Method: The method of implementation is by providing counselling on indications and contraindications for contraceptive insertion. Result: There were 52 IMP cadres who attended counselling on indications and contraindications for contraceptive insertion. The pre-test results before counselling showed that 68% of IMP cadres were able to answer questions correctly. After counselling, posttest results showed that almost all (93%) IMP cadres could answer questions correctly. This proves that the counselling provided can increase the knowledge and understanding of IMP cadres regarding indications and contraindications for contraceptive insertion. Conclusion: The targets were very enthusiastic in participating in this activity. This was evidenced by the number of participants who asked questions when the presentation of the material was finished. The role of IMP cadres is very important in reminding couples of the importance of participating in the family planning programme, and choosing the right contraceptive.

Abstract

Soft skills development requires the use of education media and forums. While storytelling may be used in competitions, media classes do not use it as a teaching media. Storytelling in the classroom hasn't been used to its fullest potential. English language proficiency can be improved through the use of digital storytelling, specifically on YouTube, by students. The study is intended to achieve similarities and discrepancies in the importance of the English-language achievement with general English and the implementation of digital storytelling. This study may be graded as an experimental investigation and classroom action research. This study employed cross-sectional research with independent speaking pre-test and post-test for experimental and control group design. Talking with storytelling therapy triggering different strategies is advised in experimental classes. It uses intervention research to change people's "talking," "doing" and "related practices". For the control group data combined with T-tests findings, a value of 0.417 has been achieved with an average value of -10.97436. In achieving speaking test outcomes, one may interpret that the treatment group has a more important meaning than the control group. The outcome of this study show that storytelling learning can help students at vocational health Level 2, more than the general English learning, achieve the high speaking achievement. Abstract

Introduction: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a major global health threat, contributing to over 36 million deaths annually. Hypertension, a key NCD, is associated with poor health outcomes, including reduced quality of life and increased mortality. This community service is carried out with a prevention strategy as an effort to overcome problems through health education. Health education is not only useful in increasing knowledge but has the potential to change a person's behavior in the long run. Objective: The purpose of this service was to increase public knowledge about hypertension prevention and management to encourage healthy lifestyle practices that reduce the prevalence of hypertension. Method: This public service was conducted at Madrasah At-Thohariyah, Kampung Salaksa, Tasikmalaya, Indonesia, on December 8, 2024. The activities included pre-test and post-test assessments, lectures, discussions, and leaflet distribution to educate participants on hypertension, its risks, and prevention methods. Result: A significant increase in participants' knowledge was evaluated through pre-test and post-test with the percentage of individuals in the good knowledge category increasing from 37.5% (pre-test) to 68.75% (post-test). This increase in knowledge demonstrates the effectiveness of the combination of lectures and leaflets in delivering health education. The positive impact arising from the implementation of community service is clear evidence of the success and achievement of goals. Conclusion: Community education on hypertension through engaging and accessible methods can effectively enhance public awareness and promote behavior changes to prevent and control hypertension.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting can have long-term impacts on children's health and development. Preventing stunting in children under five requires a comprehensive approach, including adequate and balanced nutritional intake. One of the natural ingredients commonly used in traditional medicine is red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum), which contains phytochemical compounds, vitamins, minerals, and fiber beneficial for maintaining vascular and digestive health. Gummy candy formulations have the advantage of high acceptability and appeal, particularly for children who find it difficult to consume medicine. Objective: This study aims to determine the level of preference for gummy candy made with red ginger extract as a strategy to prevent stunting in children under five. Method: The study employed an experimental design using a sensory hedonic test. The inclusion criteria included mothers with toddlers. A total of 20 participants were selected using an incidental sampling technique. Result: The findings indicated that participants showed a high level of preference for red ginger extract gummy candy. On average, the gummy candy was rated as highly appealing in terms of appearance, taste, aroma, and texture. Conclusion: Red ginger extract gummy candy has significant potential to be well-accepted by children under five. Further improvements are recommended, particularly in enhancing the gummy candy's appearance and incorporating more varied shapes to increase its appeal.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting remains a significant nutritional issue characterized by chronic malnutrition, negatively impacting children's growth, development, and productivity throughout their lives. Proper nutrition, particularly during the first 1,000 days of life, is essential to prevent stunting. The lack of protein intake, especially from animal sources, is a major contributing factor to stunting in Indonesia. Objective: The purpose of this public service was to increase the knowledge of mothers with toddlers and health cadres regarding the importance of animal protein intake as part of the "Isi Piringku" campaign to prevent stunting in Sindangrasa Village, Ciamis Regency. Method: This public service was conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage involved coordination with local authorities for permission and logistical arrangements. The implementation stage included pre-test knowledge assessments, an educational session using slide presentations and leaflets, and interactive discussions. The evaluation stage involved post-test assessments to measure knowledge improvement. Result: The service was attended by 30 participants, consisting of health cadres and mothers with toddlers. Pre-test results showed that 50% of participants had moderate knowledge, while 30% had low knowledge about the role of animal protein in preventing stunting. After the educational session, the percentage of participants with good knowledge increased to 53.33%, while those with moderate knowledge decreased to 46.67%. Conclusion: The findings suggest that education using slide presentations and leaflets is effective in increasing knowledge about stunting prevention through balanced nutrition. Raising awareness among mothers and health cadres is crucial in promoting behavior changes that support adequate animal protein intake to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Introduction: The nutritional needs of pregnant women increase 2-3 times as the gestational age increases. Fulfilling the dietary needs of pregnant women is a challenge, especially for low- and middle-income countries. Many pregnant women in poor countries experience micronutrient deficiencies. Micronutrient deficiencies can have a negative impact on pregnant women because they can cause problems for the health of the mother and fetus. The effect of deficiencies of micronutrients, namely iron, folic acid, and B12 in pregnant women is anemia. Iron deficiency anemia is one of the most common diseases during pregnancy. In addition to iron and folic acid supplements which are intended to anticipate anemia problems, pregnant women also need other micronutrient components in the form of vitamins and minerals. Multi Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) is one of the global strategies recommended by the United Nations International Childhood Emergency Fund (UNICEF) to prevent micronutrient deficiencies. Objective: The literature review aims to examine the benefits of consuming Multi Micronutrient Supplements (MMN) in overcoming anemia in pregnant women. Method: The method used in writing this article is a review of research results related to the provision of MMS to overcome anemia in pregnant women. Result: Based on the articles that have been analyzed, it can be seen that consuming MMN during pregnancy can increase hemoglobin levels so that it can prevent anemia in pregnant women. Conclusion: MMS consumption during pregnancy can increase hemoglobin levels and prevent anemia in pregnant women. Referring to this conclusion, it is recommended for pregnant women to consume MMS regularly.
