own characteristics according to the age stage. Every child has the ability, one of which is language ability. Language skills that are very influential are listening skills. This is because listening skills require high concentration to understand a statement conveyed orally or in writing. This study discusses how the ability to listen to children aged 4-5 years at SPS Humus East Bekasi and the effect of storytelling activities with hand puppets on children's listening skills at SPS Humus, which this study only uses 1 group, namely the 4-5 year old group or group A. The method used is quasi experimental research with the design form of nonequivalent control group design and purposive sampling technique.  Purposive sampling is where the researcher takes a sample group in accordance with predetermined criteria and in this study, namely children with poor listening skills. This study includes primary sources, namely researchers conducting field observations and processing the results of instruments that have been observed to children, while for secondary data researchers are assisted by several reference books and journals related to listening skills and storytelling activities with hand puppets. Calculation of research data is carried out through a prerequisite test with a normality test using the Liliefors test, and a homogeneity test using the F test.   ABSTRAK Anak usia dini merupakan individu yang berbeda, unik dan memiliki  karakteristik tersendiri sesuai dengan tahapan usianya. Setiap anak memiliki kemampuan salah satunya adalah kemampuan berbahasa. Kemampuan berbahasa yang sangat berpengaruh adalah kemampuan menyimak. Hal ini dikarenakan kemampuan menyimak membutuhkan konsentrasi yang tinggi untuk memahami suatu pernyataan yang disampaikan secara lisan maupun tulisan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana kemampuan menyimak anak usia 4-5 tahun di SPS Humus Bekasi Timur dan pengaruh kegiatan bercerita dengan hand puppet terhadap kemampuan menyimak anak di SPS Humus, yang mana penelitian ini hanya memakai 1 kelompok yaitu kelompok anak usia 4-5 tahun atau kelompok A. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental research dengan bentuk desain nonequivalent control group design dan teknik purposive sampling.  Purposive sampling  adalah dimana peneliti mengambil kelompok sampel yang sesuai dengan kriteria-kriteria yang sudah ditentukan dan dalam penelitian ini yaitu anak dengan kemampuan menyimak yang masih kurang. Dalam penelitian ini mencakup sumber primer, yaitu peneliti melakukan observasi lapangan dan mengolah hasil instrumen yang sudah diamati kepada anak, sedangkan untuk data sekunder peneliti dibantu beberapa referensi buku-buku dan jurnal-jurnal yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan menyimak maupun kegiatan bercerita dengan hand puppet. Perhitungan data penelitian dilakukan melalui uji prasyarat dengan uji normalitas menggunakan  uji liliefors, dan uji homogenitas menggunakan uji F. Abstract

ABSTRACT Cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al Hidayah have not developed properly, so there needs to be efforts to develop cognitive abilities. This study aims to obtain empirical data regarding the effect of science experiment activities on the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al Hidayah Bekasi. The research method used is a quantitative method of experimental type. The research design used a true experimental design with a posttest-only control design technique. The posttest-only control design is an experimental research design in which two groups are selected randomly, the first group being treated and the other group not being given any treatment. The data collection method used an observation sheet in the form of a checklist that measures the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years. The results of the post-test data analysis showed that the level of cognitive development of children who were treated with science experiment activities was higher than the group of children who were not treated with science experiment activities. This is evidenced by the average value of the post test results between the experimental group of 45.33 which is higher than the control group of 39.86, with a significant difference of 5.46. The results of hypothesis testing using a t-test that compares the average post-test score between the experimental group and the control group obtained the value of tcount = 2.610 and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.014, with ttable = 2.16. Because the value of tcount is greater than ttable and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is less than 0.05, then "Ha is accepted". The conclusion of the study is that there is a positive and significant effect of science experiment activities on the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al Hidayah. ABSTRAK Kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al Hidayah belum berkembang sebagaimana mestinya, sehingga perlu ada upaya untuk mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data empirisi mengenai pengaruh kegiatan percobaan sains terhadap kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al Hidayah Bekasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif jenis eksperimen. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian sebenarnya (true experimental design) dengan teknik posttest-only control design. Posttest-only control design adalah desain penelitian eksperimen dengan terdapat dua kelompok yang dipilih secara random, kelompok pertama diberi perlakuan dan kelompok yang lain tidak diberikan perlakuan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi berupa ceklis yang mengukur kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun. Hasil penelitian analisis data post test diketahui tingkat perkembangan kognitif anak yang diberi perlakuan kegiatan percobaan sains lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok anak yang tidak diberi perlakuan kegiatan percobaan sains. Hal ini terbukti dengan nilai rata-rata hasil post test antara kelompok eksperimen sebesar 45,33 yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 39,86, dengan perbedaan yang cukup signifikan sebesar 5,46. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t yang membandingkan skor rata-rata post test antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol diperoleh nilai thitung = 2,610 dan Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,014, dengan ttabel = 2,16. Karena nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel dan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka ”Ha diterima”. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan kegiatan percobaan sains terhadap kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al Hidayah.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education is a crucial first step for children in their social development. Social skills play a vital role in early childhood learning as children learn to navigate new environments, adapt to new people, and prepare themselves for future schooling. Early Childhood Education provides a foundation for children to develop the necessary skills and readiness to progress to the next level of education. This study focuses on the social skills of children aged 5-6 years at Al-Ma'aarij Kindergarten in East Bekasi. It examines the impact of traditional games on the social skills of children in the 5-6 year old group (Group B). The study only involves one group, which is the 5-6 year old group. The research method used in this study is quantitative experimentation, with the purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling is where the researcher chooses a sample group based on predetermined criteria. In this study, the sample group consisted of children with insufficient social skills. The primary sources of data were the researchers' field observations and the results of instruments used to observe children. The secondary data were obtained from reference books and journals related to social skills and traditional games. To calculate the research data, the researchers conducted a normality test using the Liliefors test and a homogeneity test using the F test.
