Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the creative thinking skills of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering students at Yabhinka Vocational High School in Cilegon. This research employs a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental methodology. Students of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering at Yabhinka Vocational High School for the academic year 2020/2021 comprised the research sample, with of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering 1 comprising 18 student samples serving as the experimental class and class of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering 2 totaling 18 student samples serving as the control class. The data collection instrument was an essay-based, 10-question test of creative reasoning abilities. Examine the hypothesis using the Paired Sample t Test and Independent Test in this study. The posttest mean is 82.9, the mean observation value is 86.11, and the project mean is 84.14, according to the results of the study conducted in of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering 1, which employs the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering 2 students who did not use the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model achieved a posttest mean of 71.7, an observation mean of 74.56, and a project mean of 49.9. The results of hypothesis testing with the Independent t-test statistic show a significant value of 0.000 or less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has an effect on the creative thinking abilities of of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering.

Abstract

Vocational education, especially in Vocational High Schools (SMK), has an important role in preparing competent and skilled human resources (HR) to meet the needs of the world of work. In facing the challenges of evolving technology, the block system is applied as a learning innovation to align education with industry needs. This system allows students to focus on mastering productive competencies through structured learning, such as Field Work Practices (PKL) and productive subjects. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with observation and interviews to evaluate the implementation of the block system at SMK Negeri 4 Serang City. The results showed that the block system has great potential in improving students' confidence and competence, but obstacles such as limited facilities, schedules, and teacher training are still the main challenges. Efforts to overcome these obstacles include cooperation between schools, parents and industry, as well as increasing teacher capacity through training. With planned implementation and optimal support from all parties, the block system can contribute significantly to producing graduates who are competent, disciplined and ready to compete in the job market.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah pondasi utama dalam kemajuan suatu bangsa, dan sarana prasarana pendidikan memainkan peran penting dalam memastikan kualitas dan aksesibilitas pendidikan yang merata. Artikel ini menjelaskan peran serta dampak dari sarana prasarana pendidikan terhadap kesetaraan, keadilan, dan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Melalui studi literatur, artikel ini mengidentifikasi bahwa sarana prasarana tidak hanya berperan sebagai alat bantu langsung dalam proses belajar-mengajar, tetapi juga sebagai penunjang tidak langsung yang mempengaruhi lingkungan pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Artikel ini juga menggambarkan tantangan yang dihadapi, seperti ketimpangan infrastruktur antara perkotaan dan pedesaan, kondisi fisik bangunan sekolah yang buruk, serta keterbatasan akses teknologi di daerah terpencil. Rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kondisi ini termasuk peningkatan alokasi anggaran, perbaikan manajemen sarana prasarana, dan pengembangan program inklusif untuk memastikan setiap siswa mendapatkan pendidikan yang setara dan bermutu. Dengan demikian, pemahaman dan peningkatan sarana prasarana pendidikan menjadi krusial dalam mendukung kemajuan pendidikan Indonesia menuju standar internasional.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil pengaruh Keterampilan 4C (Critical thinking, Creative, Communication, Collaboration) terhadap hasil belajar pada subjek mesin bubut menurut aspek siswa dan aspek guru. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah ex post facto. Penelitian dilakukan di dua sekolah dengan strata dan wilayah kota yang berbeda, yaitu SMK Negeri 2 Kota Serang dan SMK YPWKS Kota Cilegon dengan pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, angket/angket dan studi pustaka. Hasil pengumpulan data angket yang diambil adalah siswa dan guru dengan jumlah siswa 131 dan guru dengan teknik analisis data adalah uji validitas, uji reliabilitas dan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil menurut aspek siswa pada koefisien determinasi (r2) adalah (84,3%) dan menurut aspek guru pada koefisien determinasi (r2) adalah (91,9%), sehingga keterampilan 4C berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran mesin bubut pada kedua SMK.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the challenges faced by students during the Field Work Practice (PKL) in the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering (TKRO) program at SMK Negeri 4 Serang City. The focus of the study includes aspects of planning, implementation, assessment, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the PKL. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collection through questionnaires given to 63 students of class XII TKRO and interviews with supervising teachers. The results of the study show that students face various challenges, such as the mismatch between the PKL location and their field of expertise, insufficient preparation before the PKL, and the discrepancy between school material and industry practices. However, the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the PKL were rated as good to excellent. The industry's assessment of the students was also positive, but monitoring activities by the school are still limited due to resource constraints. This study recommends strengthening school-industry cooperation, improving preparation and monitoring systems, and placing students in PKL locations that align with their competencies. These findings are expected to serve as a reference in efforts to improve the quality of PKL implementation and the job readiness of vocational school graduates.

Abstract

This study investigates the extent to which parental social support influences academic procrastination among student of the vocational Mechanical Engineering Education Program at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach with purposice sampling, 30 students participated as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring parental social support and academic procrastination, then analyzed using simple linear regression via SPSS 20. The findings indicate a significant negatice relationship between the two variables, with higher parental support associated with reduced acade,oc procrastination. The study concludes that parental roles-through emotional, appraisal, and informational support-are essential in fostering students academic discipline.

Abstract

Peran organisasi pendidikan merupakan salah satu faktor yang turut mempengaruhi terwujudnya sumber daya profesional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali peran organisasi-organisasi pendidikan dalam meningkatkan sumber daya yang profesional dimana berfokus pada topik guru. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kualitas sumber daya manusia ditentukan berdasarkan mutu dan tingkat pendidikan. Semakin tinggi kualitas pendidikan, maka makin tinggi pula kualitas sumber daya manusia. Bersamaan atas kualitas pendidikan, perlu upaya untuk peningkatan kualifikasi, kompetensi, dan kesejahteraan guru. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur. Terkait penelitian kualitatif, penulis berusaha menafsirkan informasi yang telah diperoleh menurut analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organisasi pendidikan berperan signifikan dalam pengembangan profesionalisme guru. Beberapa contoh organisasi pendidikan di Indonesia antara lain PGRI, PGSI, dan LPTK. Organisasi-organisasi pendidikan tersebut membantu menyediakan wadah, sarana dan prasarana yang diperlukan bahkan memperjuangkan aspirasi serta hak guru. Peranan organisasi pendidikan kemudian menjadi jembatan dalam mewujudkan kualitas sumber daya yang profesional.

Abstract

Proses yang dilakukan untuk menjaga kualitas mesin agar beroperasi dengan baik seperti biasa disebut perawatan. Pemeliharaan juga merupakan kegiatan pendukung yang menjamin kelangsungan mesin dan peralatan sehingga dapat digunakan sesuai harapan saat dibutuhkan. PT. Tunas Mobilindo Perkasa cabang lebak adalah bisnis yang menjual dan menyediakan jasa perbaikan mobil, perusahaan ini merupakan cabang dari PT Tunas Ridean Tbk yng bergerak di bidang penjualan dan service produk Daihatsu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis perawatan peralatan. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif, sumber data yaitu data sekunder dan data primer, Adapun Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan observasi langsung selama 40 hari kerja. Hasil penelitian didapat bahwa fasilitas perawatan dan perlengkapan PT. Tunas Mobilindo Perkasa cabang lebak memenuhi standar industri. Pemeriksaan rutin, pelumasan, penggantian oli, dan kalibrasi adalah beberapa bagian dari proses perawatan alat. Hal ini dapat digunakan pada berbagai alat seperti lift mobil, caddy, sporingwill, pengimbang, pengubah ban Krisbow, pengisi ban nitrogen, hidrolik preser, hidrolik mesin, dan dongkrak buaya 15 ton.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate an integrated character development model for Vocational High School (SMK) students in Banten Province, Indonesia. A sequential exploratory mixed-methods design was employed, involving 4 teachers and 22 students from four purposively selected SMKs representing different regional and program characteristics. Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, classroom observations, and document analysis. Quantitative data were collected using a validated 30-item Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 22 students. The qualitative findings identified five core character values prioritized by stakeholders: discipline, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, and hard work. However, systematic character education implementation remained limited, with only 35% of classes integrating character values explicitly. The study also identified challenges such as limited instructional time, inconsistent teacher modeling, and insufficient resources. Quantitatively, student perceptions indicated strong agreement (82.07%) toward existing character initiatives, although disparities appeared across dimensions such as personal experiences, teacher–student interactions, and developmental challenges.The resulting model consists of three components: (1) curriculum-integrated character instruction, (2) enhanced extracurricular activities with defined character outcomes, and (3) personalized student mentoring supported by family–school collaboration. Pilot implementation over four months demonstrated improvements in students’ character knowledge (23.4%), attitudes (18.7%), and behavioral indicators (15.3%). The findings suggest that character development in SMK settings requires intentional, structured, and contextually relevant strategies supported by teachers, administrators, families, and industry partners.
