Abstract

The objective of this research was knowing whether or not there is a difference between students’ learning outcomes in Mathemathics who used productive-creative learning strategy towards students’ learning outcomes in Mathemathics who used conventional learning model. The sample consited of 2 classes, that is VII H as an experimental class and VII G as a control class. The data was measured by using essay test consisting 5 questions. For testing the hypothesis, t-test is used with testing the normality and homogeinity firstly. The result of hypothesis testing using statistical formula obtained tcal = 3,207 from the total distribution t in the significant level 5% =2,00 and = 1,67, while the result of hypothesis testing based on SPSS programme using T independent Sample Test is tcal = 3.224.

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this study is "Is there any effect of the Treffinger Learning Model using a contextual approach on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X students in the even semester of SMK Persada Bandar Lampung in the 2018/2019 school year?". The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Treffinger Learning Model using a contextual approach on the mathematics learning outcomes of even semester X students of SMK Persada Bandar Lampung in the 2018/2019 school year. In this study the authors used the experimental method. The experimental method is a method that deliberately evokes an event or situation, then how the result. In other words, the experimental method is a method of experimental activity, so that students experience and prove what they have learned for themselves. Based on the data analysis that has been carried out using the formula, it is obtained to test the similarity of two averages by looking at the test criteria for the level of use obtained where the test criteria and are supported by complementary techniques, namely observation techniques on student learning activities, then "There is an Effect of Treffinger's Learning using the Treffinger approach contextual learning outcomes for students of class X SMK Persada Bandar Lampung in the 2018/2019 academic year"

Abstract

Abstract: The learning starts with a questions learning model is one way that stimulates students to ask questions without any explanation of the material from the teacher first. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the learning starts with a questions learning model on students' mathematical communication skills in learning mathematics. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Perintis 1 Bandar Lampung which were divided into 2 classes with a total of 50 students. The sample was taken using total random sampling, which consisted of 2 classes, namely the experimental class VIIIa who learned to apply the learning starts with a questions learning model and the control class VIIIb who learned to use conventional learning. Data collection techniques using test techniques. Data analysis was used using t test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that thit = 5.03, and from the distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it was obtained that tdaf = 2.02. The result reminds that thit thit > tdaf. The results showed that the average experimental class learning outcomes = 81.56 while the control class learning outcomes = 63.68, that thit >tdaf. From the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the learning starts with a questions learning model has a positive effect on the mathematical communication skills of class VIII odd semester students of SMP Perintis 1 Bandar Lampung in the 2020/2021 academic year.

Abstract

The research aims to find out (1) To find out the quality of the 5E Learning Cycle-based mathematics module in terms of the validity of teaching materials. (2) To find out the quality of Learning Cycle 5E-based math modules in terms of the practicality of teaching materials. (3) To determine the effectiveness of the Learning Cycle 5E-based mathematics module in terms of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is a development research using the ADDIE development model. Product validation is carried out by 6 expert lecturers in accordance with their fields. Practicality questionnaire to measure the response of class XI students at SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung in product trials and learning achievement tests to measure the effectiveness of the module as teaching material. Material experts on the aspect of content quality obtain an average score of 3.66 on the aspect of determination of coverage get an average score of 3.75 on the Learning Cycle 5E aspect opinion average value of 3.8 with valid criteria. Media experts in the aspect of paper size in the module obtain an average value of 3.75, in the aspect of module skin design (cover) get an average value of 3.83, in the aspect of module content design get an average value of 3.87 with valid criteria .Linguists in the aspect of sentence structure determination, understanding of messages and straightforwardness get an average score of 4 with valid criteria. The mathematics module based on Learning Cycle 5E in Mathematical Logic material is effective in terms of student learning outcomes in Mathematical Logic material which shows 17 students or 56.67% individually completed out of 30 students with an average of 74.38. Thus the Learning Cycle 5E-based learning module is effective as a teaching material for learning mathematics.

Abstract

The problem studied in this research is related to the less than optimal achievement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the 5E Learning cycle learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII Even Semester students at SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses an experimental method with the population in this research, namely all class VIII students of SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung consisting of 8 classes. Meanwhile, two classes were taken as samples, namely class VIII B as the experimental class which applied the 5E Learning cycle learning model, and class VIII A as the control class which applied the conventional learning model. Samples were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities, the author carried out a test in the form of an essay with five questions whose validity and reliability had first been tested. Hypothesis testing in this study used the t-hit formula and obtained a value of t = 3,10. From the t distribution table at the 5% significance level, it is known that t = 1,67, so , which means that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the 5E Learning cycle learning model is higher than the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the model. conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the problem-solving abilities of students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 10 Bandar Lampung, in learning mathematics using the Reciprocal Teaching learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This action is carried out in 2 cycles where each cycle consists of 4 meetings. At each cycle, students are given a final cycle test to measure their problem solving abilities. Data analysis techniques in this research are descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The results showed that learning mathematics using the Reciprocal Teaching learning model can improve problem solving skills. This is indicated by an increase in the average value of the first cycle test of 57.40, while the second cycle test of 73.80. The average percentage of problem solving aspects in cycles I and II are as follows: (a) the ability to understand the problem increases from 50% to 75%, (b) the ability to plan problem solving increases from 62% to 77%, (c) the ability to carry out the plan increased from 59% to 70%, and (d) the ability to interpret the results obtained increased from 61% to 73%.

Abstract

The Corona outbreak has made everything change routine, including in terms of education. In the past, learning in universities was carried out face-to-face, but now learning must be carried out online. The purpose of this study was to find out how much effective online learning was during the COVID-19 pandemic for students. This study uses an exploratory descriptive approach in the scope of qualitative research. The research subjects were active students of the mathematics education study program STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung semester 2 and 4 of the 2020/2021 academic year. The research data was obtained by using a questionnaire in the form of a google form which was filled in by the 2 and 4 semester students via a smartphone or laptop. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively, starting with grouping based on the category of responses, then describing the different responses from students. This study found obstacles in the online learning process, namely students' economic problems that could affect the ownership of mobile phones as the main support for online learning, constraints on internet packages or wifi networks, and poor networks in the student environment. The results of the research can be concluded that online learning is not effective.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and improve students' critical thinking skills using Problem Based Learning with Lesson Study in the Descriptive Statistics course Indonesian Language Education Study Program STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. The method used is classroom action research, through lesson study which is carried out in three stages, namely, planning (Plane), implementation (Do) and reflection (See). Through improving students' critical thinking skills using Problem Based Learning with Lesson Study, it is expected to be able to explore and make students to be able to think critically and be more creative in ongoing learning. This can affect the value of students' critical thinking skills, in the first cycle an average of 63.5% is in the "enough" category, while in the second cycle an average of 88% is in the "good" category. This shows an increase in critical thinking skills in the second cycle, by 24.5%%, before being carried out. Thus it can be concluded that the PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model is able to improve students' critical thinking skills in the Descriptive Statistics course Indonesian Language Education study program. STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the problem-solving abilities of junior high school students on similarity material with the Problem Solving learning model. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were 27 children. Samples of class students at SMP Negeri 45 Bandar Lampung. The method used to collect data is to use written worksheets with mathematical problem solving skills on congruence material. The results showed that the mathematical problem solving abilities of class IX students of SMP Negeri 45 Bandar Lampung were already high. Judging from the presentation, it was stated that students were able to identify known elements, apply strategies and develop mathematical models. Overall, students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, especially in congruence material, are in high qualification, although there are some students who are still in low qualification.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effectiveness of the TTW (Think Talk Write) learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of SD Negeri 2 Penengahan Bandar Lampung students. This research is an experimental research. The study population consisted of all students of class SD Negeri 2 Penengahan Bandar Lampung consisting of 5 classes with a total of 120 students, while 2 classes were taken as samples, namely class V A as the experimental class which consisted of 32 students, and class V C as the control class which consisted of 30 students. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Students' mathematical problem solving abilities were measured by a test in the form of an essay of 5 questions which had previously been tested for validity and reliability. From the results of testing the hypothesis using the statistical formula t-test, the value of thit = 2.15 was obtained. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is known that tdaf=1.67 means thit>tdaf, namely 2.15>1.68, so it can be concluded that "TTW (Think Talk Write) Learning Model is Effective for the mathematical problem solving abilities of SD Negeri 2 Penengahan students Bandar Lampung. This situation can also be seen from the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities where the experimental class has an average value of 78.94 higher than the control class has an average value of 60.69
