Abstract

Background: Pregnancy exercise is a therapy to prepare pregnant women either physically or mentally, so that the delivery can take place spontaneously. The delivery process is a process of releasing the fetus from the uterus to the outside of the uterus through the birth canal. This study aimed to find the correlation between pregnancy exercises and delivery process in mothers giving birth. Method: This was a descriptive-correlative study with cross sectional approach. The data sampling used purposive sampling technique. The population in this study was all mothers who attended the pregnancy exercises in period from January to December 2014 in the region of Sumowono Health Center Semarang Regency. The samples were 132 respondents. The data analysis used Chi Square test. Results: The results of this study indicated that the mothers who attended the pregnancy exercises regularly and had spontaneous delivery were 88.2%. While the mothers who attended the pregnancy exercises regularly and did not have spontaneous delivery were 56.4%. Based on the Chi Square test obtained p-value of 0.000 < α (0.05) so that it could be concluded that there was a significant correlation between pregnancy exercises and delivery process in mothers giving birth at SumowonoHealth Center Semarang Regency. Conclusion: It shows that by implementing pregnancy exercises on a regular basis can help the delivery process. Therefore, every pregnant woman is expected to attend and participate in the pregnancy class in their neighborhood.

Abstract

Lanjut usia adalah suatu proses yang alami dari tumbuh kembang. Semua orang akan mengalami proses menjadi tua dan masa tua merupakan masa hidup manusia yang terakhir. Tingginya usia harapan hidup mengakibatkan peningkatan populasi lansia di Indonesia. Hal ini menjadi salah satu penyebab terjadinya transisi epidemiologi dari penyakit menular ke peningkatan penyakit tidak menular (PTM). Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kesehatan lansia ialah dengan melaksanakan aktifitas fisik ringan secara rutin. Hingga saat ini hanya sedikit fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan yang menyelenggarakan pelayanan kesehatan terpadu untuk lansia sehingga permasalahan lansia menderita penyakit tidak menular belum tertangani secara optimal. Peran serta perguruan tinggi Universitas Ngudi Waluyo dalam menjalankan Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi salah satunya pengabdian masyarakat, sehingga dapat mendekatkan diri kepada masyarakat sehingga dapat mengenal, mengetahui dan merasakan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat. Sejalan dengan permasalahan yang dihadapi dan kondisi di masyarakat khususnya pada masyarakat kelompok usia lanjut (60 – 74 tahun), maka kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan metode inisiasi program kegiatan senam lansia sebagai langkah pencegahan penyakit tidak menular yang disertai dengan edukasi terkait penyakit tidak menular pada lansia, factor risiko penyakit tidak menular, pencegahan serta pengendaliannya. Kata kunci: PTM, senam lansia

Abstract

Prolonged labor causes of prenatal death, two and a half times bigger than normal birth. Some researches show that pregnancy gymnastic can shorten the second stage of labor,  the gymnastic decrease the incidences of birth which need a further treatment four times, also decrease the stimulation in the first stage of labor as four and a half times. This research aims to develop an information media about pregnancy gymnastic for the pregnant women. The method was action research. First step, found the condition and comprehension level of the pregnant women about the second stage of labor and the advantages of pregnancy gymnastic, then compiled an information media. The second step did the premodel implementation (action), then finishing the model of media became to leaflets. Furthermore, leaflet effectiveness tests were carried out on 58 pregnant women, and the results were analyzed by the Wilcoxon test. Some respondents have less comprehension (73,3%) about the duration of the second stage of labor and the advantages of pregnancy gymnastic. Based on the results, the researcher made a model information media in the form of leaflet containing  the stages of labor and pregnancy exercise. Based on the results of the data analysis, there were significant differences in the level of knowledge before and after giving leaflets about the stages of labor and pregnancy exercise in pregnant women (p <0.00001).

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) including the most causes of death in the world including Indonesia.  Adolescence is one of the periods that determine the pattern of formation of health status in adulthood. Risk behaviors generally begin in the teenage period. Risk factors for unhealthy lifestyles in adolescents are caused by many factors, one of which is knowledge. Knowledge or cognitive is a domain that is very influential on a person's actions or behavior. The objective of the study was to assesknowledge about NCDs and behavioural risk factors in adolescents. This research uses descriptive method with cross sectional approach and data collection is done by using a questionnaire. The sample in this study was taken purposively from SMAN 2 Ungaran, SMAN 1 Bergas, and SMA Muhammadiyah Sumowono as many as 146 students. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the most percentage were respondents who had good knowledge about non-communicable diseases that was equal to 46.3%. Nevertheless there are still many respondents who have a fairly good knowledge of 41.8% and as many as 11.0% of respondents still have poor knowledge. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase the knowledge of high school adolescents about non-communicable diseases from schools through collaboration with relevant parties.

Abstract

The nutritional status of adolescents in Central Java is still not balanced because there are still adolescents who require low nutritional status and obesity and even achieve nutrition due to excessive nutritional status. This study discusses the nutritional status of adolescent high school students in Semarang Regency. This study aims to determine the nutritional status of adolescent high school students in Semarang Regency. The research design used is descriptive, using a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 138 students using cluster random sampling techniques. Grouping nutritional status data using BMI/U and z-score categories, processing this data using univariate tests. The results showed that most high school students had normal nutritional status, that is 104 students (75.36%), 28 students fat (20.29%), and 6 students obesity (4.35%). The problem of excess nutrition mostly occurs in adolescent girls, namely the obesity nutritional status of 5 students (6.3%) and 17 students fat (21.5%). From the results of this study it can be concluded that the nutritional problems that occur are obesity and obesity which still have a fairly high percentage of adolescent girls.

Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) is a disease that is transmitted and is not transmitted to other people with any form of contact. One of the health problems of national and global concern. PTM is currently at risk for all people, including children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. The purpose of this study is to describe the behavior of food consumption habits as a risk factor for non-communicable diseases in adolescents. The population in this study were Semarang District High School students in the 2019/2020 Academic Year, while the sample in this study amounted to 372 students consisting of SMA N 01 Bringin 151 and SMA N 01 Bergas 221 students. The research design used is descriptive, using the Cross-Sectional method that is research in which the measurement of variables is carried out only once at the same time.The results of this study indicate that for risk factors based on gender are 246 people (66.1%) and men as many as 126 people (33.9%). Fruit consumption behavior is less as many as 247 people (66.4%) and enough fruit consumption behavior is 125 people (33.6%). The consumption behavior of vegetables that are lacking is 239 people (64.2%) and vegetable consumption is sufficient as many as 133 people (35.88%). The consumption behavior of sweet foods is often as many as 237 people (63.7%) and the behavior of consumption of sweet foods that are rarely as many as 135 people (36.3%). The consumption behavior of salty foods is often as many as 181 people (48.7%) and the behavior of consumption of salty foods are rarely as many as 191 people (51.3%). Fatty food consumption behavior which is often 207 people (55.6%) and rare fat food consumption behavior 165 people (44.4%).

Abstract

Incidence of non-communicable diseases is a health problem that causes morbidity, disability, mortality, and incurring huge costs of healthcare. The incidence of non- communicable diseases it’s not only in adults and elders, but also in the adolescent age group. Efforts to reduce the incidence rate of non-communicable diseases is the implementation behavior prevention of non-communicable diseases that are CERDIK and PHBS behavior. Improvement behavior prevention of non-communicable diseases can be influenced by health literacy level that includes of aspects access information, knowledge, understanding, and decision-making related to health information. This study was an observational analytic, with a cross-sectional design, sampling technique used Snowball sampling, total sample were 387 adolescents aged 15 – 18 years. The instrument used a questionnaire, the type of analysis was Chi-Square test Based on data analysis, there is 55% of respondents with high health literacy level, good categories for health information access (61,5%), good categories knowledge (55,3%), good categories understanding (46,3%), could take decision-related to health information (50,9%), and had a good behavior prevention of non-communicable diseases (46%). The value of chi-squares test is p = 0.000, which is a significant relationship between the health literacy level and behavior prevention for non-communicable diseases. From the results can be include that health literacy level in adolescents affects the implementation behavior prevention of non-communicable diseases.

Abstract

The lifestyle of adolescents in consuming salty and fatty foods and smoking behavior can trigger hypertension. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a change in the activities carried out, everything is online and learning activities have had an effect on the formation of a new youth lifestyle pattern. This study aims to describe the risk behavior of hypertension in adolescents in Semarang Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic. The chosen method is descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. The sample selected by adolescents who attended high school in Semarang Regency were 121 respondents who were taken by quota sampling, using the considerations of respondents who filled in data on date of birth, sex, blood pressure, weight, and height up to the specified limit. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire through Google forms. The results of the study showed that 14.0% had smoking habits, 54,5% had sweet consumption habits, 52.1% had salty consumption habits, 47.9% had fatty food habits, 29.8% had the habit of not consuming vegetables as much as 67.8% had a habit of not consuming fruit, as much as 23.1% have a habit of consuming fast food, as much as 38.8% have a habit of not doing routine physical activity, as much as 34.7% have a habit of not getting enough sleep, as much as 55.4% did not have a balanced diet to maintain weight, and as many as 11.6% did not manage stress. The results showed that 47.9% of respondents had abnormal pressure, with details of 32 (26.4%) respondents included in that pre-hypertension category, and as many as 26 (21.5%) respondents had experienced hypertension. Therefore, it is necessary to take preventive measures to control blood pressure by avoiding or reducing various risk factors. Keywords: behavior, hypertension, adolescents ABSTRAK Gaya hidup remaja dalam mengkonsumsi makanan asin dan berlemak serta perilaku merokok dapat menjadi pemicu timbulnya hipertensi. Sejak pandemi Covid-19 terjadi perubahan aktivitas yang dilakukan, semua serba online dan kegiatan belajar berpengaruh pada pembentukan pola gaya hidup remaja yang baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk menggambarkan perilaku berisiko hipertensi pada remaja di Kabupaten Semarang pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang dipilih dekriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel yang dipilih remaja yang bersekolah SMA yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Semarang sebanyak 121 responden yang diambil dengan quota sampling, dengan menggunakan pertimbangan responden yang mengisi data tanggal lahir, jenis kelamin, tekanan darah, berat badan dan tinggi badan sampai dengan batas jumlah yang ditentukan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner melalui google form. Hasil penelitian remaja didapatkan sebanyak 14,0% mempunyai kebiasaan merokok, sebanyak 54,5% mempunyai kebiasaan konsumsi manis, sebanyak 52,1% mempunyai kebiasaan konsumsi asin, sebanyak 47,9% mempunyai kebiasaan konsumsi makanan berlemak, sebanyak 29,8% mempunyai kebiasaan tidak konsumsi sayur, sebanyak 67,8% mempunyai kebiasaan tidak konsumsi buah, sebanyak 23,1% mempunyai kebiasaan konsumsi makanan cepat saji, sebanyak 38,8% mempunyai kebiasaan tidak aktivitas fisik rutin, sebanyak 34,7% mempunyai kebiasaan tidur tidak cukup, sebanyak 55,4% tidak melakukan diet seimbang untuk mempertahankan berat badan, dan sebanyak 11,6% tidak melakukan pegelolaan stress. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 47,9% responden memiliki tekanan tidak normal, dengan rincian sebanyak 32 (26,4%) responden termasuk dalam kategori pre hipertensi, dan sebanyak 26 (21,5%) responden sudah mengalami kejadian hipertensi. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya upaya tindakan pencegahan agar bisa mengendalikan tekanan darahnya dengan menghindari atau mengurangi berbagai faktor risikonya. Abstract

Hygiene food equipment is one of the important things in determining the quality of a food. Food equipment will have an impact on the quality of the food to be made. Based on data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the prevalence of diarrhea in 2018 was 37.88% or around 1,516,438 cases. Food Born Disease is still a public health problem in Indonesia. Food safety is a public need, because safe food will protect and prevent disease or other health problems. This study aims to describe the hygiene and sanitation equipment used by food vendors in traditional markets in Semarang Regency. This research is descriptive in nature by determining the sample using purposive sampling technique, as many as 108 food vendors in traditional markets in Semarang district. Data were obtained using a questionnaire with observation and interview methods, and data were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of hygiene and sanitation for processing and serving food in traditional markets in Semarang Regency does not meet health requirements. ABSTRAK                 Hygiene peralatan makanan menjadi salah satu hal penting dalam menentukan kualitas suatu makanan. Peralatan makanan akan berdampak pada kualitas makanan yang akan dibuat. Berdasarkan data Kementreian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia prevalensi diare pada tahun 2018 sebanyak 37,88% atau sekitar 1.516.438 kasus. Penyakit akibat makanan (Food Born Disease) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia. Keamanan makanan merupakan kebutuhan masyarakat, karena makanan yang aman akan melindungi dan mencegah terjadinya penyakit atau gangguan kesehatan lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran hygiene sanitasi peralatan yang digunakan pedagang penjual makanan di pasar tradisional di Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan sampel diambil dengan teknik Quota Sampling, sebanyak 108 pedagang makanan di Pasar Tradisional di Kabupaten Semarang. Data diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner dengan metode observasi dan wawancara, dan data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan penerapan hygiene dan sanitasi peralatan pengolah dan penyajian makanan jajanan di Pasar Tradisional di Kabupaten Semarang belum memenuhi syarat kesehatan.

Abstract

Current health burden shows a shift in trends from communicable diseases to increasing non-communicable diseases (NCD). Therefore it is very important if health services are directed to promotive and preventive efforts, such as through health promotion. Teen Health Survey results show increasing obesity disorders, smoking cases, symptoms of diabetes mellitus and hypertension among students. At present, the risk of noncommunicable diseases has already affected young people of school age. Noting this condition, the formation of Posbindu Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) in schools is considered to be a solution as a step to detect and control PTM risk factors in adolescents. Community service activities DUREN GELIS (Posbindu Adolescent for Healthy Millennial Generation) as a Detection and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases in School Age Adolescents aims to reduce the number of non-communicable diseases in adolescents through early detection of the risk of non-communicable diseases. This activity begins with the preparation phase to obtain an overview of the partners' health conditions followed by the transfer of knowledge related to non-communicable diseases and the postbindu in stages I and II. In stage 2 an initiation or formation of a school health cadre of 23 students was carried out, followed by an early PTM risk detection skills training activity using several medical devices. This activity takes place from January to April 2020. Community service activities DUREN GELIS (Posbindu Adolescent for Healthy Millennial Generation) as a Detection and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases in School Age Adolescents has a positive influence on students' knowledge of non-communicable and posbindu diseases, things this is evidenced by the increase in the number of students in the good knowledge category and the sustainability of the program implementation for partners which is held once a month every Friday the first weekABSTRAK Beban kesehatan pada saat ini menunjukkan adanya pergeseran tren dari penyakit menular menjadi meningkatnya penyakit tidak menular atau non-communicable diseases (NCD). Maka dari itu sangat penting jika pelayanan kesehatan diarahkan ke upaya-upaya promotif dan preventif, seperti lewat promosi kesehatan. Hasil Survei Kesehatan Remaja menunjukkan makin meningkatnya gangguan obesitas, kasus merokok, gejala diabetes mellitus serta hipertensi dikalangan pelajar. Saat ini, resiko penyakit tidak menular sudah menyerang kaum remaja usia sekolah. Memperhatikan kondisi seperti ini, pembentukan Posbindu Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) di sekolah dirasa dapat menjadi solusi sebagai langkah deteksi dan pengendalian faktor risiko PTM pada remaja. Kegiatan pengambdian kepada masyarakat DUREN GELIS (Posbindu Remaja untuk Generasi Milenial Sehat) sebagai Langkah Deteksi dan Pengendalian Penyakit Tidak Menular pada Remaja Usia Sekolah bertujuan untuk menurunkan angka penyakit tidak meular pada remaja melalui deteksi dini risiko penyakit tidak menular. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan tahap persiapan untuk memperoleh gambaran kondisi kesehatan mitra dilanjutkan dengan transfer knowledge terkait penyakit tidak menular dan posbindu pada kegiatan tahap I dan II. Pada tahap 2 juga dilakukan inisiasi atau pembentukan kader kesehatan sekolah yang berjumlah 23 orang siswa, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan pelatihan keterampilan deteksi dini risiko PTM mempergunakan beberapa alkes. Kegiatan ini berlansung dari bulan januari hingga april 2020. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat DUREN GELIS (Posbindu Remaja untuk Generasi Milenial Sehat) sebagai Langkah Deteksi dan Pengendalian Penyakit Tidak Menular pada Remaja Usia Sekolah memberikan pengaruh positif pada pengetahuan siswa terhadap penyakit tidak menular dan posbindu, hal ini terbukti dengan peningkatan jumlah siswa dengan kategori pengetahuan baik dan keberlanjutan pelaksanaan program pada mitra yang dilaksanakan sebulan sekali setiap hari jumat minggu pertama.
