Abstract

This study aims to develop a holistic model of family welfare among women micro-entrepreneurs by examining the effects of Islamic microfinance, women’s empowerment, spiritual motivation, and digital technology adoption, with business sustainability serving as a mediating variable. Unlike previous studies that predominantly examine the direct effects of financial and non-financial resources on business performance or welfare, this study integrates financial, technological, empowerment, and spiritual dimensions into a single model and investigates business sustainability as the mechanism linking these factors to family welfare. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected through purposive sampling from 200 women micro-entrepreneurs in West Java, Indonesia. The results demonstrate that digital technology adoption and spiritual motivation have positive and significant effects on business sustainability, whereas women’s empowerment has a significant negative effect. Islamic microfinance does not significantly affect business sustainability. Digital technology adoption, spiritual motivation, and business sustainability have positive and significant effects on family welfare, while Islamic microfinance and women’s empowerment have no significant direct effects. The mediation analysis reveals that business sustainability significantly mediates only the relationship between digital technology adoption and family welfare. However, it does not mediate the effects of Islamic microfinance, women’s empowerment, or spiritual motivation on family welfare. These findings highlight digital technology adoption as a critical pathway through which sustainable micro-enterprises can improve the welfare of women entrepreneurs’ families.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and describe in general how the level of application of Islamic marketing ethics in the use of digital marketing in SMEs through a quantitative descriptive approach. The analysis technique used in this study is to look for the average demographic data that has been filled by respondents. The subjects of this study are SMEs who have done marketing using digital marketing operating in the city of Bandung with a total of 30 respondents. Furthermore, the sampling technique that the researchers used was non-probability sampling with convenience types to make it easier for researchers to obtain samples. The results of this study indicate that the average percentage of all dimensions has a very good category. So, it can be said that the application of Islamic marketing ethics in the use of digital marketing in SMEs in Bandung has been very good. Meanwhile, the dimension that has the highest average percentage value is the dimension of being serving and being humble. However, there are still dimensions that have not been categorized as very good, namely the dimensions of behaving well and sympathetic and do not like to bad-mouth.

Abstract

Integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Smart Tourism Destinations (STDs) has transformed physical travel environments into data-driven ecosystems, yet systematic evidence regarding architectural trade-offs, empirical performance bounds, and technical user adoption models remains fragmented. Following the PRISMA 2020 protocol and the SPICE question formulation framework, this systematic literature review synthesizes 56 core studies (38 empirical and 18 conceptual) identified from Scopus and secondary repositories through 2026. The architectural synthesis reveals a structural dominance of Centralized Cloud Computing (67.9%, n = 38), whose high latency (>1500ms) limits real-time responsiveness. Conversely, Decentralized Edge (17.9%, n = 10) and Hybrid Cloud-Edge (14.3%, n = 8) architectures achieve sub-500 millisecond response times, ensuring bandwidth optimization and offline operational resilience. Quantitative synthesis of empirical studies establishes consistent operational impact boundary ranges: operational efficiency gains (+20% to +45\%), energy and facility maintenance cost savings (-15% to -35%), and visitor satisfaction increases (+10% to +30%). To explain user adoption dynamics, this study proposes an Extended Technology Acceptance Model (Extended TAM) positioning network latency, system reliability, and data privacy protections as critical technical antecedents to trust, perceived usefulness, and revisit intention. Strategic recommendations advocate for Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) to adopt multi-tiered hybrid computing topologies and privacy-by-design frameworks to balance real-time crowd mitigation with long-term governance.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the effect of segmenting, targeting, and positioning on consumer purchase decisions in the digital era, both partially and simultaneously, and to examine the role of consumer motivation as a moderator of that relationship.Methodology – This research adopts a quantitative approach to objectively measure the relationships among variables using numerical data. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), as the constructs of segmentation, targeting, positioning, consumer motivation, and purchase decisions are latent variables and involve moderation effects. Data were collected through an online structured questionnaire survey of 200 consumers who had previously made purchases via digital platforms. Purposive sampling was employed to ensure that respondents had relevant experience with digital marketing activities.Originality/Novelty – The originality of this study lies in its integration of the classical segmenting, targeting, and positioning framework with contemporary digital consumer behavior, particularly by positioning consumer motivation as a moderating variable that deepens the understanding of this relationship.Implications – The findings show that segmentation, targeting, and positioning each have a positive and significant effect on consumer purchase decisions, both partially and simultaneously, and that consumer motivation strengthens the effect of segmentation on purchase decisions. This study provides both theoretical insights and practical implications for the development of more adaptive, consumer-oriented digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Growing pressure to adopt sustainable business practices has not been accompanied by comparable progress among Micro and Small Enterprises (MSMEs), despite high levels of digital adoption. This gap highlights the need to understand how customer-oriented relational strategies can be translated into concrete sustainability marketing practices. This study examines the effect of Customer Relationship Orientation (CRO) on Sustainability Marketing across the Product Lifecycle (SMLC), with Co-Creation Value (CCV) serving as a mediating mechanism.A quantitative causal survey was conducted involving 168 Food and Beverage MSMEs in West Java, selected through purposive sampling based on active digital marketing usage and business maturity. Data were collected between July 2024 and April 2025 and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).The findings reveal that CRO significantly enhances Co-Creation Value, which in turn strengthens sustainability marketing practices across the product lifecycle. However, CRO does not directly influence sustainability marketing outcomes, confirming the presence of full mediation. These results demonstrate that relational orientation alone is insufficient to generate sustainability impact unless activated through collaborative value-creation processes. Co-Creation Value functions as a strategic mechanism that enables resource-constrained MSMEs to convert relational strength into practical sustainability initiatives, including environmentally responsible packaging and improved waste management. This study clarifies the relational mechanism through which customer orientation supports life-cycle-based sustainability marketing in resource-constrained MSMEs.
