Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out if there is a relationship between parenting and parents' cultural background. This study used quantitative methods with correlational analysis data processing. In this study, 30 parents who have children aged 5-6 years in Benda Village, Sukabumi District, West Java, became the research subjects. Data collection methods used survey techniques and documentation. The analysis test used was Person Product Moment correlation between variable X and variable Y. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between parents' cultural background and parenting. This is based on the sign value. 0.000 > 0.05 is considered valid and the Pearson Correlation value of 0.757 indicates a strong interdependence between variables. Thus, there is a clear relationship between parents' cultural background and early childhood care.

Abstract

Abstract

Early childhood is an individual who is in the age range of 0 to 6 years, this age range is the most qualified period to stimulate every aspect of development in children, especially in terms of aspects of social development. Children's social development is a series of social behaviors that appear in individuals. Generally, patterns of social behavior in children are obtained through social events received in their social environment. This research aims to determine the role of daycare in stimulating social development in children aged 4-5 years. In this case, researcher made aspects of social development, there are : aspects of cooperation, aspects of empathy, aspects of generosity, and aspects of imitation with indicators; play and cooperate with other friends, can put themselves in the position of others, can share with friends and people around daycare, and can practice worship activities. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative by data collection methods through observation, the results of interview and documentation in this research explained that the role of Bocah Emas daycare in stimulating social development in children aged 4-5 years has shown success in several aspects. The inhibiting and supporting factors for social development in children aged 4-5 years in the Bocah Emas daycare occur due to several factors, there are: home environment factors, family factors, social status factors and factors of child interaction with their friends.

Abstract

Aplikasi Tik Tok adalah aplikasi sosial media online berbasis video yang memberikan special effects unik dan menarik, sehingga dapat menarik perhatian banyak kalangan terutama pada anak-anak. Anak di usia 5-6 tahun ini anak senang bermain, karakteristik anak yang senang bermain membuat anak tertarik untuk memainkan aplikasi Tik Tok beserta fitur fitur yang ada di dalamnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan aplikasi tik tok pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di desa Banjarnegara. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian anak usia 5-6 tahun dan orang tua. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan mencakup tiga bagian yaitu reduksi data, penyaji data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, konten aplikasi Tik Tok yang cenderung ditonton oleh anak usia 5-6 Tahun yaitu konten mukbang, kartun, dan make up. Rata-rata penggunaan aplikasi Tik Tok selama 2 jam perhari. Dampak penggunaan aplikasi Tik Tok pada anak usia 5-6 tahun terdapat dampak negatif dan positif. Dampak negatifnya yaitu anak menjadi malas belajar, sedangkan dampak positifnya yaitu dapat mendorong kreativitas dan membantu anak dalam mengasah keterampilan mengedit video.

Abstract

Parents play a crucial role in shaping a child's character and personality. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of parenting styles on the discipline character of 4-5 years old children at RA Asy-Syuhada, Central Jakarta. The method used is quantitative with an ex-post facto design. The study population consists of 32 children, and due to a saturation sampling technique, resulting in a sample size of 32 children. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test, and the result showed that the calculated t-count = 9.683 > t-table = 1.697, so it can be concluded that H₀ is rejected, and Ha is accepted. The results of the coefficient of determination in a simple linear regression test indicate that parenting styles have a 76.4% influence on a child's discipline character. The most dominant parenting style applied was the democratic parenting style, accounting for 93.75%, while the authoritarian was at 6.25%, and the permissive was at 0. Therefore, it can be concluded that parenting styles have a significant influence on the discipline character of 4-5 years old children at RA Asy-Syuhada, Central Jakarta. Abstract

Early childhood is a period of growth, development, and processing for individuals. During this golden period, educational support is required to provide stimulation so that every child's potential can be developed. Therefore, activities that can facilitate every child's potential are implemented in early childhood education, such as through market day activities. Through market day activities, entrepreneurial values can be instilled from an early age. This study aims to analyze the effect of market day activities on entrepreneurial values in 5-6 year old children at the Kindergarten in Cipare, Serang, Banten. Hence, this study employs a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method, and the sample type is purposive sampling of 70 children aged 5-6 years. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire utilizing the likert scale assessment technique and documentation. Based on the results obtained in this study, the simple linear regression significance value 0.000, and the correlation value (R) 0.646, indicating that Hı is accepted, and Ho is rejected. Therefore, the data is stated to have a positive influence of 64.6% between market day activities and entrepreneurial values in early childhood in Cipare, Serang, Banten. Abstract

Flood mitigation is crucial to be introduced in early childhood learning, considering that early childhood victims are vulnerable to disasters. Flood mitigation is vital since the disaster will impact health, physical condition, and continuity of education. This research aims to find out to what extent the effect of the storytelling method on the understanding of flood management in early childhood. This study used a quantitative approach with the experimental method by two samples, namely the experimental and the control groups. Each group consisted of 20 children who were given different treatments and then provided a questionnaire to measure the child's ability to understand disaster mitigation. Based on the calculation results of the paired sample t-test in the experimental group, the Sig (2-Tailed) had a value of 0.000 0.05, so there was a significant effect; thus, H0 was rejected, and H1 was accepted. Furthermore, after being given treatment in the experimental group from pre-test to post-test, the change from pre-test to post-test increased by 31.45. Meanwhile, the control group's change from pre-test to post-test rose by 12.30. It is also known that the most significant change occurred in the experimental group with the treatment method of telling stories about understanding flood mitigation. For this reason, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the storytelling method on flood mitigation in early childhood. Storytelling could be an appropriate alternative to introduce awareness in another disaster mitigation.

Abstract

Speaking is one of language skills that exist in early childhood, speaking is an activity to clearly express an idea, the purpose or feeling so another individual could understand what is meant and can be stimulated for early childhood in everyday activites. Speak ability is a skills that can be carried out by an individual to be able finished a job properly and this ability is acquired since birth and can be honed further through stimulation from family or people around children so can develops and produces with maximum results. YouTube is application that we used through accessed an Internet, the user could send or display videos and animations with various video so people can enjoy it. The research was conducted in Uwung Jaya Village, Tangerang, Banten. The research used a quantitative method, Expost factor, and purposive sampling where the subjects were parents who had 4- to 5-year-old children that watched YouTube. The samples taken were 30 parents. The data collection technique used questionnaires, and the data analysis used normality test, linearity test, simple linear regression test, and t-test. The analysis shows a data yield of 0,657 with a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted; therefore, the result indicates there is an influence by YouTube for children's speaking abilities aged 4 to 5 years old by 43,2 % or 0,432.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini saat ini memerlukan inovasi pembelajaran anak untuk berpikir kritis, kreatif dan mengasyikkan. Salah satu alternatif ialah dengan penerapan pembelajaran media loose part, media loose part juga dapat membangun merdeka belajar pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan media pembelajaran loose part dalam membangun merdeka belajar pada anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK AL-Kautsar Serang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan subjek penelitian adalah 1 orang guru, dan peserta didik dengan jumlah 5 anak yang terdiri dari 3 laki-laki dan 2 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa tahap dalam penerapan pelaksanaan media pembelajaran loose part dalam membangun merdeka belajar, yaitu: 1) kegiatan awal atau pembukaan, penjelasan sederhana tentang tema dan melakukan tanya jawab, 2) kegiatan inti, yaitu anak bebas memilih basecamp lingkungan bermain dan belajar: terdapat 6 basecamp lingkungan alat dan bahan loose part, dan 3) kegiatan akhir atau penutup

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reading ability of students at Kak Seto School and determine the effectiveness of digital learning media in improving their reading skills. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, focusing on three first-grade students at Kak Seto School who cannot read. Data is collected through observation, documentation, and interviews with teachers from the TIK (Technology of Information and Communication) department. The study's findings indicate that the students have a common problem: Sensory Processing Disorder, and that digital learning media can effectively improve their reading abilities. The research implications and limitations of the study are that it focuses only on three students at Kak Seto School, and the findings may not be generalizable to other schools or contexts. However, the study has practical implications for teachers, who must proactively introduce children to letters and train their learning abilities. The use of digital media can facilitate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential for academic success. The originality and value of this study lie in its contribution to understanding the role of digital learning media in improving reading abilities in children. The study provides important insights into the benefits of digital media in teaching and learning and highlights the need for further research. By utilizing digital media effectively, educators can help enhance the reading abilities of students struggling to learn in traditional classroom settings. Overall, this study has important implications for educators, policymakers, and parents interested in improving children's literacy rates.
