Abstract

Diarrhea is the second disease that causes death in infants (children) under five years). Data and Information Indonesia Health Profile 2016, the number of diarrhea cases in Indonesia is 2,544,084 people or equivalent to 36.9% of the total incidence of diarrhea in 2016. South Central Timor District is the second area with the largest frequency distribution of outbreaks in Indonesia after Central Sulawesi (Depkes, 2011). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of PHBS households to diarrhea incidence in Southern Timor in 2016. The type of research used was observational analytic research with cross sectional study approach. The sample in this research was taken using simple random sampling technique with sample size 29 health centers. There is influence of variable percentage of PHBS households to diarrhea incidence in Southern Timor District. Nila R equal to 0,423 means closeness relation between independent variable with dependent variable is equal to 0423 (medium). Diarrhea rate was formulated with 23,884 minus multiplication of 0.174 with percentage of household with PHBS. The need for improved services outside the health center building for the discovery of diarrhea cases and the need for promotive and preventive efforts against the growing factors of diarrhea occurrence in South Central Timor District. Keywords: PHBS, Households, Diarrhea

Abstract

Geographically Weighted Logistic Regression (GWLR) was regression model consider the spatial factor, which could be used to analyze the IMR. The number of Infant Mortality as big as 100 cases in 2015 or 12 per 1000 live birth in South Central Timor Regency. The aim of this study was to determine the best modeling of GWLR with fixed weighting function and Adaptive Gaussian Kernel in the case of infant mortality in South Central Timor District in 2015. The response variable (Y) in this study was a case of infant mortality, while variable predictor was the percentage of neonatal first visit (KN1) (X1), the percentage of neonatal visit 3 times (Complete KN) (X2), the percentage of pregnant get Fe tablet (X3), percentage of poor families pre prosperous (X4). This was a non-reactive study, which is a measurement which individuals surveyed did not realize that they are part of a study, with analysis unit in 32 sub-districts of South Central Timor Districts. Data analysis used open source program that was Excel, R program, Quantum GIS and GWR4. The best GWLR spatial modeling with Adaptive Gaussian Kernel weighting function, a global model parameters GWLR Adaptive Gaussian Kernel weighting function obtained by g (x) = 0.941086 - 0,892506X4, GWLR local models with adaptive Kernel bisquare weighting function in the 13 Districts were obtained g(x) = 𝛽0 − 𝛽0X4, factors that affect the cases of infant mortality in 13 sub-districts of South Central Timor Regency in 2015 was the percentage of poor families pre prosperous.

Abstract

Onset of lactation is one of indicators of lactogenesis stage II which is the important phase in infants breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is important as it gives many health benefits for both mother and babies. The early initiation of breastfeeding is not always going smooth as sometimes mothers or babies experience various difficulties that complicate the lactation process, especially in primipara women with less knowledge of lactation. Those obstacles and difficulties will influence the practice of breastfeeding which may lead to delay onset of lactation. Thus, this study was conducted to identify the onset of lactation and analyze parity factor on postpartum mothers in DKT hospital in Gubeng Pojok, Surabaya, East Java. It was an observational analytic study with prospective cohort design. 50 respondents were randomly selected using systematic random sampling. Regression logistic showed a correlation between parity and onset of lactation (p = 0.024; RR = 7.277), in which primipara mothers were 7.277 times more likely to have delay onset of laction than multipara mothers. It was concluded that maternal parity associated with onset of lactation on postpartum mothers.
