Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan bangsa terhadap kualitas fisik susu kambing Sannen dan Sapera. Kambing sannen betina laktasi yang berjumlah 9 ekor dan Kambing sapera betina laktasi yang berjumlah 9 ekor. Sampel susu yang diambil sebanyak tiga kali pengambilan, sebanyak masing-masing 100 ml tiap ekor tiap perlakuan, di peternakan Bamboe Koening Farm. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan independent student T-Test dengan 2 perlakuan dan 9 ulangan. Variable yamg diamati pH, berat jenis, uji keasaman, uji titik didih dan uji reduktase. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah perlakuan pertama susu Kambing Sannen dan perlakuan kedua susu Kambing Sapera. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan susu pada bangsa kambing Sannen dan Sapera menunjukkan bahwa uji alkohol negatif, tidak berpengaruh terhadap pH, keasaman, dan titik didih. berpengaruh pada berat jenis, sedangkan uji reduktase terbaik pada kambing sannen 4,15 jam dan sapera 4 jam.

Abstract

Abstract. The training on processing culled laying hen meat into jerky aims to make students are more know the various of processing of culled laying hen meat. The implementation of this training is at SMKN 1 Mojosongo Boyolali targeting grade XI Ruminant Livestock Agribusiness 1 vocational high school students as many as 36 students. Based on the evaluation results, this training program changes the mindset of students about the diversification of livestock products not only limited to processing milk to make yogurt, processing eggs to make salted eggs, and processing meat to make nuggets. Another impact obtained from this training is that vocational high school students can have special skills that can be used as provisions when they graduate from school to open a business or create job opportunities through food diversification by processing culled laying hen meat. Abstrak. Adanya pelatihan pengolahan daging ayam petelur afkir menjadi dendeng ini bertujuan agar sekolah dan peserta didik lebih mengetahui ragam pengolahan daging ayam petelur afkir. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 1 Mojosongo Boyolali dengan sasaran peserta didik SMK kelas XI Agribisnis Ternak Ruminansia sebanyak 36 peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, adanya program pelatihan ini mengubah pola pikir peserta didik tentang diversifikasi produk peternakan tidak hanya terbatas pada pengolahan susu untuk dijadikan yogurt, pengolahan telur untuk dijadikan telur asin, dan pengolahan daging untuk dijadikan nugget. Dampak lain yang didapat dari adanya pelatihan ini adalah peserta didik SMK dapat memiliki keterampilan khusus yang dapat dijadikan bekal ketika lulus sekolah untuk membuka usaha ataupun menciptakan peluang kerja melalui diversifikasi pangan dengan pengolahan daging ayam petelur afkir.

Abstract

This researchto determine the effect of corn tumpi fermentation with the addition of bioactivators MA-11 and EM-4 as well as urea and molasses on the content of BK, PK, and SK. The study was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Veteran Bangun Nusantara University for one month using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 8 replications. The treatments were P0: 250 grams of corn tumpi + 2 grams of urea + 5 cc of molasses; P1: 250 grams of corn tumpi + 2% MA-11 + 2 grams of urea + 5 cc of molasses; P2: 250 grams of corn tumpi + 2% EM4 + 2 grams of urea + 5 cc of molasses. The results showed that the addition of MA-11 and EM-4 significantly increased the content of BK and PK, and also decreased the content of SK compared to the P0 / control treatment (P <0.01). Treatment P1 gave results that were not significantly different from treatment P2. The dry matter (DM) content in treatment P0 was 87.97%, P1: 88.65% and P2: 88.45%. Treatment P0 produced a crude protein (CP) content of 9.79%, P1: 11.37% and P2: 10.45%. The lowest crude fiber (CF) content was achieved by treatment P1 (3.70%) followed by treatment P2 (4.33%) and P0 (6.38%). The conclusion that can be drawn is that corn tumpi fermentation using MA-11 and EM4 with the addition of urea and molasses has a very significant effect on increasing CF content and decreasing CF content, but treatments P1 and P2 provide the same DM content. Bioactivator MA-11 provides a more effective effect than EM4 in increasing CF content and decreasing CF content.

Abstract

This study intends to assess the impact of employing two types of bioactivators, namely MA-11 and EM-4, on the digestibility of dry matter (KcBK) and digestibility of organic matter (KcBO) in fermented corncobs. One potential solution to the limited availability of feed is the use of agricultural waste as animal feed, which includes corncob fermentation. The research was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and four replications, namely T0 (control), T1 (2% MA-11), and T2 (2% EM-4). The fermentation process was carried out anaerobically for 7 days. The digestibility data were analyzed using ANOVA and continued with the Duncan test. The results showed that treatment T1 (MA-11) produced the highest digestibility value, namely KcBK of 66.37% and KcBO of 67.48%. Treatment T2 (EM-4) showed a KcBK of 64.83% and a KcBO of 64.18%, while the control (T0) had the lowest values, namely KcBK 61.46% and KcBO 61.76%. Although statistically there was no significant difference between treatments (p > 0.05), the increase in biological digestibility was significant. This increase is thought to be caused by the activity of lignocellulolytic and proteolytic microorganisms in MA-11, which are capable of breaking down fibers and complex organic compounds. It can be concluded that corncob fermentation using MA-11 is more effective than EM-4 in improving the nutritional quality and digestibility of feed ingredients. This technology can be an alternative to utilizing agricultural waste as an efficient feed source for ruminant livestock.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama fermentasi onggok menggunakan MA-11 terhadap pH, suhu fermentasi, dan berat kering panen. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola searah one-way ANOVA. Perlakuan yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah 4 macam lama fermentasi yaitu, P0: Fermentasi onggok menggunakan MA-11 selama 0 hari, P1: Fermentasi onggok menggunakan MA-11 selama 2 hari, P2: Fermentasi onggok menggunakan MA-11 selama 4 hari, P3: Fermentasi onggok menggunakan MA-11 selama 6 hari, dengan masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Proses fermentasi bersifat anaerob, Variabel yang di amati berupa suhu fermentasi, pH (keasaman), berat kering panen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu mengalami kenaikan yang signifikan (P<0,05), pH (keasaman) mengalami penurunan yang signifikan (P<0,05), dan berat kering panen mengalami kenaikan yang sangat signifikan (P<0,01).

Abstract

The increasing need for green fodder as animal feed continues to increase, especially in the face of limited land and weather changes, this encourages farmers to continue to innovate in an effort to meet the need for green fodder for livestock. Wheat (Triticum spp.) is a potential plant for green fodder because it grows quickly and has high nutritional content. The hydroponic fodder system is one method of plant cultivation that uses water rich in nutrients as a substitute for soil. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different defoliation ages on hydroponic wheat fodder green fodder production and nutrient content (dry matter, organic matter, and ash). The design used in the study was a Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments, each treatment repeated 4 times. The treatments were P1: defoliation at 6 days; P2: defoliation at 8 days and P3: defoliation at 10 days. The variables observed included fresh weight, dry matter content, organic matter, and ash content of hydroponic wheat fodder green fodder. The results of the study showed that the highest fresh weight was achieved in P3 (118.75 ± 3.8 grams), then P2 (104.50 ± 6.1 grams) and P1 (77.50 ± 5 grams). The highest dry matter content was achieved in treatment P1 (33.84 ± 4.99 grams), followed by P2 (27.16 ± 2.9 grams) and the lowest in treatment P3 (23.33 ± 0.7 grams). The lowest ash content was in P1 (1.76 ± 0.39 grams) while the highest organic matter content was in treatment P1 (98.24 ± 0.39 grams). This research can be concluded that the difference in defoliation age between 6 - 10 days has a significant effect on the production and content of dry matter, organic matter and ash of hydroponic fodder.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa SMK N 2 Sukoharjo dalam budidaya hijauan pakan dan pembuatan agen hayati (Mikoriza dan Trichoderma). Metode yang digunakan meliputi pre-test, penyampaian materi teori, praktik langsung, post-test, dan pendampingan. Sebanyak 50 siswa mengikuti pelatihan ini. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman siswa tentang konsep hijauan pakan, jenis tanaman pakan, dan peran agen hayati dalam pertanian. Praktik pembuatan Trichoderma menjadi momen penting yang meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman peserta. Evaluasi post-test menunjukkan bahwa 84% siswa dapat menjelaskan kembali fungsi agen hayati dan 78% merasa percaya diri untuk menerapkan ilmu tersebut secara mandiri. Program ini dinilai sangat bermanfaat oleh mayoritas peserta dan berpotensi direplikasi di sekolah lain.

Abstract

Sheep farming plays a strategic role in providing animal protein sources in Indonesia. One of the challenges often encountered in fattening is determining which sheep species will best respond to the same feed formula. This study aimed to compare growth performance and feed utilization efficiency between male Texel and Garut sheep fed with identical feed compositions. A total of 12 male sheep aged 9–10 months, consisting of 6 Texels and 6 Garuts, were reared individually for 28 days. The diet consisted of 60% concentrate and 40% forage, with water provided ad libitum. Observed parameters included daily feed intake (g/head/day), average daily gain (ADG, g/head/day), and feed conversion ratio (FCR). Data were analyzed using an independent samples t-test at a 5% significance level. The results showed that Texel sheep had higher daily feed intake (921.25 g) compared to Garut (879.76 g), greater ADG (70.53 g vs. 56.65 g), and lower FCR (13.07 vs. 15.54). All differences were statistically significant (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that Texel sheep outperform Garut sheep in both growth rate and feed conversion efficiency, making them more suitable for intensive fattening programs based on locally available feed resources.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui pengaruh  fermentasi daun  sawit menggunakan MA-11 dengan level yang berbeda terhadap Kecernaan Protein Kasar (KcPK) dan Kecernaan Serat Kasar (KcSK). Desain penelitian yang digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola searah dengan empat (4) perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan tsb adalah P0 : daun sawit + 0 cc MA-11 + urea 2 g + molasses 5 cc; P1 : daun sawit + 2 cc MA-11 + urea 2 g + molasses 5 cc; P2 : daun sawit +4 cc MA-11 + urea 2 g + molasses 5 cc; P3 : daun sawit + 6 cc MA-11 + urea 2g + molasses 5 cc. Inkubasi dilakukan selama 9 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fermentasi menggunakan MA-11 berpengaruh sangat nyata meningkatkan kecernaan protein kasar daun sawit, dengan hasil tertinggi pada P3 (56,92 ± 0,47%); disusul kemudian oleh P2 (51,57 ± 1,14%); P1 (46,32 ± 3,97%) dan terkecil P0 (27,15 ± 0,27%). Daun sawit yang difermentasi dengan MA-11 berhasil dengan sangat nyata menurunkan nilai kecernaan serat kasarnya, dengan hasil sebagai berikut P0 (61,39±1,21%); P1 (67,13±0,93%); P2 (72,02±0,19%) dan P3 (75,93±1,35%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa fermentasi daun sawit menggunakan MA-11 sebanyak 0 – 6 cc berpengaruh sangat nyata meningkatkan nilai KcPK dan KcSK dan yang paling optimal pada level penggunaan MA-11 sebanyak 6 cc.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of fermentation of oil palm leaf content using MA-11 on dry matter (BK), crude protein (PK) and crude fibre (SK) content. This study uses a comprehensive randomized design (RAL) The pattern was in line with the treatment as many as four treatments and each treatment was repeated three times. T0 : 250 grams of palm oil leaves + 6cc MA-11 with an incubation period of 0 days, T1 : 250 grams of palm oil leaves + 6cc MA-11 with an incubation period of 3 days, T2: 250 grams of oil palm leaves + 6cc ma-11 with an incubation period of 6 days. T3 : 250 grams of palm oil leaf +6cc ma-11 with an incubation period of 9 days. Observed variable dry matter , crude protein, crude fibre.  The results of the study showed that the average value of BK was obtained T0: 86.86%, T1: 87.76%, T2: 88.93% and T3: 90.06%, Tilapia PK was obtained T0: 5.34%, T1: 6.04%, T2 6.01% and T3 12.09% The average value of SK was obtained T0: 23.12%, T1: 21.51%, T2: 20.30% and T3: 18.27%.The conclusion from this study is that the fermentation period of 0 to 9 days using ma-11 with a dose of 6cc has a very real effect on the dry matter content and crude protein content and is able to reduce the crude fiber content.
