Abstract

This research was carried out on the basis of the dominance of the use of lecture methods and the lack of use of learning tools in learning especially on Acid-Base material at SMAN 1 Purba. This research aims to (1) know significant influence between prior knowledge and LKPD on learning outcomes. (2) knowing the difference in learning outcomes between high initial knowledge and low initial knowledge. The population of this study were all class XI SMAN 1 Purba consisting of 3 classes by determining 1 class as the research sample, namely class XI-1 using purposive sampling techniques. This research uses multiple linear regression test and Independent Sample t-Test. Based on data analysis, values are obtained the average EPA is 78.24; 86.00; 72.62, average LKPD value is 78.82; 87.06; 74.12 and the average EHB value is 79.26; 88.97; 82.47. Observation data from the observation sheet the average value obtained was 82.06; 87.57; 82.50. Based on the multiple linear regression test, there is a significant influence between initial knowledge and LKPD on learning outcomes. Results Independent Sample t-Test There is a significant difference in learning outcome scores between students with initially high ability and students with low initial ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh: bahan ajar e-Modul berbasis masalah yang telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan isi, kelayakan bahasa, kelayakan penyajiam, dan kelayakan kegrafikan sesuai dengan Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) dan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan berpikir siswa menggunakan bahan ajar e-Modul berbasis masalah lebih tinggi dari nilai KKM. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang telah dimodifikasi sesuai kebutuhan. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Bandar, Perdagangan tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Sampel ditetapkan dengan purposive sampling dengan mengambil satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) e-Modul berbasis masalah pada materi laju reaksi yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria BSNP, dengan pengolahan data yang diperoleh: kelayakan isi = 3,69, kelayakan bahasa = 3,7, kelayakan penyajian = 3,62, dan kelayakan kegrafikan = 3,78 dengan kriteria valid dan tidak perlu revisi; 2) e-Modul berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes kemampuan awal berbasis keterampilan generik sains pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yaitu Define, Design, Development dan Disseminate. Instrumen tes kemampuan awal disesuaikan dengan indikator keterampilan generik sains. Produk akhir yang dihasilkan terdiri dari tes skolastik dan tes kimia berbentuk pilihan berganda,dimana tes skolastik akan menunjang  penyelesaian tes kimia. Instrumen yang dikembangkan diuji kelayakannya ditinjau dari validitas isi oleh ahli dan ditinjau dari validitas konstruksi dari hasil uji coba lapangan pada siswa di SMA kelas XI. Hasil analisis datamenunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes kemampuan awal berbasis keterampilan generik sains yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kelayakan validitas isi dengan rata rata persentase penilaian 90 persen dengan kategori sangat valid dan memenuhi kelayakan validitas konstruksi sehingga instrumen dianggap baik. Instrumen tes kemampuan awal ini efektif dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran yang dapat dijadikan sebagai alat untuk mengukur kemampuan awal serta meningkatkan keterampilan generik sains pada siswa. Abstract: This study aims to develop an initial ability test instrument based on generic science skills in chemical equilibrium material. This study uses a 4D development model, namely Define, Design, Development and Disseminate. The initial ability test instrument is adapted to indicators of generic science skills. The final product produced consists of a scholastic test and a chemistry test in the form of multiple choices, where the scholastic test will support the completion of the chemistry test. The feasibility of the developed instrument was tested in terms of content validity by experts and in terms of construction validity from the results of field trials on students in class XI SMA. The results of data analysis show that the initial ability test instrument based on generic science skills that has been developed has met the eligibility of content validity with an average percentage of 90 percent with a very valid category and meets the feasibility of construction validity so that the instrument is considered good. This initial ability test instrument is effective and appropriate for use in the learning process which can be used as a tool to measure initial abilities and improve generic science skills in students.

Abstract

Development the Test Items Based on High Order Thinking Skills in Chemical Equilibrium Materials Using Rasch Model. Objectives:This study aims to develop HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) based items on chemical equilibrium material using the Rasch model. Methods: The type of research used is research and development through the ADDIE model. Respondents in the study were 25 students of class XII at the Superior High School in North Sumatra, distinguished by gender and grade X. Findings: The test items developed consisted of 10 questions that had gone through the validation stage by experts and then tested and analyzed using the Winsteps software. Conclusion: Content validation obtained 100% fit indexed items; the reliability of the person category is sufficient and the item is in the good category with Cronbach α=0.72 (good); the value of separation person (1.27) is in the weak category and item (2.49) is in the good category; Item difficulty levels are sorted from very easy: medium: difficult: very difficult. Respondents with codes 02LO and 24LO (logit +4.36) are respondents with the highest ability, codes 18PR and 19PR (logit -1.97) are respondents with the lowest ability. Guttman Matrix Scalogram, two respondents have the potential to guess the answer and four respondents have the potential to commit fraud.Keywords: HOTS Items, Chemical Equilibrium, Rasch Model.DOI : 10.23960/jppk.v13.i1.2024.01

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Evaluation of Prior Knowledge and Student Worksheets on Evaluation of Learning Outcomes and determine the difference in learning outcomes between high initial knowledge and low initial knowledge using the Project Based Learning model integrated with Generic Science Skills in Acid-Base material. This research has two independent variables, namely Initial Knowledge Evaluation and Learner Worksheet and one dependent variable, namely Evaluation of learning outcomes data. The population in this study were all class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe consisting of 6 classes. The sample in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique from 1 class, namely class. The instruments used are initial knowledge evaluation test instruments, learning outcome evaluation test instruments and Student Worksheets as well as non-test student observation sheets. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests and Independent Sample T-Test. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant influence between the value of Prior Knowledge and Student Worksheets on learning outcomes and there is a significant difference in the value of learning outcomes between students whose initial abilities are classified as high and students whose initial abilities are classified as low.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of prior knowledge evaluation and student worksheets on learning outcomes and to determine the differences in learning outcomes between high prior knowledge and low prior knowledge using the Guided Inquiry learning model integrated with Generic Science Skills on Acid Base material. This study uses a dual paradigm design with two independent variables and one dependent variable. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin consisting of 3 classes. The sample in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique of 1 class, namely class XI MIPA 2 with a total of 34 students who were taught with the Guided Inquiry learning model integrated with Generic Science Skills using learning devices consisting of prior knowledge evaluation, teaching materials, student worksheets and evaluation of learning outcomes. The instruments used in this study were the initial knowledge evaluation test instrument, the learning outcome evaluation test instrument, student worksheets and the non-test instrument used was the student observation sheet. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests and Independent Sample T-Test tests. The results of the data analysis obtained showed that there was a significant influence between the evaluation of prior knowledge and student worksheets on learning outcomes and there was a difference between students with high prior knowledge and students with low prior knowledge. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain paradigma ganda dengan dua variabel independen dan satu variabel dependen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 1 kelas yaitu kelas XI MIPA 2 dengan jumlah peserta didik 34 orang yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing terintegrasi Keterampilan Generik Sains dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri dari evaluasi pengetahuan awal, bahan ajar, lembar kerja peserta didik dan evaluasi hasil belajar. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes evaluasi pengetahuan awal, instrumen tes evaluasi hasil belajar, lembar kerja peserta didik dan instrumen non tes yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi peserta didik. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji regresi linear ganda dan uji Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara evaluasi pengetahuan awal dan lembar kerja peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar dan ada perbedaan antara peserta didik yang pengetahuan awal tinggi dengan peserta didik yang pengetahuan awal rendah. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui pengaruh Evaluasi Pengetahuan Awal (EPA) dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa yang dinyatakan dalam bentuk Evaluasi Hasil Belajar (EHB) menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terintegrasi Keterampilan Generik Sains (KGS). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Swasta Padang Bulan Medan dengan populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA dan sampel dalam penelitian yaitu kelas XI MIA 1 yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, terdiri dari; EPA dan EHB masing-masing sebanyak 20 butir soal serta LKPD sebanyak 10 butir soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara EPA dan LKPD terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Selain itu juga terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi antara siswa dengan EPA rendah dan siswa dengan EPA tinggi

Abstract

An essential skill for learning chemistry is science literacy, which includes attitudes toward science, the scientific method, application in practical settings, and conceptual comprehension. However, the previous research revealed that students’ science literacy among Indonesian undergraduate students is still low, especially when it comes to abstract and complicated concepts like acids and bases. The study aims to develop STEM-PjBl-based teaching materials on acid acid-base topic and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing students' science literacy. The study employs the 4D development model. The product effectiveness test was conducted at the development stage using a quasi-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 90 chemistry education undergraduate students who took basic chemistry courses in the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 3 classes. Data was gathered by a science literacy test, validation sheets, and practicality surveys for lecturers. The validity of questionnaire responses was obtained by three experts' judgment using the kappa coefficient, the practicality questionnaire was also assessed using the kappa coefficient, while the validity of data on science literacy improvement was obtained through pre-test and post-test results. The results showed that the average kappa coefficient of expert validation of STEM-PjBL-based teaching materials is 0.88 (high validity). The practicality questionnaire produced an average kappa coefficient of 0.89 (high practicality). The effectiveness test obtained an average n-gain value of 0.65 (moderate), as evidenced by student involvement in designing projects to create soft drinks from natural ingredients through the PjBL model. The designing and evaluating scientific investigations indicator (n-gain 0.67) shows the most significant improvement because students were required to systematically design experimental procedures, including problem identification, variable determination, hypothesis formulation, planning tools, materials, and work steps following scientific principles.    Keywords: teaching materials, STEM-PjBL, science literacy, acid-base.
