The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with research instruments in the form of questionnaires. The research was conducted from October to November 2024 in the Maternity Room of Tabanan Hospital. The median of the pretest maternal anxiety level was 13. The median of posttest maternal anxiety level was 7. The data normality test used Kolmogorov-Smirnov, and the data was not normally distributed, then it was continued with a non-parametric statistical test, namely the Wilcoxon test with a nilaai p = 0.000. The conclusion is there is a significant difference between the level of anxiety before and after counter pressure massage in preoperative mothers of Caesarean Section in the Maternity Room of Tabanan Hospital.

Abstract

Contraception is an essential method for pregnancy regulation and family planning; however, its use may cause side effects that affect user comfort and adherence. This study aimed to describe the side effects of contraceptive use among family planning acceptors at Independent Midwife Practice (IMP) of Iis Hilda Zicria. A quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional design was conducted from April 15 to May 8, 2025, involving 40 respondents. The results showed that 62.5% of respondents used hormonal contraceptives, predominantly injectable methods (40%), followed by oral pills (12.5%) and implants (10%). Meanwhile, 37.5% used non-hormonal contraceptives, including condoms (27.5%) and intrauterine devices (10%). Among hormonal contraceptive users, the most frequently reported side effects were weight changes (84%) and menstrual disturbances (76%). In contrast, non-hormonal contraceptive users most commonly reported changes in libido (60%), while abnormal vaginal discharge was reported only among IUD users (26.67%). Overall, non-hormonal contraceptive users experienced fewer and milder side effects compared to those using hormonal contraceptives. Healthcare providers are expected to enhance education and counseling for prospective family planning acceptors regarding the various side effects that may occur as a result of using both hormonal and non-hormonal contraceptives.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The first trimester antenatal visit is the first contact with health personnel or having received first pregnancy services in health services according to 10T standards. Factors that influence mothers to make K1 visits include parity, age, knowledge, attitudes, economics, socio-culture, geography, information and support. The results of a preliminary study conducted on 10 pregnant women showed that seven pregnant women (70%) did not know about the importance of antenatal visits in the first trimester and five pregnant women (50%) did not receive full support from their husbands to carry out antenatal visits. The aim of this research was to analyze the relationship between husband's support and knowledge of pregnant women with antenatal visits (K1 standard) at the Sidemen Health Center UPTD. This research is correlative analytical research using a cross-sectional study approach. The implementation of this research will start from February-April 2024 using a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 51 respondents and data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis used univariate in the form of a frequency distribution and bivariate using the Contingency Coefficient test with a significance level of p0.05. The results of the research show that there is a significant relationship between husband's support and antenatal visits (K1 standard) with a value of p = 0.001 and there is a significant relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and antenatal visits (K1 standard) where the value of p = 0.000. Abstract

Abstract

Contraceptive services play an important role in preventing pregnancy and reducing maternal mortality. One of the effective strategies in family planning programs is the use of Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC), such as intrauterine devices (IUDs), implants, and sterilization, which offer high effectiveness and long-term protection. This study aimed to describe the characteristics, knowledge, and husband support among family planning acceptors using long-acting reversible contraception in the working area of Public Health Center III, South Denpasar District Health Office. This study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The researchers analyzed the characteristics, knowledge, and husband support among LARC acceptors in the study area. The results showed that most respondents were aged 25–35 years (76%), had completed senior high school or vocational high school education (70%), and worked as private employees (50%). More than half of the respondents had a high income (52%). The majority demonstrated good knowledge of LARC (64%). The most common types of husband support were informational and instrumental support (98%). In conclusion, most respondents were of productive age, had relatively high educational backgrounds, worked as private employees, and had high income levels. Although respondents generally had good knowledge and husband support, further improvement is still needed to optimize the implementation of LARC programs.
