Abstract

The success of a business in today's globalized market depends on effective marketing and product innovation. This study aims to analyze consumers' assessment of various factors such as promotion, location, brand, price, taste, and packaging size, and their impact on purchasing decisions for Saladpilih.id fruit salad. The research method involves a quantitative approach and data collection through online questionnaires. A total of 94 samples were obtained using nonprobability sampling with the Slovin formula. The findings indicate that promotion, location, brand, price, taste, and packaging size were positively assessed by consumers, with purchasing decision receiving the highest score of 4.19 and promotion the lowest at 3.87. The study also reveals that promotion, location, brand, price, taste, and packaging size all influence consumer decisions when purchasing Saladpilih.id fruit salad.

Abstract

People in Baran Buring Village, Malang City produce turmeric. There are still many of them living below the poverty line. To improve the community's economy, the Tourism Kampong program was initiated and driven by the Tholabie Islamic Boarding School in collaboration with academics. This Public Service (PKM) program aims to educate people how to process turmeric and telang flower into popular beverages. The method used is educating and training people about how to produce popular beverages made from turmeric and telang flower. The results achieved are: the increasing of people knowledge about the benefits of telang and turmeric flowers (80%) and the skill in produce turmeric and telang flowers (90%). This beverage product can be a souvenir as well as a reinforcement of the character of Kampoeng Eduwisata Buah Bercahaya.

Abstract

Suburban areas often experience development pressures, with implications for changing green space into built areas, rural cultures into urban ones, and poverty into prosperity. The development of Buring Kampong (suburban settlement) in Malang City into a tourism kampong, in addition to improving the local economy, must also be able to support environmental quality and community independence. This research used the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach in identifying tangible and intangible assets. The data were collected through field observation, focused group discussion, interviews, and secondary data. Tangible aspects include land use, natural and artificial resources, infrastructure, accessibility, machinery and equipment, and local architecture. Meanwhile, intangible assets include intellectual property, potential branding development, goodwill, software/web, formal and informal organization, social and cultural values, and potential customers. The data obtained were presented descriptively and discussed together, as a triangulation process. The results showed the diversity and breadth of tangible and intangible assets of Baran village, and both of these assets can be directly found in the field and during FGDs and interviews. This research is also an effort to strengthen community engagement and public awareness about their assets, and this activity needs to be continuously improved, to have a better level of community engagement, confidence, social participation, branding, and networking.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze partnership patterns, income and feasibility of farming, as well as compare the income of partner farmers on sandy and sandy loam soils. This research was conducted in Paseban Village and Sanenrejo Village. The method used is descriptive quantitative by taking a sample of 30 partner farmers by census. Primary data was collected through interviews with questionnaires, while secondary data came from agencies related to the research. Data analysis uses income and feasibility analysis using the R/C ratio, BEP unit and BEP price. To find out the comparison of average income, the SPSS analysis tool was used with the Mann Whitney test. The research results show that the partnership pattern that exists between partner farmers and PT. Benih Citra Asia is a sub-contract partnership pattern. The income from farming watermelon seeds on sandy soil is IDR 13,510,870/ha, and on sandy loam soil IDR 16,495,867/ha. The R/C ratio value of partner farmers for sandy soil and sandy loam is >1, namely sandy soil is 1.235 and sandy loam is 1.468. It is known that the unit BEP value for sandy soil is 21.386 kg/ha and sandy loam soil is 16.519 kg/ha. The BEP price value is IDR 2,901,468/kg on sandy soil and IDR 1,858,364/kg on sandy loam soil. Farming carried out by partner farmers makes a profit and is worth pursuing. There is no difference in income between partner farmers on sandy and sandy loam soil.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the influence of factors on entrepreneurial intentions of students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University. The number of respondents in this research was 150 respondents who were UB Faculty of Agriculture students. The analysis method used is SEM-PLS analysis with the WarpPLS 7.0 application and uses attitude variables, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and entrepreneurship education which are moderated by the gender variable. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it is known that: 1) attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and entrepreneurship education have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions among students, 2) gender is significantly able to moderate the independent variables of subjective norms and entrepreneurship education and is reinforcing because the coefficient of the moderating variable is positive, 3) attitudes and perceived behavioral control cannot be moderated by gender. Therefore, self-development programs and skills training are needed as an effort to improve entrepreneurial abilities. Programs that can be organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University are coaching classes and interactive workshops.

Abstract

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BTSNP) is one of the ecotourism in Indonesia that has been designated by UNESCO as one of the world's biosphere reserve. It is considered to have harmony between ecological and economic aspects. This study aims to analyze local community perceptions of tourism impact at BTSNP ecotourism based on economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts; and analyze the correlations between the impact of and the demographic characteristics of respondents. The data was obtained from Tengger community in Sapikerep Village, Sukapura Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency using questionnaire and it was analyzed with descriptive statistic and correlation analysis using Kendall's tau-b test. The results of this study show that the residents’ perceived of the impact of tourism is mostly positive (>80% agreed) towards three aspects of tourism impacts. Then, it was found that residents who own a business in a tourist area had a positive significant correlation with perception of tourism impact from the economic and socio-cultural dimension. As for other demographic characteristics, such as age, gender, income level, and education level, there is no significant correlation with perceived of tourism impacts. The existence of the BTSNP brings opportunities for local residents to become entrepreneurs. Local residents who own a business more likely to have better perception of tourism impact. The positive impact from the economic and socio-cultural side is enjoyed more by the people who are directly involved in tourism activities.

Abstract

Malang City experiences an increase in population every year, which has led to a reduction in agricultural land. In addition, the population continues to grow due to the arrival of newcomers and students from outside the city. Despite having a high population, there is still unused agricultural land that has not been optimally utilized. These areas have transitioned to urban farming by using the land to produce healthy vegetables. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing interest in agriculture, such as knowledge, attitude, and perception. A quantitative approach was used in this research, employing purposive sampling techniques, including interviews and documentation. The total sample size in this study was 70 respondents. Data processing was conducted using descriptive statistical analysis and SEM-PLS. The results of the study indicate that knowledge and attitude toward urban agriculture do not have a significant effect on people’s interest in farming in urban areas. However, perception of urban agriculture has a positive influence on interest, as the community recognizes its economic, social, and environmental benefits.

Abstract

Small Medium Enterprise SL (SME SL) has a fluctuating volume of demand for ground coffee and to forecast demand for the following month, they only use the owner's intuition, so they cannot ensure the availability of product stocks precisely. Therefore, the use of accurate forecasting methods is necessary for forecasting in the future. The purpose of this research is to describe the demand forecasting for robusta ground coffee in SME SL, analyze the demand forecasting for robusta ground coffee products in SME SL and compare the value of forecasting accuracy to get the best forecasting method. Determination of the sample using judgment sampling is the owner of SME SL. The data used is ground coffee demand data for the period January 2015 to August 2022. The forecasting methods used is Holt-Winters Exponential Smoothing and SARIMA. The results showed that SME SL applies executive opinion for forecasting, and the best model for forecasting product demand is the SARIMA model (0,1,1) (0,1,1)12, because it produces an MSE error value of 1.8868 and a MAPE value of 0.20% with the highest demand in January 2023 of 866.32 kg. Suggestions for SME SL to increase demand for their products by applying the SARIMA method, developing appropriate process and capacity planning strategies and making the best use of existing tourism opportunities.

Abstract

This research aims to identify consumer attitudes toward organic green vegetables by estimating the degree of Willingness To Pay (WTP) for various attributes to evaluate the position of these organic vegetables and determine preferences for organic green vegetables based on income. This study used an online survey with 191 respondents on Java Island. The Discrete Choice Experiment was used to investigate product selection, WTP, and the relationship between the four characteristics of vegetables and income. The findings showed that consumers prefer organic and pesticide-free vegetables that are good for health, have low chemical emissions and a lower environmental impact, and are less expensive than non-organic vegetables. This is a challenge for producers and marketers to develop responsible input management strategies to produce high-quality vegetables at a low cost and with minimal environmental impact.
