<![CDATA[This study investigated to find out whether or not there were any significant differences of the second level cadets’ listening ability and listening attitude using audio-visual method (video materials). By using questionnaire forty cadets were selected as the sample and equally divided into experimental and control groups. By applying pretest and posttest control group design the treatment was only given to the experimental group. The data were analyzed by using three techniques: they were the statistical analysis on measuring homogenity and normality data, independent t-test, and two-way ANOVA. Due to the research findings, it was found that (1) there was significant difference in listening ability between positive and negative attitude students who were taught by using Video materials (0.000<0.05). (2) there was significant difference in listening ability between positive and negative attitude students who were taught by using conventional technique (0.000<0.05). (3) there was significance difference in listening ability between positive and negative attitude students who were taught by using video materials and those who were taught by using conventional technique (0.000<0.05). (4) there was a significant interaction effect of Video materials and listening attitude towards the listening ability at the second level cadets of D III Lalu Lintas Angkutan Sungai Danau dan Penyeberangan (LLASDP) Palembang (0.020 < 0.05).Keywords: video materials, listening attitude, and listening ability]]>

<![CDATA[Taruna Politeknik Transportasi Sungai Danau dan Penyeberangan Palembang berasal dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia yang diasramakan. Kehidupan majemuk taruna di lingkungan asrama taruna Politeknik Transportasi Sungai Danau dan Penyeberangan Palembang tidak menutup kemungkinan menimbulkan adanya bilingualisme dan diglosia. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah taruna salah satu program studi Politeknik Transportasi Sungai Danau dan Penyeberangan Palembang yaitu program studi Manajemen Transportasi Perairan Daratan. Pengamatan dilakukan di masa pandemi corona saat diskusi antar taruna dalam situasi formal secara daring. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah metode simak dengan teknik dasar perekaman percakapan antar taruna. Kelompok diskusi dibagi menjadi dalam beberapa kondisi yaitu kelompok taruna yang seluruhnya berasal dari Sumatera Selatan, kelompok taruna yang seluruhnya berasal dari luar Sumatera Selatan dan kelompok gabungan taruna berasal dari Sumatera Selatan dan luar Sumatera Selatan. Percakapan saat diskusi berlangsung direkam sekaligus dilakukan pencatatan konteks dan hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan peristiwa tutur. analisis data melalui aktivitas percakapan taruna yang diamati, bilingualisme terjadi didalam komunikasi secara daring antara taruna prodi MTPD di PoltekTrans SDP Palembang. Wujud Bilingualisme yang ada dalam komunikasi secara daring pada taruna Prodi MTPD di PoltekTrans SDP Palembang berupa campur kode dan alih kode. Diglosia atau penggunaan dialek ragam bahasa yang memunculkan fungsi sosial tertentu tidak terjadi di dalam komunikasi diantara taruna. Penggunaan variasi bahasa yang terjadi pada taruna Poltekttans SDP Palembang tidak lepas dari pengaruh faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan bahasa tersebut. <![CDATA[Penelitian tindakan kelas dengan deskriptif kualitatif ini dilatarbelakangi oleh bahasa Inggris sebagai alat komunikasi yang sangat dibutuhkan di dunia kerja, khususnya Bahasa Inggris Maritim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris taruna dalam berkomunikasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret hingga November 2022, bertempat di Politeknik Angkutan Perairan Darat dan Penyeberangan Palembang pada Taruna tingkat II dan tingkat III Program Studi Ilmu Pelayaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan 14 Perlakuan. Teknik dan alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif untuk data berupa dokumen hasil karya siswa, daftar nilai dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh sejumlah 20 orang yang mendapat skor ˂ 70 dan 39 orang mendapat skor = 70 sehingga berdasarkan standar penilaian kampus nilai kategori B adalah 70 ke atas, maka rata-rata kemampuan Bahari Study Taruna adalah 33% untuk mendapatkan skor kategori B dengan fokus pada komunikasi SMCP (Standard Marine Communication Phrases) di atas dek, di laboratorium Bahasa Inggris Maritim dan juga di tempat lain selama 14 kali Perawatan menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan dalam kemampuan komunikasi antar taruna yang dapat dilihat dari nilai pretest dan posttest yang dapat disimpulkan nilai posttest menunjukkan bahwa 100% taruna Studi Pelayaran Politeknik Angkutan Perairan Darat dan Penyeberangan Palembang mendapatkan nilai diatas = 70.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this study is to investigate wheter Animaker Aplication can enhance students’ motivation on learning English parts of speech. The method used in this research is pre experimental design. The sample of this research are 30 students of the third semester of management study program Faculty of Economy and Business University of PGRI Palembang. In collecting the data, the writer used questionnaire sheets and direct observation. The questionnaire is used before and after the treatment which consist 10 statements with likert scale scoring. To analyze the data the writer used percentage analysis related to every single statement in the questionare. Based on the data analyzed and the finding it shows that the use Animaker application in teaching and learning parts of speech can enhance students learning motivation.]]>

<![CDATA[The Tual Ferry Terminal serves 21 routes between islands and between provinces with pioneer routes. However, at this time many people and unauthorized vehicles can easily enter the port area, causing the port to become less regulated, such as traders selling their wares in the port area, delivery / pick-up entering the port dock area. This is due to the absence of a zoning system in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number: 29 of 2016 concerning the Sterilization of Ferry Ports. So that in the activity of getting on and off of passengers and loading and unloading vehicles, there are several obstacles, among others, the absence of zoning at the port which causes unauthorized people to enter restricted areas and irregular traffic flow patterns. This research aims to; 1) Dividing Zones of Areas needed for Passengers and Vehicles 2) Regulating the Pattern of Vehicle Traffic at the Tual Ferry Port. 3) And To Determine Equipment That Can Help In Handling Zoning Arrangements at the Tual Ferry Port. The research methodology used is direct observation in the field (field research) with measurement studies and literature (literature). Then to analyze this, refer to PM Number 29 of 2016 concerning Ferry Port Sterilization. The analysis used is the zoning analysis, analysis of vehicle and passenger traffic patterns and the equipment needed to support the zone system. The results of this study are 1) That the sterilization of passengers and vehicles is a zone arrangement system at the crossing port from the accumulation of passengers and vehicles. 2) Whereas the existing conditions of the Tual Ferry Port in Maluku province are not in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 29 of 2016 concerning the Sterilization of Ferry Ports. 3) And to regulate passenger and vehicle traffic by optimizing officers and adding signs to facilitate the departure and arrival process.]]>

<![CDATA[The Kayangan Ferry Port is located in Labuhan Lombok Village, Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Kayangan Ferry Port is a ferry port organized by the Transportation Service of West Nusa Tenggara Province. The Kayangan Ferry Port serves only one route, namely the Kayangan – Poto Tano route. The Kayangan Ferry Port has a very important role in improving the economy in East Lombok Regency, especially West Nusa Tenggara Province. Based on the results of the survey in the field, it was found that several services for passengers had not been carried out properly, such as health facilities with inadequate equipment, no gangway facilities, no information service facilities such as information and visual service desks, baggage/porter officers did not use uniforms and there are no facilities for disabled/handicapped passengers and room for breastfeeding mothers. In this study, the method used to analyze existing problems is the Customer Statisfaction Index, and Importance Performance Analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the passenger satisfaction index of 64.9% of the service attributes were in quadrant I which had to be improved and improved in quality.]]>

<![CDATA[Palembang is the capital city of South Sumatra Province, geographically the city of Palembang is divided by the Musi river into two parts, namely across the ilir in the north and across the ulu in the south. There is the Ampera Bridge which is the icon of the city of Palembang which is in the middle of these two areas. This provides many benefits for the city of Palembang, so the city government tries to maximize the potential of utilizing the Musi river to improve the welfare of the people of Palembang City. Sailing safety is a condition in a safe condition. To achieve this, supervision of ship operators can be carried out, while shipping safety is defined as a condition where safety and security requirements are met when sailing. Safety equipment on the KM tourism boat. Segentar nature is needed both in terms of quantity and condition, because this ship is classified as an old ship that is still operating. <![CDATA[The Kuala Tungkal Ferry Port is located in Tungkal I Village, Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, Jambi Province. Kuala Tungkal Ferry Port is a ferry port organized by the Department of Transportation of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. The Kuala Tungkal Ferry Port serves two routes, namely the pioneering Kuala Tungkal - Dabo Singkep route and the Kuala Tungkal - Telaga Punggur commercial route. Based on the results of the survey in the field, it was found that several services for service users had not been carried out properly, such as the unavailability of evacuation route instructions, evacuation gathering points and emergency telephone numbers, unavailability of port plans/layouts, inappropriate breastfeeding mother room facilities and passenger lane facilities. (gangway) pedestrians and vehicles that have not been separated. This study uses the Customer Statisfaction Index method to determine the level of overall service use satisfaction by looking at the level of importance of service facility instruments, Gap Performance - Importance to determine the gap between service user expectations and perceived service quality and Importance Performance Analysis Quadrant Mapping for to find out the attributes that are the main priorities for improving service quality. Based on the results of the analysis of the Customer Statisfaction Index, the satisfaction index of service users is 69.74% and is included in the satisfied category. Based on the results of the Gap Performance-Importance analysis, the highest gap value is (-1.32) on the attribute of a telephone number sticker for complaints of security disturbances so that passengers can submit complaints about security at the port. Based on the results of the Importance Performance Analysis Quadrant Mapping analysis, there are 7 attributes that are in quadrant I as the main priority for improvement so that the level of satisfaction of service users can increase.]]>
