Abstract

This research seeks to provide a comprehensive description and analysis of the strategies employed by school principals in enhancing educational quality within the school setting. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis conducted at a secondary school in Indonesia. The results indicate that the school principal holds a pivotal role in advancing education quality, which is carried out through several strategies, such as reinforcing visionary leadership, enhancing teacher competencies via training and academic supervision, fostering a positive school culture, and strengthening collaboration with parents and the wider community. Moreover, the principal incorporates information technology into both administrative functions and the teaching-learning process. The study concludes that the success of a principal’s strategy largely depends on managerial expertise, effective communication, and the collective support of all school stakeholders. These insights are intended to serve as a valuable reference for policymakers in developing strategic initiatives aimed at sustainable improvement in educational quality

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an in-depth investigation into the influence between the implementation of educational supervision and teachers’ professional performance, as well as its implications for the enhancement of educational quality at SMA Negeri 1 Kuala. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey design, in which structured questionnaires served as the primary data collection instrument. The sample comprised 38 respondents selected from a total population of 38 teachers. Data were gathered through systematically administered questionnaires to obtain empirical insights into teachers' perceptions of existing supervisory practices. In this context, educational supervision functions as a strategic instrument in fostering teachers’ professional competencies through structured guidance, continuous evaluation, and the provision of constructive feedback. The findings indicate a positive and statistically significant relationship between educational supervision and improved teacher performance, as evidenced by increased instructional effectiveness, greater work discipline, and enhanced pedagogical capabilities. This improvement in teacher performance, in turn, contributes to the overall elevation of educational quality, reflected both in students’ academic achievements and in the general academic climate of the school. Accordingly, a systematic, sustainable, and needs-based supervisory framework constitutes a critical determinant in driving quality transformation at the senior secondary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the principal’s strategy in improving the performance of administrative staff to create an effective school administration system. This research employs a qualitative method with descriptive data presentation. The data sources used by the researcher include person, place, and paper. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques applied are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the study indicate that, as a leader, the school principal must have strategies to enhance the performance of administrative staff. The principals strategies serve as the foundation for empowering administrative staff performance so that school administrative activities can run effectively. The strategies implemented by the principal at SMA Negeri 1 Selesai generally include four main aspects: providing motivation, communication, skill training, and guidance. The role of administrative staff in creating an effective and efficient school administration system is carried out through student data management, curriculum management, and maintaining good communication with various parties.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of transformational leadership practices by the principal in improving teacher professionalism at SMK Swasta Budi Utomo Binjai. Teacher professionalism serves as a key component in efforts to enhance the quality of education; therefore, the principal’s leadership plays a crucial role in determining the direction and quality of teachers’ performance. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The research informants consisted of the principal, vice principal, and several teachers selected proportionally to represent the. The findings indicate that the principal implemented transformational leadership strategies through four main dimensions: (1) Idealized Influence, demonstrated by modeling exemplary behavior and decision-making; (2) Inspirational Motivation, shown through the communication of a clear vision and the encouragement of teachers’ work enthusiasm;(3) Intellectual Stimulation, by motivating teachers to think innovatively and critically in the learning process; and (4) Individualized Consideration, by providing attention and support for each teacher’s needs and professional development. The implementation of these strategies has proven effective in enhancing teachers’ commitment, responsibility, and performance quality. In conclusion, the principal’s transformational leadership plays a significant role in fostering and improving teacher professionalism, which ultimately contributes positively to the overall quality of education in the school. Based on the findings, it is recommended that the principal continue to strengthen participatory leadership practices and focus on developing human resource potential within the school environment.

Abstract

This study, titled “Pedagogical Analysis of ChatGPT Use by UIN SU Students in Final Project Preparation,” explores how university students integrate ChatGPT into their academic writing processes. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research investigates the experiences of final-year students at UIN Sumatera Utara who actively employ ChatGPT as a digital learning tool. The findings reveal that ChatGPT functions as a form of digital scaffolding that assists students in overcoming initial writing barriers, conceptualizing research frameworks, and improving academic language. From a pedagogical perspective, the use of ChatGPT aligns with Piaget’s constructivist theory and Vygotsky’s scaffolding concept, emphasizing active knowledge construction supported by temporary cognitive assistance. However, the study also highlights the ethical dimension of AI use in academia, stressing the importance of honesty, responsibility, and academic integrity. When used reflectively and critically, ChatGPT can enhance students’ learning autonomy and critical thinking without diminishing originality. The research concludes that responsible integration of AI in higher education requires balanced pedagogical guidance that fosters both technological literacy and ethical awareness.

Abstract

Transformasi digital telah mengubah paradigma komunikasi dan promosi lembaga pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Pemasaran digital kini menjadi instrumen penting dalam membangun citra institusi, menarik calon mahasiswa, dan memperluas jangkauan informasi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam implementasi pemasaran digital sebagai sarana promosi pendidikan tinggi di STKIP Budidaya Binjai. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap masing-masing mahasiswa program studi yang aktif mempromosikan kampus melalui media sosial seperti Instagram, TikTok, dan YouTube. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa berperan penting sebagai agen promosi digital melalui produksi konten informatif, testimoni, dan video kreatif yang merepresentasikan citra positif lembaga.  Media  sosial  berfungsi  tidak  hanya  sebagai  sarana komunikasi, tetapi juga ruang kolaboratif dalam membentuk brand awareness kampus. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan  strategi  pemasaran  digital  berbasis  partisipasi mahasiswa di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi serta menawarkan kerangka konseptual baru tentang “student-driven digital branding”. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi acuan bagi lembaga pendidikan dalam mengoptimalkan potensi mahasiswa untuk memperkuat posisi kompetitif institusi di era digital.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyaraka (PKM) ini untuk mengedukasi pencegahan Bullying yang menjadi salah satu masalah yang masih sering terjadi di lingkungan sekolah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat sehingga berdampak negatif perkembangan sosial. Kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap dampak bullying sehingga terjadi nya perilaku saling meledek dan kekerasan fisik dan di anggap seperti hal yang wajar, serta menciptakan lingkungan masyarakat dan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dan ramah terhadap peseta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi selama pelaksanaan program Pengabdian. Lokasi kegiatan dilaksanakan di SD NEGERI 055969 gotong Royong, Kecamatan bahorok, Kabupaten Langkat. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kepada siswa mengenai jenis-jenis bullying dan dampaknya, perubahan sikap ke arah yang lebih positif, serta meningkatkan keberanian siswa untuk melapor ketika menemukan tindakan bullying tersebut. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peran mahasiswa pengabdian sangat mendukung upaya pencegahan bullying di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Teori akuntansi sektor publik terus berkembang seiring dengan perubahan kebijakan, aturan, dan kemajuan teknologi. Di era digital, akuntansi sektor publik menghadapi tantangan dan peluang baru, terutama dalam hal transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan efisiensi laporan keuangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana teori akuntansi sektor publik berkembang dari waktu ke waktu, mengidentifikasi faktor yang memengaruhinya, serta mengkaji tantangan di era digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan eksploratif, di mana data diperoleh melalui studi literatur dan wawancara dengan akademisi serta praktisi di bidang ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teori akuntansi sektor publik telah berkembang dari sistem yang hanya berfokus pada kepatuhan menjadi lebih transparan dan berbasis kinerja. Digitalisasi membantu meningkatkan efisiensi pelaporan keuangan, tetapi masih ada hambatan seperti keterbatasan aturan, kesiapan tenaga kerja, dan infrastruktur teknologi yang belum merata. Kesimpulannya, teori akuntansi sektor publik harus terus beradaptasi dengan perubahan zaman, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan digital. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kebijakan yang lebih responsif, investasi dalam teknologi, dan peningkatan keterampilan tenaga kerja agar sistem akuntansi sektor publik dapat berjalan lebih efektif dan akuntabel.

Abstract

Indonesia kaya akan rempah rempah nusantara dimana rempah rempah tersebut sering digunakan sebagai alternative pengobatan tradisional yang memiliki manfaat dan kasiat yang sangat banyak. Sumatra Utara salah satu penghasil rempah terbesar di Indonesia dan terdapat salah satu suku yaitu Suku Karo yang terkenal dengan pengobatan Alernatif yang berbahan dasar rempah rempah nusantara sperti Sembur dan Param Karo. Sembur dan param Karo sangat banyak kasiatnya sebagai alternative pengobatan khususnya Demam dan perut kembung, Kwalitas sembur dan param Karo sangat manjur dan praktis untuk dibawa kemana mana . sembur dan param Karo dapat digunakan oleh anak anak dan orang dewasa, jika kita demam atau masuk angin dan tidak inggin memakan obat yang berbahan dasar kimiawi kita dapat mengkonsumsi sembur yang berbahan dasar rempah rempah nusantara , dan ketika demam kita dapat membalur param Karo disekujur tubuh kita secara berulang-ulang agar suhu tubuh kita normal kembali. Param Karo juga berbahan dasar rempah rempah nusantara yang ada di sekitar kita dan sangat gampang untuk memproleh bahan bahannya.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the principal's role as a supervisor in ensuring the successful implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, which emphasizes independence, creativity, and innovation in the learning process. This study aims to describe in depth the principal's role as an academic supervisor in the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum at Melati Binjai Private Junior High School. The study used a qualitative approach with field research and descriptive methods. Subjects included the principal, vice principals (curriculum, student affairs, and infrastructure), Islamic Education teachers, and several students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The results revealed several specific findings: (1) the principal implemented planned individual and group supervision, primarily through routine coaching, classroom observations, and checking learning administration; (2) the principal acted as a facilitator in encouraging teachers to understand the principles of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, particularly in the development of teaching modules and the implementation of differentiated learning; (3) open communication and a family-like work culture contributed to increased teacher professionalism and the effectiveness of curriculum implementation; (4) Supervision has an impact on increasing teacher readiness in designing innovative and relevant learning that meets student needs. Practically, this study shows that the successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum is highly dependent on the quality of consistent and collaborative supervision by the principal. However, this study is limited by its scope, which only covers one school, so the findings cannot be broadly generalized. Future research is recommended to involve more schools with different characteristics or examine digital supervision models to support the Independent Curriculum.
