Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of effluent land application on PMK media and determine the good deposition of effluent land application dose on the growth of oil palm seeds in main nursery. The design used in this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with giving effluent deposition application consist of 6 treatments that A0 (Without effluent deposition application), A1 (dose of 0,5 kg/plant), A2 (dose 1,0 kg/plant), A3 (dose of 1,5 kg/plant), A4 (dose of 2,0 kg/plant) and A5 (dose of 2,5 kg/plant). Parameters measured were the increase of plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, stump diameter and leaf area. Data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance, then further tested using Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at 5% level. Results of research shows giving the deposition effluent application for PMK planting media significantly effected on all parameters measured of oil palm seeds with the better treatment was dose of 2,0 kg/plant.   Keywords: effluent land application, ultisol, oil palm.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the interaction of cocoa pods compost (KKBK) and coconut water as well as finding the best dosage of compost and the best concentration of coconut water of chose on the growth of cocoa seedling (Theobroma cacao L.). This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. First factor is the dosage of cocoa pods compost which 4 levels. Second factor is the concentration of coconut water which 3 levels. The combination of these two factors become 12 treatmens and with 3 replication there are 36 experimental units. Each experimental units 2 seedlings so that there 72 seedlings. Parameters observed are seedling height, stem diameter, number of leafs and leaf area. Analysis used Analysis of Variance and further by Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5 % level. The result of the research shows that combination of KKBK application and coconut water has no effect to all parameters. The combination of KKBK with dosage of 210 g/plant and the concentration of coconut water of 75 % trend to increase seedling height and stem diameter of cocoa seedling. The application of KKBK with 210 g/plant dosage has good effect on seedling height, stem diameter, number of leaf, and leaf area. The application of coconut water with 75 % concentration has good effect on stem diameter and  number of leaf,  and with 100 % concentration has good effect on seedling height and leaf area.   Keywords : cocoa, compost, cocoa pods compost, coconut water

Abstract

ABSTRACT   The purpose of this research is to find out the interaction of TKKS liquid smoke application and trichocompost as well as finding the best concentration and dozage of chose on the growth of oil palm seedling (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) at the main nursery. This research was carried out at the Agriculturural Faculty University of Riau Bina  Widya Campus KM 12,5 Simpang Baru Tampandistrick, Pekanbaru at the height of 10 m above sea level. The research was 4 months star in September 2015 through January 2016. The research utilize CRD (Completely Roudomized Design) which 2 factors. First factor is the concentration of liquid smoke wich 6 level. Second factors is trichocompost dozage wich 2 level. Both factor gave 12 treatment combination and wich 3 replication there are 36 experimental units. Each experimental units 2 seedling so that there were 72 seedling. Parameters observed were the increase of seedling height, the increase of leaf number, the increase of hump diameter, leaf area an soil analysis. Data were analyzed statistically with variance and continued with Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The result of the research showed chat interaction of liquid smoke and trickocompost gave nonsignificant effect to the parameter of seedling height increase, leaf number increase, hump diameter increase and leaf area of seedling. The combination of treatment liquid smoke with 20% concentration and trichocompost of 124.5 g/plant dosage trend to increase the seedling height, leaf number increase and leaf area of oilpalm seedling. The application of liquid smoke 20% gave good effect on the increase of seedling height and leaf number of seedling. The application of trichocompost 124.5 g/plant gave good effect on seedling height increase leaf number increase and hump diameter increase of oilpalm seedling.   Keyword : Oilpalm, TKKS Liquid Smoke, Trichocompost.

Abstract

The problem in large scale cacao nurseries is the limitated top soil as a planting medium. The use of ultisol as a medium requires improvement with the aim of producing quality cocoa seeds.The study used a non factory completely randomized design (CRD) with 9 treatments of mycorrhizal (g) formulations with coconut water (%): 5 g and 50%, 7,5 g and 50%, 10 g and 50%, 5 g and 75%, 7,5 g and 75%,   10 g and 75%, 5 g and 100%, 7,5 g and 100%, 10 g and 100%. The result showed that the treatment mycorrhizal with coconut water had an effect on seedling height, root volume, and dry weight of cocoa seeds. Mycorrhizal dose of 10 g per polybag with 50% coconut water gave the best cocoa seed yield and could increase number of leaves, seedling weight, root volume and dry weight of cocoa seedlings. Key words:Nursery, Theobroma cacao L., Mycorrhiza, Coconut water, Ultisol

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the interaction between palm oil mill effluent and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and to obtain oil palm seedlings that meet growth standards even though they are planted on peat medium. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Bina Widya Campus km12.5 Simpang Baru Village, Widya District, Pekanbaru City from September 2019 to January 2020. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of of 2 factors. The first factor is the volume of palm oil mill effluent which consists of 4 levels, namely 0 l/seed (control), 0.9 l/seed, 1.8 l/seed and 2.7 l/seed. The second factor was the dose of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0 g/seed (control), 5 g/seed, 10 g/seed and 15 g/seed. Parameters observed during the study were nutrient uptake (mg/seed), percentage of mycorrhizal infection (%), increase in height (cm), increase in number of leaves (strands), increase in bulb diameter (cm), root volume (cm3), root crown ratio and dry weight (g). The data obtained from the observations were analyzed statistically with variance, the results of the analysis of variance that had a significant effect were then analyzed further with the Least Significant Difference (BNT) test at the 5% level. The results showed that: (1). The interaction between the application of palm oil mill effluent (LCPKS) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (CMA) on peat medium affected the nutrient uptake parameters (P and K), height increase, leaf number increase, wee diameter increase, root crown ratio and seedling dry weight. Palm oil. Meanwhile, the parameters of mycorrhizal infection percentage and root volume did not show any interaction. (2). Interaction of LCPKS treatment with a volume of 1.8 l/seed and CMA at a dose of 15 g/seed gave good results for the growth of oil palm seedlings. Keywords:   Growth, oil palm nursery, peat soil, palm oil mill effluent and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of liquid organic fertilizer made ​​from tofu with NPK and to get the best dose for the growth of cocoa seedlings. This research was carried out experiments with liquid organic fertilizer combination treatment with NPK arranged according to completely randomized design ( CRD ) which consists of 6 levels : P1 = liquid organic fertilizer 200 ml +NPK 7,5 g/polybag, P2 = liquid organic fertilizer 400 ml +NPK 7,5 g/polybag, P3 = liquid organic Fertilizer 600 ml + NPK 7,5 g/polybag, P4 = liquid organic fertilizer 200 ml + NPK 15 g/polybag, P5 = liquid organic fertilizer 400 ml + NPK 15 g/polybag and P6 = liquid organic fertilizer 600 ml + NPK 15 g/polybag. Each treatment was repeated four times so that there are 24 experimental units. Parameters measured were seedling height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), stem diameter (cm), the ratio of the root crown and seedling dry weight (g). The data analysis results were significant statistical test followed by Duncun test at 5 % level. Giving a combination of liquid organic fertilizer with NPK significant effect on all parameters observed that seedling height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter, crown ratio of dry weight of roots and seeds of cocoa and a combination of liquid organic fertilizer NPK 200 ml with                7,5 g/polybag produces the best cocoa seedling growth . Keywords : cocoa , liquid organic fertilizer , NPK

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the effect of palm oil’s empty bunch fruit compost and palm oil’s leaflets mulch givingon sub soil oil palm seeds planting and determine the right dose of oil palm empty bunch fruit compost  to support oil palm’s growth in main nurseryphase. This research was conducted from May 2015 until August 2014 located at the agricultural experimental station, University of Riau. The design that used in this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 2 factors and 3 replications.The first factor  was oil palm’s empty bunch fruit compost (K) consisted of 4 levels were :  0 g (K0), 50 g (K1), 75 g (K2) and 100 g/plant unit (K4).The second factor was palm oil’s leaflets mulch (M) consisted of 3 levels were : 0 g (M0), 50 g (M1) and 100 g/pant unit (M2). The result of this research showed that the combination of palm oil’s empty bunch fruit compost and palm oil’s leaflets mulch significantly affected on leaf area, but that is not significantly affected on plant height, leaf number and  hump diameter on oil palm’s seed tenera Marihat variety growth on main nursery phase.   Keywords:palm oil’s empty bunch fruit compost, palm oil’s leaflets mulch, main nursery

Abstract

  To increase the effects of Giving wastewater of oil palm was conducted by the biopory method, waste is included into hole's biopori as food organisms in the soil, organism can change waste become fertilizer which required the young oil palm to growth. Abstract

This  research aims  to  determine  the  effect  of  provision  fertilizer  treatment  techniques, fertilizer doses and interactions, and also to determine the best treatment for the growth and production of oil palm plantations on peatlands in Rimbo  Panjang. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial, consisting of two factors, namely the first fertilizer application techniques with 3 levels i.e  spreading systems,  burying systems and striping system. Factor II, the use of fertilizers with the level 2 as recommended (Urea=1.00kg/tree, TSP=0.88 kg/tree, MOP=0.75 kg/tree) and ½ the recommended dose  (Urea=0.50kg/tree, TSP=0.44 kg/tree, MOP=0.38 kg/tree ) with four replications, in order to obtain 24 experimental  units,  which is every experimental  unit had 2 plant  so that  the  total are  48 plants. Data were analyzed statistically by analysis of variance followed by a Duncan test New Multiple Range Test at 5% level. The parameters measured were plant height accretion, stem  girth, number of leaf, number of  flowers palm  bunches, and the number of bunches. Treatment combination with spreading fertilizer application system with ½ doses showed the best results in the accretion of plant height parameters, number of flowers palm bunches, and the number of bunches.Keywords : Palm oil, fertilizer, doses

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer tablets Sigi and get the best dosage of pineapple crop production. Research has been conducted in the community garden Desa kualu Nenas Kampar District  Riau Province began in February 2014 to June 2014. The study was carried out experiments using arandomized block design (RBD) consists of 4 treatments and 6 replications, each experimental unit consisted of 6 plant. The treatment given is without fertilizer NPK (P0), NPK fertilizer Sigi 1 tablet ( 11.869 g)(P1), NPK fertilizerSigi 2 tablets (23.738 g)(P2), NPK Sigi 3 tablets (35,607 g) (P3). Parametersmeasured were age at flowering, harvesting, fruit length, fruit circle, fruit weight, plot production. The results showed that NPK fertilizer tablets Sigi different effect on the production of pineapple plants. NPK fertilizer as much as 3 Tablets Tablets Sigi equivalent to a dose of 35.607 g / plant. The best effect on flowering plant age, time of harvest, fruit length, fruit circle, fruit weight, yield per plot on pineapple plant varieties queen.  Keyword: pineapple, NPK tablet, production, peatland
