Abstract

This survey research aimed at investigating International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards of EFL Students in an English Education Department at a university in Pekanbaru, Riau. The method used was descriptive quantitative which involved 121 samples. The samples were selected by using random sampling technique from third, fifth, and seventh semesters. The questionnaire adopted from Hazamayeh (2021) used as the main instrument to collect the data. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics (the sum of score, mean and standard deviation) which then interpreted descriptively. The study revealed that the students’ mean of ISTE Standards reached 3.92 which was categorized into a Moderate level. It was measured by calculating the avarage score of the ISTE six indicators namely Creativity and Innovation; Communication and Collaboration; Research and Information Fluency; Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Decision Making; Digital Citizenship; and Technology Operations and Concepts. This “Moderate” level indicates that the EFL students are still in on going process to maximize their ability to use technology as a means of learning.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the quality testing of foam at the ARFF (Airport Rescue And Firefighting) unit to ensure that it meets the foam requirements specified in PR 30 of 2022 and as a measure of operational readiness for ARFF in dealing with incidents or accidents involving fire. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews with five informants, documentation, and literature review. The research results include recommendations for proposing fire tests based on ICAO Doc 9137 for existing foam quality testing. Support for fire testing includes the availability of equipment and human resources from two responsible units, namely ARFF and Safety & Risk, through socialization and practical training. The implications of success through foam fire test quality testing support the operational readiness of ARFF in extinguishing fires resulting from incidents or accidents by achieving the foam capabilities required by PR 30 of 2022.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran budaya sekolah dalam pembentukan identitas keislaman siswa pada jenjang pendidikan menengah. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada pentingnya sekolah sebagai agen sosialisasi dalam mentransmisikan nilai-nilai keagamaan, khususnya di lingkungan pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus pada sebuah sekolah Islam di Jakarta Timur. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik budaya sekolah seperti shalat berjamaah, pembacaan Al-Qur’an, infaq rutin, dan pembiasaan salam secara konsisten mampu membentuk identitas keislaman siswa, baik dalam aspek kesadaran nilai, sikap, maupun perilaku. Proses internalisasi nilai-nilai Islami berlangsung melalui habituasi sosial dan penguatan kolektif dalam lingkungan sekolah. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan identitas religius siswa tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh kurikulum, tetapi juga oleh budaya sekolah yang hidup dan partisipatif. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan budaya sekolah Islami perlu dikelola secara holistik untuk memperkuat karakter dan identitas siswa secara utuh.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan Proyek Strategis Nasional (PSN) sebagai instrumen percepatan pembangunan kerap menimbulkan konflik agraria dan sosial yang berdampak serius terhadap pemenuhan hak asasi manusia, khususnya hak anak sebagai kelompok rentan. Anak-anak yang hidup di wilayah PSN berpotensi kehilangan akses terhadap hunian layak, pendidikan, layanan kesehatan, serta lingkungan yang aman, dan berisiko mengalami kekerasan maupun trauma psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi pelanggaran hak asasi manusia terhadap anak dalam konflik PSN, menelaah akuntabilitas negara dalam pemenuhan kewajiban perlindungan, serta mengkaji mekanisme pemulihan dan perlindungan anak terdampak konflik pembangunan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan konseptual dan perundang-undangan, yang didukung oleh studi kepustakaan terhadap bahan hukum primer, sekunder, dan tersier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa regulasi dan praktik pelaksanaan PSN cenderung bersifat eksekutif-sentris dan kurang melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat, sehingga meningkatkan risiko pelanggaran hak anak. Mekanisme perlindungan dan pemulihan yang ada belum menyasar akar struktural permasalahan dan masih berfokus pada penanganan pascakejadian. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa perlindungan anak dalam konteks PSN harus diperkuat melalui pendekatan pencegahan, akuntabilitas negara yang lebih tegas, serta integrasi perspektif hak anak sejak tahap perencanaan hingga pelaksanaan pembangunan.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika kultur budaya masyarakat Desa Bram Itam Kanan serta peran mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (Kukerta) dalam membentuk pola pikir masyarakat desa. Permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat meliputi perlunya penguatan kesadaran sosial, kesehatan, dan kemandirian tanpa menghilangkan nilai-nilai budaya lokal yang telah mengakar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi dengan melibatkan tokoh masyarakat, perangkat desa, tokoh agama, serta warga setempat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat masih mempertahankan nilai kebersamaan, gotong royong, dan religiusitas melalui berbagai tradisi lokal. Mahasiswa Kukerta berperan aktif melalui program sosialisasi ZISWAF, edukasi pencegahan stunting, pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga, pencegahan kenakalan remaja, pelatihan public speaking, Festival Anak Sholeh, dan Tabligh Akbar. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kesehatan, kepedulian sosial, serta penguatan nilai budaya dan keagamaan sebagai fondasi pembangunan desa berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Criminal law tends to appear rigid and prioritizes formality, which ultimately creates the perception that criminal law is formulated to impose retribution. For instance, imprisonment, which is always used as a tool of retribution as stipulated in Article 10 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). Based on this perspective, law enforcement officers tend to always qualify an act as a criminal offense once it fulfills the provisions of the Criminal Code, and it consistently ends in the criminal justice process, which then results in a prison sentence. The purpose of this research is to examine the transformation of the enactment of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Indonesian Criminal Code as a significant turning point in the history of Indonesian criminal law. The normative juridical writing method is a legal literature study conducted by examining the norms of positive law as stipulated in legislation such as Law Number 1 of 1946 on Criminal Law Regulations, Law Number 73 of 1958, and Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Indonesian Criminal Code. The data in this research was collected through literature studies, with secondary legal materials in the form of books, journals, and other literature. The analysis in this research employs a conceptual and historical approach. The urgency of change arises because the old Criminal Code (WvS) is considered incomplete or unable to accommodate various issues and the evolving dimensions of new types of criminal offenses, which of course are in line with the development of thought and the aspirations of societal needs. The Criminal Code represents the embodiment of the idea of monodualistic balance, which, when implemented in Indonesia’s national criminal law, will provide valuable insights into effectiveness in legal practice.
