Abstract

Processing of agricultural products is important to increase added value, especially when production is abundant and prices are low. The increase in added value in the form of various corn products can stimulate the development of micro, small and medium enterprises. Community empowerment through increasing post-harvest knowledge and capabilities in processing various corn products in particular can be the basis for community economic development. One of the processed corn products that consumers like is Corn Tortilla. The product processing process with appropriate technology is quite simple so that it has the opportunity to be adopted by rural communities, especially corn farmers as a home industry. The purpose of this PKM activity is to develop the business of corn farmers in Pematang Simalungun Village into an economically independent business through corn tortilla processing activities, design of boiled corn milling machine, design of ampia machine, spinner machine, and production training. The approach method used is the method of education, design, production training, business management training, and mentoring. The specific target achieved was to produce a boiled corn milling machine to increase the effectiveness of abundant corn production into corn tortilla products and business management capabilities. As a result, corn farmers can process abundant agricultural products into Corn Tortilla products

Abstract

Located in Kelurahan Belawan I, Kecamatan Medan Belawan, Kampung Nelayan Lingkungan XII is a coastal area where the community primarily engages in fishing, boat rental services, and producing shrimp paste (terasi) from small shrimp (udang rebon). Observations and discussions with Kelompok Usaha Lestari, a local group dedicated to shrimp paste production, revealed that traditional methods, such as using mortars and pestles, are still prevalent. This manual process significantly limits production capacity and results in inconsistent product quality that deteriorates quickly over time. This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to address these issues by improving production efficiency and enhancing product quality through the integration of appropriate technology. The initiative includes the provision of a grinding machine tailored for processing small shrimp, training on product standardization, and continuous guidance to ensure effective use of the technology. The implementation of this technological solution has proven effective in increasing production capacity and ensuring higher consistency and quality of the shrimp paste. These improvements enable Kelompok Usaha Lestari to compete more effectively in the market and contribute to their long-term economic sustainability.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya permasalahan pada manajemen laboratorium di SMK Negeri 1 Beringin dimana penjadwalan yang masih dilakukan secara manual dan hanya disampaikan melalui grup kelas. Pengelolaan laboratorium juga belum maksimal seperti tidak adanya pencatatan data perlengkapan laboratorium yang berakibat kurangnya tanggung jawab terhadap perlengkapan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sebuah sistem informasi manajemen laboratorium berbasis web yang dapat diakses dengan mudah dan akurat. Data-data seperti penjadwalan penggunaan laboratorium dan kelengkapan pada laboratorium, juga tercatat dengan baik dan tersistem. Rancang bangun sistem ini menggunakan model pengembangan Waterfall, yang terdiri dari tahapan communication, planning, modelling, construction, dan deployment. Validitas dari sistem hasil pengembangan diuji menggunakan teori validitas Aiken (Aiken™s V) dengan angka indeks validitas Aiken sebesar 0,677. Hasil uji validitas dari ahli sistem dan uji validitas dari ahli praktisi terhadap 8 aspek menunjukkan bahwa sistem sudah dapat dinyatakan valid, karena hasil uji validitas menunjukkan lebih tinggi dari 0,677.Kata Kunci: sistem informasi, manajemen, laboratorium, web Abstract: This research was conducted because there were problems with laboratory management at SMK Negeri 1 Beringin where scheduling was still done manually and only delivered through class groups. Laboratory management is also not optimal, as there is no data recording on laboratory equipment, which results in a lack of responsibility for the equipment. The aim of this research is to develop a web-based laboratory management information system that can be accessed easily and accurately. Data such as laboratory usage scheduling and laboratory equipment are also recorded well and in a system. The design of this system uses the Waterfall development model, which consists of communication, planning, modeling, construction and deployment stages. The validity of the developed system was tested using Aiken's validity theory (Aiken's V) with an Aiken validity index of 0.677. The results of validity tests from system experts and validity tests from practitioner experts on 8 aspects show that the system can be declared valid, because the validity test results show higher than 0.677.Keyword: information system, management, laboratory, web

Abstract

Merancang dan membuat aplikasi e-learning berbasis C++ dan Unity yang mudah digunakan dan interaktif untuk belajar online. Berbagai fitur aplikasi ini mendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh, seperti manajemen tugas, forum diskusi, unggahan materi, umpan balik real-time, dan sistem penilaian online. Namun, ada beberapa masalah dengan integrasi C++ dan Unity, terutama dalam sinkronisasi data real-time antara frontend dan backend. Selain itu, guru dan siswa harus memiliki pemahaman yang kuat tentang teknologi agar dapat memanfaatkan sepenuhnya fitur aplikasi. Meskipun aplikasi ini memiliki banyak potensi untuk digunakan dalam pendidikan di era digital, keberhasilannya sangat bergantung pada kesiapan pengguna dan kemampuan teknologi. Pengembang harus terus meningkatkan dan memperbarui berdasarkan umpan balik pengguna dan mempertimbangkan untuk memasukkan fitur tambahan seperti analitik belajar dan AI untuk meningkatkan efektivitas belajar.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has brought significant changes to library management, shifting from conventional systems toward the Smart Library concept, which is more modern, efficient, and interactive. This study aims to implement fast-scanning technology based on QR Code and RFID in the management system for book collections, borrowing, and returning processes at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the prototyping model, which includes stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and limited testing within the school environment. The implementation results show an increase in library service efficiency by up to 65% compared to the manual method, along with a reduction in recording errors and improved convenience for students in locating and borrowing books. Therefore, the application of a Smart Library system utilizing fast-scanning technology has proven to be effective and feasible as an innovative digital solution to support the transformation of library services in vocational schools
