Abstract

One popular image security technique is image encryption. This research proposes an image encryption technique that consists of three encryption layers, i.e. bit-shift encryption, chaos-based encryption, and stream encryption. The chaos algorithm used is Arnold's chaotic map, while the stream cipher algorithm used is RC4. Each layer has different cryptology characteristics in order to obtain safer image encryption. The characteristics of cryptology are permutation, confusion, diffusion, and substitution. The combination of the proposed encryption method aims to secure images against various attacks, especially attacks on statistics and differentials. The encryption method testing is done by various measuring instruments such as statistical analysis, i.e. entropy information, avalanche effect, and histogram, differential analysis, i.e. UACI and NPCR, visual analysis using PSNR and SSIM, and bit error ratio. Based on the results of experiments that the encryption method that we propose can work excellently based on various measurement instruments. The decryption process can also work perfectly this is evidenced by the ∞ value based on PSNR, and zero value based on SSIM and BER.

Abstract

Social media is a medium that is often used by someone to express themselves. These various problems on social media have encouraged research in sentiment analysis to become one of the most popular research fields. Various methods are used in sentiment analysis research, ranging from classic machine learning (ML) to deep learning. Researchers nowadays often use deep learning methods in sentiment analysis research because they have advantages in processing large amounts of data and providing high accuracy. However, deep learning also has limitations on the longer computational side due to the complexity of its network architecture. K-nearest neighbor (KNN) is a robust ML method but does not yet provide high-accuracy results in multi-lingual sentiment analysis research, so a hyperparameter tuning KNN approach is proposed. The results showed that using the proposed method, the accuracy level improved to 98.37%, and the classification error (CE) improved to 1.63%. The model performed better than other ML and even deep learning methods. The results of this study indicate that KNN using hyperparameter tuning is a method that contributes to the sentiment analysis classification model using the Twitter dataset.

Abstract

Scorch occurrence during the production of flexible polyurethane foam has been a menace that consistently, jeopardize a foam’s integrity and resilience. It leads to foam suppression and compactness integrity failure due to scorch. There is always the increased likelihood of scorching, and makes crucial the utilization of methods that seek to avert it. Studies predict that the formation of foam constituent processes via optimization using machine learning have adequately trained models to effectively identify scorch occurrence during the profiling in the polyurethane foam production. Our study utilizes the random forest (RF) ensemble with feature selection (FS) and data balancing technique to identify production predictors. Study yields accuracy of 0.9998 with F1-score of 0.9819. Model yields 2-distinct cases for (non)-occurrence of scorch respectively, and the ensemble demonstrates that it can effectively and efficiently predict the occurrence of scorch in the production of flexible polyurethane foam manufacturing process.
