Abstract

An inclusive labor market for persons with disabilities is one of the priority issues discussed in the G20, especially in the Employment Working Group (EWG) field. Typically, the number of individuals with disabilities participating in the labor market is lower than that of their non-disabled counterparts, mainly due to the company’s reluctance to hire disabled workers. This study aims to investigate the impact of disability on participation in the inclusive labor market. This research uses panel data from four countries - Indonesia, Denmark, France, and Ireland - spanning the years 2016 to 2021, sourced from the International Labor Organization (ILO). The variables used to determine the factors that influence the participation of individuals with disabilities in the labor market are their educational level, the number of disabled individuals in rural areas and their average income. By using the Fixed Effect Model, it is known that people with disabilities who have received education and the number of people with disabilities living in urban areas have a positive and significant effect on the participation of people with disabilities in the labor market. Meanwhile, the average income of people with disabilities has a negative and insignificant effect on the participation of people with disabilities in the labor market. Efforts to increase the participation of people with disabilities in the labor market are important as welfare reform, indicators of the success of inclusive development and poverty alleviation among groups of people with disabilities.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia are one of the largest informal sectors that absorb a significant amount of the workforce, and it is hoped that they can contribute to the growth of the export market. Bank Indonesia, as the Central Bank, continues to make efforts to provide the best contribution in order to enhance the role of MSMEs in the economy. This research aims to determine the relationship between product innovation, demand, social capital, product innovation, and culture with the export potential of MSMEs under the supervision of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in Bali Province. The sample size in this research consists of 53 supervised MSMEs, divided into two categories: export and non-export MSMEs. The sampling technique used in this research is saturation sampling. Data collection was conducted through interviews, non-participant observation, and in-depth interviews. Orange data mining was used as the data analysis method in this research. The results of the research indicate that innovation, culture, and e-commerce have a very weak correlation with export potential, while social capital and demand have a strong correlation with the export potential of MSMEs under the supervision of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in Bali Province

Abstract

Economic development that only focuses on growth often has negative impacts, encouraging the emergence of the concept of sustainable development that balances economic, environmental, and social aspects. This concept, supported by the United Nations and various parties, is the basis for sustainable development goals until 2030, covering human, social economic, and environmental development. Sustainability, introduced in 1987, integrates environmental, social, and economic aspects or the triple bottom line in business standards and practices. The development of sustainable banking is still in its infancy, with some banks starting to adopt environmental and social policies. This research examines risk policies to support sustainable development in commercial banking through an analysis of 50 articles. The results show that economic and social efficiency, stability, and environmental contribution are important in assessing bank sustainability. Internal factors such as risk management and financial health, as well as external factors such as regulations and macroeconomic conditions are very influential.

Abstract

Empowering farmers through the implementation of the Simantri Program is one of the regional agricultural development policies in Bali Province. The program aims to achieve long-term self-sufficiency in food, feed, organic fertilizer, energy (biogas), and farmer welfare. This study focuses on identifying the important variables that contribute to the sustainability of the Simantri program, with the research conducted in Tabanan Regency. The identification of key variables was done through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving 19 stakeholders, and a questionnaire was also used to gather data from Gapoktan as a control measure for the FGD results. The collected data was analyzed using the MICMAC (Matrix of Cross Impact Multiplications Applied to a Classification) method to determine the variables that influence and/or depend on the sustainability of the Simantri Program. The analysis results revealed several crucial variables out of the 13 identified, namely seed assistance, fertilizer prices, natural capital, customary regulations, and local wisdom, all of which significantly impact the sustainability of the Simantri program.

Abstract

This study explores the global academic landscape on inflation expectations and persistence through a bibliometric analysis aimed at informing fiscal strategy design at the subnational level. A total of 729 articles published between 2010-2025 were extracted from the Dimensions Database and analyzed using VOS Viewer. Bibliographic coupling, citation, and co-authorship analyses were conducted on the full dataset, while a filtered subset of 200 articles focusing on inflation expectations was used for keyword co-occurrence mapping. The findings indicate that the literature remains concentrated in developed economies, particularly the United States and the United Kingdom. However, emerging contributions from the Global South are gaining prominence. Thematic trends reveal growing attention to expectation anchoring, fiscal restraint, and information asymmetry, reflecting a shift toward more behavioral and institutional interpretations of inflation. Despite these developments, the incorporation of inflation expectations into local fiscal policy remains limited. Policy recommendations include integrating inflation expectations into fiscal forecasts, adopting scenario-based planning, and enhancing macroeconomic modeling capacity at the regional level. This research contributes to bridging global inflation theory with the practical needs of decentralized public finance systems.

Abstract

The threat of climate change, justice and also inequality are subjective proxies in the SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs). Likewise with free trade carried out by every country in the world to meet the needsof society. Free trade began to appear when the rounds at the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Dohaaimed toremove trade distortions in the international trade regime, so as to encourage an increase in world trade. Therace of countries in the world to pursuewealth and prosperity has several impacts on the environment, one ofwhich is global warming caused by greenhouse gases. The main greenhouse gas thatcontinues to increase iscarbon dioxide. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Pollution Haven Hypothesis (PHH) model in explainingthe relationship between foreign investment, trade openness, income per capita, renewable energy consumption,non-renewable energy consumption and urban population on the environmental quality of WTO membercountries. This research is an associative quantitative research conductedon WTO members with a sample size of108 countries. Data collection was obtainedthrough the World Bank Index which was then analyzed using theAutoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method. The results of the study showthat the Pollution Haven Hypothesismodel notoccurs in WTO member. However, in the long run the investment has a reduced emission impact on thehost country. This is proof of the existence of the Halo Pollution Hypothesis.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the digitization process in service systems and manufacturing industries in most countries, although at varying speeds. This was triggered by social distancing requirements and other COVID-19-related regulations imposed by governments around the world, including Indonesia. Digital technology is widely regarded as a promising means of promoting gender equality in education, the labor market, access to finance, and health care. This study is aimed at examining whether there are significant differences between female and male workers in the labor market and the digital access they have during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design used is quantitative. The objects in this study are female and male workers in the province of Bali.  In general, the results here confirm indications of increasing gender inequality in Bali. Gender issues are often ignored in gender-related research because technology is believed to be gender-neutral. Male workers have higher productivity than female workers in the labor market. The gender approach argues that technology is not neutral, but dependent on culture. Technology reflects the society that creates it. Access to (and effective use of) technology is affected by a spectrum of exclusions that intersect including gender, ethnicity, age, social class, geography, and disability. The power relations that exist in society determine the enjoyment of the benefits of ICTs, therefore they are not gender-neutral.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of foreign direct investment (FDI) and labor on inclusive development in Indonesia. Although national economic development continues to show a positive trend, the phenomenon of economic inequality and poverty is still a complex and major challenge in development in Indonesia. This shows that high economic growth will not necessarily be in line with the equitable distribution of benefits to all levels of society. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that economic growth is inclusive and able to reach all levels of society. In this context, the role of foreign capital is expected not only to increase economic growth, but also to open up wide job opportunities for the community. This study uses a quantitative approach with a data collection method through observation of secondary data obtained from publications of the World Bank, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and journals during the research period. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression to determine the influence of foreign investment, manufacturing and unemployment variables on economic development indicators in Indonesia. The results of the study show that foreign investment and manufacturing have an influence on inclusive development in Indonesia. Thus, optimizing the use of foreign capital and increasing the manufacturing sector can be one of the strategies in realizing inclusive and sustainable economic development.
