Abstract

Maize (Zea mays L.) is a very sensitive crop plant towards fertilization. Sufficient macro and micronutrients in the soil must be available during the maizes growth phase. Providing nutrients for maizes can be done by adding organic or inorganic fertilizers. The aim of this research is to determine the effects of interactions from maize waste composts and NPK fertilizers on the morphophysiological characters of maizes in ultisol soil. The research method used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 factorials, the dose of maize waste composts (K) and the dose of NPK fertilizers (P). The result showed that the factor K treatment is significantly affected the growth and the yield components of maizes. The level k2 treatment (20 tons ha-1 of maize waste composts) generally gave the highest mean for maize cobs length and diameter, seeds per maize cob and per plot. Key Words: yield, maize, compost, morphophysiology, ultisol.

Abstract

Overcoming food problems, it is necessary to have a break through to increase the productivity of rice plants by utilizing the available paddy fields through emphasizing the application of technological innovations in the Integrated Crop Management approach. In the application of technological innovation, the Integrated Crop Management approach is not only carried out using varieties but must be followed by correct cultivation techniques following the recommendations for the application of technology. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) method with the results of the age of 15 DAS had a very significant effect on the treatment of varieties, while the age of 35.45 DAS and the increase in tillers aged 25 DAS had an interaction. Thus, the number of perforated seeds did not have a significant effect on the growth and yield of rice plants. Keywords: Variety, Number of Seeds, Rice

Abstract

Rice production technology that needs to be studied, in this study is water table regulation and amino acid administration. The study was conducted in Singkawang using a Complete Randomized Design.  Two-factor factorial. The first factor regulates the height of the water table +5 cm, 0 cm, -10 cm, -20 cm. The second factor is administration without amino acids, synthetic amino acids 500 ppm, amino acids gold snails 500 ppm and 1000 ppm. The interaction of the two factors occurred in the variables of the number of productive saplings at the age of 42 hst, root volume and stem rigidity. The combination of water level treatment of -10 cm and the application of 500 ppm golden snail amino acids is the best with the number of saplings 38, the volume of roots as much as 50 ml and the rigidity of the stem in the category is rather strongKeywords: gold snail, productive tiller, inundation, stem rigidity, synthetic amino acids

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengaplikasian amelioran dan pemilihan varietas adaptif merupakan strategi penting dalam meningkatkan produktivitas padi pada lahan sawah tadah hujan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh amelioran dan varietas padi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pada lahan sawah tadah hujan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat, pada periode Desember 2023 hingga April 2024, menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah jenis amelioran (jerami padi, kompos gulma, dan kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit), dan faktor kedua adalah varietas padi (Argo Pawan, Inpari IR Nutrizinc, Inpari 32, Mekongga, dan Sertani). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kompos gulma dan kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit menghasilkan pertumbuhan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kontrol (jerami padi cacah segar), yang terlihat pada variabel tinggi tanaman, berat kering tanaman, dan bobot gabah per petak. Varietas Sertani, Argo Pawan, dan Inpari IR Nutrizinc menunjukkan hasil tertinggi untuk pertumbuhan tanaman, sedangkan varietas Inpari 32, Mekongga, Inpari IR Nutrizinc, dan Sertani menghasilkan bobot gabah tertinggi per petak. Kata kunci: amelioran, produktivitas padi, sawah tadah hujan, varietas ABSTRACTThis study explores the role of ameliorants and adaptive varieties in enhancing rice productivity in rainfed lowland areas. The research was conducted in rainfed lowland areas in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, from December 2023 to April 2024,using a factorial randomized block design. The first factor was the type of ameliorant (rice straw, weed compost, and empty palm oil bunch compost), and the second factor was the variety of rice (Argo Pawan, Inpari IR Nutrizinc, Inpari 32, Mekongga, and Sertani). The study indicates that weed compost and empty palm oil bunch compost yield superior growth compared to fresh rice straw, as evidenced by plant height, dry weight, and grain weight per plot. The Sertani, Argo Pawan, and Inpari IR Nutrizinc varieties obtained the highest results for rice plant growth based on the plant height variable, while the highest yield variable was obtained from the Inpari 32, Mekongga, Inpari IR Nutrizinc, and Sertani varieties based on grain weight per plot. Keywords: ameliorant, rice productivity, varieties

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengaplikasian Jakaba dan pupuk NPK dapat memperbaiki kesuburan biologi dan kimia tanah ultisol. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substrat media Jakaba dan pupuk NPK terhadap produktivitas jagung pada tanah ultisol. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat, dari bulan Mei-Agustus 2024. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan split plot. Petak utama substrat media tumbuh Jakaba (tanpa Jakaba, substrat media Jakaba disteril, dan tidak disteril), anak petak dosis NPK (100, 200, 300, 400, dan 500 kg ha-1). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa interaksi Jakaba dan pupuk NPK mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman hingga 150,58 cm, diameter tongkol sebesar 4,83 cm, berat biji pipil sebesar 199,49 g per tongkol, serta berat biji per petak sebesar 2,54 kg. Perlakuan yang baik terhadap tinggi tanaman pada penggunaan Jakaba dengan substrat tidak steril dan NPK 200 kg ha-1. Kombinasi perlakuan yang efektif untuk peningkatan produksi tanaman yakni dengan pemberian Jakaba substrat tidak steril dan NPK 300 kg ha-1. Kata kunci: kesuburan tanah, produktivitas jagung, pupuk hayati, ultisol
