Abstract

Understanding pro-environmental behavior in sustainable tourism is crucial for aligning marketing with traveler values. This study advances the behavioral discourse by applying the Value–Identity–Personal Norm (VIP) model, examining how destination social responsibility (DSR) moderates millennial travelers’ green behavior in natural tourism. A sample of 202 millennials visiting ten ecotourism sites in Malang Raya was analyzed using SEM-PLS 3.0. Results show that altruistic and biospheric values significantly shape environmental self-identity, which in turn reinforces personal norms. Both green trust and DSR significantly influence pro-environmental behavior, while DSR strengthens the link between personal norms and eco-behavior. These findings reveal how perceived responsibility at the destination level activates moral obligations and trust, ultimately enhancing sustainable actions. Practically, tourism stakeholders must not only protect ecological value but also build visible, credible responsibility efforts—lest they risk eroding the very norms that drive millennial environmental stewardship.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the growing investment interest among Generation Z, despite persistently low levels of Islamic financial literacy, particularly in Malang City. The research examines the influence of investment knowledge, perception of return, and pocket-money management on investment interest in the Islamic capital market. A quantitative approach was employed, distributing questionnaires to 166 Generation Z respondents residing in Malang. Data were analysed with SPSS version 25.0 through instrument validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroskedasticity), and multiple-linear-regression analysis. The results show that all three independent variables, both individually and simultaneously, have a significant effect on investment interest. Among them, pocket-money management emerges as the most dominant factor. These findings underscore the importance of enhancing Islamic financial literacy, shaping realistic return expectations, and strengthening young people’s ability to manage their pocket money as strategic efforts to boost their participation in the Islamic capital market.

Abstract

A phenomenon that is increasingly prevalent in Indonesia is the increasingly high unemployment rate. This is partly due to the low absorption rate for school freshgraduates who are not equipped with entrepreneurial skills, so this study seeks to explain the Eco-preneur system applied to the Raudhatul Madinah Entrepreneur Islamic boarding school educational institution as a form of cultivating the entrepreneurial character of students. This study uses a qualitative method through a phenomenological approach. In this approach, the researcher uses experienced and knowledgeable resource persons, namely the founder, caregivers, and students of the Raudhatul Madinah Islamic Boarding School. The results of the study explain that the Ecopreneur system applied in the pesantren environment is manifested in 3 (three) forms, including: (1) Eco-Innovation through the integrated organic farm system including land conversion, making organic probiotics etc., and radical innovation which includes innovation of pesantren organic satay products; (2) Eco-Commitment through the commitment of the pesnatren to maintain, protect, and not use synthetic materials; and (3) Eco-Opportunity which is reflected through the introduction of pesantren organic products.

Abstract

The campaign to switch to electric vehicles (EVs) has been reinforced to reduce global air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. This study focuses on expanding the theory of planned behavior by adding external factors (charging facilities and vehicle performance) and individual factors (environmental concerns and knowledge), leading to green purchase behavior for electric vehicles. Data were collected from 239 respondents who use electric vehicles in East Java, Indonesia, and analyzed using Smart PLS. The results showed that Attitude, Subjective Norm, Knowledge, and Vehicle Performance affected Green purchase intention for Electric Vehicles (GPIEV). However, environmental concerns and Perceived behavioral control and Charging Facilities did not affect GPIEV. The results imply that attitudes in the form of perceptions about particular behaviors directly contribute to their interest in purchasing electric vehicles.
