Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam menyiapkan, merumuskan, dan mengadaptasi komponen RPP bidang studi ilmu pengetahuan alam (IPA) berdasarkan Standar Nasional Pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik survei dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian adalah 28 orang yang diambil menggunakan purposive teknik sampling. Instrumen penelitian adalah format analisis RPP yang terdiri dari 10 komponen dan kuesioner pengembangan professional. Berdasarkan sebagian besar RPP yang dibuat oleh guru sekolah dasar di Bengkulu diperoleh bahwa 85.7% sesuai dengan standar format CSP dan karakteristik pelajaran IPA. Perumusan dari setiap komponen RPP seperti kesesuaian indikator dengan SK / KD, kejelasan langkah-langkah KBM, metode, media, sumber belajar, kesesuaian bahan ajar, dan penilaian adalah baik karena sebagian besar responden (60.71%) telah menyusun komponen RPP berdasarkan standar dan karakteristik pelajaran IPA. Sedangkan pengembangan indikator yang ditujukan untuk level kognitif dan alokasi waktu masih kurang managemen.

Abstract

The development of science and technology causes education to become a necessity for the younger generation. Based on the results of the survey, students analytical skills are still low, so an active learning strategy is needed that can improve students' analytical skills. Active learning strategies that can be used are Critical Incident strategies. This study aims to determine the effect of using Critical Incident learning strategies on students' analytical skills on the subject of environmental change. The research was carried out in class X MAN 9 Jakarta from March to June 2017. The research method used was quasi-experimental research design using posttest only control design. The population of this study were all students of class X MIA totaling 104 students. The data collection uses a multiple-choice test consisting of 24 items that are integrated with three types of indicators of analytical skills that are differentiating, organizing and attributing. The results showed that the average posttest value of the analytical skills of the experimental class was 64.88 while the control class was 62.49. Hypothesis testing through t-test at the significance level α = 5% obtained t count = 1.74 while t table = 1.67, because t count is greater than t table then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Critical Incident learning strategies influences the analytical skills of class X MAN 9 Jakarta students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring (REACT) learning strategies on students' science process skills. This research was carried out in SMA Negeri 11 Bekasi City from April to May 2017. The method used in this study was Quasi Experiment, with the Posttest Only Control Design research design. The target population is all students of class X MIA totaling 240 students. The sampling technique used Cluster Random Sampling, and obtained the X MIA 2 class as the experimental class and X MIA 3 class as the control class. Data collection is done by using multiple choice tests to measure 9 indicators of student science process skills. Hypothesis testing using the t test at a significance level α = 1%, obtained tcount = 3.06 t0.99 = 2.38, which means that H0 is rejected, so there is a very significant effect on both groups. So, it can be concluded that the use of REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) learning strategies has an effect on students' science process skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of elementary school teachers in preparing, formulating and adapting the components of science lesson plan with National Education Standards. This research method was qualitative descriptive method with survey and documentation techniques. The sample was 28 people that was obtained using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were form of RPP component analysis that consist of 10 components and professional development questionnaires. Most of science RPP format that created by elementary school teacher in Bengkulu was obtained that 85.7% are matched with the CSP format standard and the characteristics of science lesson. The formulation of each component of RPP such as suitability indicators to SK / KD, clarity of KBM detail, method, media, learning resources, suitability of the material, and the goal of the assessment were good because the majority of respondents (60.71%) have drawn up the component of RPP accordance with the standards and characteristics of science lesson. While the development of indicators is aimed to cognitive level and the allocation of time was still lack of management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) Biologi siswa sekolah menengah atas akreditasi A dengan siswa sekolah menengah atas akreditasi B. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kausal kompratif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Swasta di Jakarta Barat Wilayah 1 Kecamatan Cengkareng tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah ±1.680 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling dan terpilih empat sekolah SMA Swasta dua Sekolah Akreditasi A (40 orang) dan dua Sekolah Akreditasi B (40 orang). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari – Juni 2016. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes objektif KPS yang terdiri dari 34 soal. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan Uji-t. Hasilnya menunjukkan thit (4,60) > ttabel (0,975) (1,99), Hipotesis ditolak, sehingga ada perbedaan keterampilan proses sains Biologi siswa sekolah menengah atas akreditasi A dengan siswa sekolah menengah atas akreditasi B.

Abstract

Background: The ability to think analytically is one part of higher-order thinking skills, which should be owned by students according to the reference in the curriculum. Giving feedback is one of the efforts to support students' analytical thinking skills. Methods: The research used is Quasi-Experimental, with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The sampling technique used was Cluster Random Sampling. The research instrument was used through a test in the form of a description of 6 questions integrated into three indicators of analytical thinking ability (Differentiating, Attributing and Organizing). Results: showed that the average value of posttest analytical thinking ability in the experimental class was 63.67, which was greater than the control class, which was 56.63. Hypothesis testing through t-test at the 5% significance level obtained the value of tcount = 2.13 while ttable = 2.00, it is mean that tcount > ttable then H0 is rejected. Conclusions: The conclusion that can be formulated is that giving feedback has a significant effect on students' analytical thinking skills on the excretory system material, with the highest achievement indicator of analytical thinking ability achieved by indicators attributing.

Abstract

Penelitian yang menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle terhadap kemampuan berpikirkritis mahasiswa dalam matakuliah  Vertebrata. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasy Experiment dengan desain penelitian Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design.Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi semester IV yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Penguasaan kemampuan berpikir kritis diukur dengan menggunakan tes uraian materi klasifikasi chordata dan pisces sebanyak enam soal, masing-masing mengukur ketercapaian enam indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai 61,87 sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai 49,55. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi α = 1% diperoleh nilai Sig.(1-tailed) = 0.000 p.0.01, yang berarti H0 ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan penggunaan model pembelajaran learning cycle sangat berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Abstrak Motivasi merupakan dorongan yang mengakibatkan seseorang melakukan tindakan yang dapat berasal dari dalam diri (intrinsik) dan luar/lingkungan (ekstrinsik). Motivasi belajar dapat memengaruhi hasil belajar siswa, baik dari segi kognitif/pengetahuan, minat membaca, persepsi, dan Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengukur effect size artikel penelitian tentang hubungan antara motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa IPA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metaanalisis menggunakan instrumen lembar tabulasi data dan dianalisis menggunakan software openMEE. Artikel yang dipilih berjumlah 20 dengan rentang publikasi tahun 2016-2021. Rata-rata effect size yang diperoleh dari masing-masing artikel adalah tinggi (efek besar) sehingga diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara variabel motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa  IPA. Hasil penelitian dapat memberikan acuan bagi guru bahwa motivasi sangat penting diberikan kepada siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. AbstractMotivation is an impulse that causes a person to take actions that can come from within (intrinsic) and outside/environmentally (extrinsic). Learning motivation can affect student learning outcomes, both in terms of cognitive/knowledge, reading interest, perception, and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. This research aimed to measure the effect size of research articles on the relationship between motivation and learning outcomes of science students. The type of research used was meta-analysis using data tabulation sheet instruments and analyzed using openMEE software. The selected articles were 20 with a publication range of 2016-2021. The average effect size obtained from each article was high (large effect) so it is interpreted that there was a significant correlation between motivational variables and science student learning outcomes. The results of the research can provide a reference for teachers that motivation is very important given to students during the learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak: Dengan dalih bahwa obat-obatan yang dijual di toko obat, apotek, warung, atau dokter lebih modern dan ampuh mengatasi berbagai masalah kesehatan, masyarakat lebih mempercayakan obat-obatan yang terbuat dari bahan kimia dibandingkan dengan obat-obatan alami yang berasal dari tumbuhan. Masyarakat di desa Gekbrong, Jawa Barat juga demikian. Dengan pemberian penyuluhan kepada 18 warga yang tergabung dalam Kelompok Tani Gede Harepan, tim pengabdian telah melakukan edukasi untuk membantu warga mengenal dan memahami potensi tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat alami atau herbal. Berdasarkan hasil posttest angket pemahaman diketahui telah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai definisi tanaman obat (100%), jenis tanaman obat (83,3%); manfaat tanaman obat (100%), cara membuat obat herbal (44,4%); dan peminatan untuk memanfaatkan tanaman obat untuk kesehatan (100%). Selain itu, berdasarkan angket pendapat, peserta juga menyatakan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat, di mana 75% menyatakan setuju dan 25% menyatakan sangat setuju. Diharapkan dari kegiatan ini masyarakat lebih paham dalam mengenal dan memanfaatkan tanaman obat sebagai obat herbal atau alami.Abstract: With the pretext that medicines sold in drugstores, pharmacies, stalls, or doctors are more modern and effective in dealing with various health problems, people rely more on medicines made from chemicals compared to natural medicines derived from plants. The community in Gekbrong village, West Java is the same way. By providing counselling to 18 residents who are members of the Gede Harepan Farmer Group, the service team has conducted education to help residents recognize and understand the potential of plants that can be used as natural or herbal medicines. Based on the results of the posttest understanding questionnaire, it is known that there has been an increase in knowledge regarding the definition of medicinal plants (100%), types of medicinal plants (83.3%), the benefits of medicinal plants (100%), how to make herbal medicines (44.4%), and specialization. to utilize medicinal plants for health (100%). In addition, based on the opinion questionnaire, participants also stated that the service activities were by following the needs of the community, where 75% agreed and 25% strongly agreed. It is hoped that from this activity the community will understand more about recognizing and using medicinal plants as herbal or natural medicines.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran biologi tidak hanya mendorong penemuan, tetapi juga proses penemuan dengan mampu meningkatkan sikap ilmiah. Selain itu, pemilihan model pembelajaran sangat berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan pembelajaran. Pembelajaran inkuiri menekankan pada pemikiran kritis dan analisis untuk menemukan jawaban atas pertanyaan yang bersangkutan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode pembelajaran Guide Inquiry terhadap kemampuan menggunakan metode saintifik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 18 soal. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik non parametrik Mann U-Withney. Hasil pengujian diperoleh bahwa nilai Z hitung sebesar 6,8 lebih besar dari nilai Z tabel (0,05) sebesar 1,96, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Guided Inquiry terhadap kemampuan menggunakan metode saintifik siswa kelas X siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Karawang.
