Abstract

Kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru bahasa Jawa masih merasakan kesulitan menyusun karya ilmiah, padahal menulis karya tulis ilmiah merupakan kegiatan yang sangat penting bagi seorang guru dalam rangka memperolah angka kredit kenaikan jabatan dan peningkatan kualitas pengelolaan kelas. Berkaitan dengan kondisi tersebut, tim pengabdi berupaya untuk menjadi fasilitator terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Jawa SMA dan SMK Kota Semarang untuk mengadakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk workshop. Tujuan program ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang menulis artikel ilmiah dengan topik pengajaran bahasa Jawa serta cara mengirimkan artikel jurnal tersebut melalui OJS (Open Journal System). Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, tanya jawab, dan penugasan. Keberhasilan kegiatan workshop diukur dengan indikator pemahaman sistematika jurnal, kemampuan menulis pendahuluan, kemampuan menulis hasil dan pembahasan, kemampuan menulis kesimpulan, dan kemampuan mengirim artikel jurnal secara online melalui sistem OJS. Hasilnya terjadi peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam 5 indikator di atas sebesar 26%. Rata-rata kemampuan awal sebelum mengikuti kegiatan workshop adalah 5,6 menjadi 7,6 setelah mengikuti kegiatan workshop.

Abstract

EFEKTIVITAS LAGU-LAGU BERBAHASA JAWA UNTUK MENANAMKAN NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER SISWAAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan karakter siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberi pembelajaran menggunakan lagu-lagu berbahasa Jawa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian praeksperimental dengan desain one group pretest posttest design. Subjek penelitiannya 30 siswa PAUD Mutiara Hati Semarang dan lima guru. Data nilai-nilai karakter dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai pertama, terdapat perbedaan karakter yang signifikan antara karakter siswa sebelum diberi pembelajaran menggunakan media lagu berbahasa Jawa dengan sesudah diberi pembelajaran menggunakan media lagu berbahasa Jawa. Kedua, perubahan yang terjadi menunjukkan arah yang lebih positif, yakni karakter mandiri, disiplin, cinta tanah air, religius, kerja keras, dan peduli lingkungan. Karakter yang paling konsisten mengalami peningkatan adalah karakter kepedulian lingkungan. Konsistensi tersebut disebabkan karena guru selalu membiasakan siswanya untuk selalu peduli lingkungan sejak awal masuk di PAUD tersebut.Kata kunci: karakter, lagu berbahasa Jawa, PAUDAbstractThis study was aimed at determining the differences in the characters of the students before and after being given classroom learning using Javanese songs. The study was preexperimental research with a one group pretest posttest design. The subjects of this study were 30 students and 5 teachers of PAUD Mutiara Hati Semarang. The data on character values were collected by observation and interview techniques. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and inferential statistics. The results show that: first, there are significant character differences between the characters of students before and after being given learning using Javanese songs. Second, the changes that occur indicate positive characters namely independence, discipline, nationalism, religiousity, hard work, and environmental awareness. The most consistent character that has increased is the character of environmental awareness. The consistency is due to the fact that teachers always familiarize their students with environment issues since the beginning of classes.Keywords: character building, Javanese song, early childhood education program

Abstract

Learning Javanese language has been starting on since a long time, but still there are some problems found in the field. Problems when learning Javanese language that occur in SD Patemon 01 and SD Sekaran 01, District Gunungpati, Semarang are (1) low capacity of the teachers in creating computer-based learning media, (2) lack of language skills of the teachers in using Javanese language variety of manners, and (3) frequent occurrence of errors in the assessment of learning Javanese language. In connection with these conditions, devotee team tried to be facilitators to the problems faced by teachers in SD Patemon 01 and SD Sekaran 01 by conducting science and technology activities for the Community (IbM). IbM program implementation used workshop model with a variety of methods, such as lecturing, demonstrations, direct practice, frequently asked questions and assignments. The results of this IbM program are capacity building of teachers in making computers-based learning media for Javanese language, improving the competence of teachers in terms of manners of Javanese language skills, and increaseing understanding of Javanese language learning assessment. The increase was indicated from abilities’ score of the teachers before and after the IbM program. The ability of teachers in terms of making computer-based instructional media increased significantly, ie 16.9%. Competence of teachers in terms of unggah-ungguh based on Javanese language, especially in speaking skills manners increased 6.3%. The ability of teachers in terms of understanding of the Java language learning assessment increased 9.7%.

Abstract

Pilar utama sistem pendidikan nasional adalah guru. Guru sangat menentukan kesuksesan sebuah pembelajaran. Guru ditantang untuk selalu meningkatkan kompetensinya. Salah satu kompetetensi yang harus ditingkatkan seorang guru adalah kompetensi menulis artikel jurnal. Sangat sedikit guru yang memiliki kemampuan untuk menulis artikel jurnal. Penyebabnya adalah keterbatasan referensi dalam menulis, lemahnya budaya menulis di kalangan para guru, rendahnya motivasi guru untuk membuat karya tulis artikel ilmiah, dan keterbatasan waktu untuk menulis. Berkaitan dengan kondisi tersebut tim pengabdi berupaya untuk menjadi fasilitator terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP Bahasa Jawa SMP Kota Semarang dengan mengadakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Tujuan program ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam hal penulisan artikel jurnal, dan meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam hal submit artikel jurnal secara online menggunakan OJS (Open Journal System). Guna mencapai tujuan tersebut maka digunakan berbagai macam metode, diantaranya adalah ceramah, demonstrasi, tanya jawab, praktik langsung dan penugasan. Di akhir program dilakukan evaluasi untuk melihat tingkat keberhasilan program. Pelaksanaan program secara umum berjalan lancar. Peserta cukup antusias mengikuti kegiatan. Program ini juga dapat dikatakan berhasil. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam menulis artikel jurnal sebesar 25%. Rata-rata kemampuan awal sebelum mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan adalah 52, 5 menjadi 65,7 setelah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan.

Abstract

Student personality types are thought to have a correlation with the results of writing cerkak. This study aimed to determine the correlation between personality types and the results of writing cerkak in grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Gombong. This study used a correlational research design with a sample of 35 students. Data collection techniques used were observation techniques, interviews, and tests. Data analysis was performed using regression and correlation. The results showed that personality types and cerkak writing results strongly correlated with a coefficient of 0.874. Students with introverted personality types had better results than extroverted students

Abstract

The impact of social media platforms on pedagogical practises has been significant, leading to the emergence of novel theoretical frameworks that prioritise connected learning in order to enhance educational outcomes. The proliferation of social media platforms has significantly contributed to the popularity of short movies, which were first designed based on micro-learning concepts. The social media platform TikTok has the potential to serve as an instructional tool in the future. The purpose of this study is to describe how and why students use the TikTok application to learn dialogue text in Javanese language classes. A detailed descriptive study is what this one is. This study was done at a private middle school in Semarang, Indonesia. Observation, structured interviews, and documentation are employed to collect data for this qualitative descriptive study's design. Using the Miles and Huberman model, data analysis was conducted through the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) the Tiktok application makes students more familiar with the material being taught; (2) the Tiktok application receives a positive response from students; and (3) the TikTok application is an effective learning medium, effective strategies for learning Javanese.

Abstract

This research was conducted to support learning material, especially ‘tembang’ and with the aim of developing electronic teaching materials for Tembang Macapat for junior high school students. This research uses a research and development design. The research steps start from analyzing potential and problems, collecting information, product design, design validation, design revision and validation testing for users. The data collection techniques used in this research are interview, observation and questionnaire techniques for data collection. The results of the needs analysis show that teachers and students need development media in the form of electronic teaching materials for Macapat songs. The validation results by expert validators are divided into four types of eligibility. In the feasibility aspect, the content received a "good" score. The suitability of the presentation received a score of "fairly good". The appropriateness of the language received a score of "fairly good". The graphic level received a “fairly good” rating. Therefore, it can be said that electronic teaching materials for Macapat songs are acceptable and suitable to be applied as learning media.

Abstract

Learning Javanese script is considered an outdated and boring lesson. This paradigm of boring and obsolete Javanese script lessons must be changed into a modern, interesting, and enjoyable learning experience. One way to do this is by developing a Joyful Learning-based model for Javanese language instruction. Joyful Learning is a concept of enjoyable learning. The development of a Joyful Learning-based model for Javanese language instruction is urgent and necessary because the learning model currently used by students needs to employ the principles of Joyful Learning, resulting in students feeling bored, tired, and unmotivated to learn. Additionally, Javanese language instruction is viewed as a good means to develop the character of the nation's children, as it contains values of morality and politeness. The research design used is the ADDIE Research and Development design, with the steps of analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. This study uniquely integrates traditional games into the Joyful Learning model. The result of the study is creating a Joyful Learning-based model for Javanese script instruction. The components of this model include the social system, reaction principles, support system, instructional and incidental impacts, and syntagmatic. The syntagmatic model of Joyful Learning-based Javanese script instruction includes an introduction, material delivery, games for writing sentences, games for reading paragraphs in Javanese script, formative assessment, and reflection. The learning model has been tested at SMPN 12 Semarang. The results of the school trial indicate that the Joyful Learning-based Javanese script instruction model is effective for learning.

Abstract

Education aims to create a learning process that allows students to be active in developing their potential. However, many schools still use conventional learning models such as the lecture method, which often makes students passive and afraid to ask questions, thereby reducing their learning outcomes. In the modern era, hypnoteaching has emerged as an innovative approach that is believed to be more effective. This research explores the effectiveness of hypnoteaching in learning Javanese at the junior high school level. The type of research used was an experiment with a posttest-only control group design. The research subjects were class IX students at SMP Negeri 10 Salatiga, where class IX G was the experimental group that applied hypnoteaching, while class IX E was the control group using the conventional model. The results showed that the average post-test score for the experimental group was 81.29, while the control group was only 58.06. Analysis using the T-test shows a significant value of p = 0.000 (α < 0.05), which shows that hypnoteaching is more effective in improving student learning achievement compared to conventional models. However, it's important to note that this study has some limitations, such as the small sample size and the specific context of Javanese language learning, which may affect the generalizability of the results.

Abstract

The use of Javanese script is increasingly being replaced by the Latin alphabet, and while preservation efforts through school-based learning have been implemented, they remain ineffective due to monotonous instructional methods. This study examines the effectiveness of an innovative approach to overcoming the monotony in Javanese script learning through a joyful learning model incorporating e-flashcards and engklek games. The research design involves two class groups: an experimental group, which receives the joyful learning treatment, and a control group, which undergoes conventional instruction. Quantitative data were collected from a total sample of 66 students through a practical reading test of Javanese sentences conducted after the treatment. The data were then analyzed using hypothesis testing, revealing that the joyful learning model significantly enhances learning outcomes. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the joyful learning model serves as an effective alternative for teaching Javanese script, offering a more engaging and interactive approach to script preservation and literacy development.
