Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the role of entrepreneurial orientation on the use of social media and marketing performance with innovative ability as a moderating variable in microscale businesses in Banyumas Regency. The sample in this study was determined using slovin and sampling using the purposive sampling method and the sample size was 100 respondents. The data analysis technique used in this research is partial least squares (PLS) analysis. The research results show that it partially has a positive and significant effect, while the use of social media partially mediates the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on marketing performance. Mediation in this research model is partial, in other words, the use of social media has a function to bridge the influence of entrepreneurial orientation on marketing performance. However, because the mediation characteristics are partial, even without the social media use variable, entrepreneurial orientation is still able to influence marketing performance positively and significantly. These results confirm that entrepreneurial orientation can increase and strengthen the use of social media by micro-scale business actors in Banyumas, which will also have an impact on improving business performance. Furthermore, innovative ability does not moderate the relationship between the use of social media and marketing performance. Entrepreneurial orientation, innovative ability and the use of social media by micro-scale business actors in Banyumas Regency are in accordance with the Islamic economic perspective where business actors dare to take risks, are innovative and use media. in the form of technology for muamalah activities that are in accordance with sharia principles, and this has an impact on the benefit of the people in the form of increasing marketing performance AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran orientasi kewirausahaan pada penggunaan media sosial dan kinerja pemasaran dengan kemampuan inovatif sebagai variabel moderasi pada usaha skala mikro di Kabupaten Banyumas.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of greenwashing on switching intention by examining the roles of green perceived risk, green consumer confusion, and perceived consumer skepticism. A quantitative approach was employed, using surveys distributed to Indonesian consumers who had purchased PlantBottle Coca-Cola products in eight different countries. A total of 120 valid responses were collected and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS software. The results indicate that greenwashing does not have a direct effect on switching intention. Furthermore, green consumer confusion does not mediate this relationship. However, perceived consumer skepticism significantly mediates the relationship between greenwashing and switching intention. Additionally, green perceived risk does not moderate the effect of greenwashing on switching intention. These findings underscore the importance for companies to communicate environmental claims transparently and credibly. Misleading sustainability messages may foster consumer skepticism, which can ultimately undermine brand loyalty and increase switching behavior. In the context of eco-friendly branding, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the psychological mechanisms that drive negative consumer reactions to greenwashing.

Abstract

Pneumonia is the leading cause of death among children under five, with the highest prevalence in Indonesia found in West Papua Province (75%) and the lowest in North Sulawesi (0.3%). This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the prevalence of pneumonia in Indonesian toddlers using nonparametric regression approach by comparing Least Square Spline (LS-Spline) and Fourier Series. Data sourced from the Indonesian Ministry of Health website, consisting of 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2023, with one response variable (Y) and five predictor variables (X). The analyzed factors include the coverage of vitamin A supplementation, malnutrition rates, low birth weight prevalence, measles immunization coverage, and exclusive breastfeeding rates. The analysis was conducted by modeling with nonparametric Least Square Spline regression using up to three optimal knot points, then performing analysis using nonparametric regression with the Fourier series approach. The two methods were compared based on GCV and R², with the best model having lower GCV and higher R². The results showed that LS-Spline was better than Fourier Series, with a GCV value of 233.16 and a coefficient of determination of 92.5%. The findings reveal that the relationships between predictor factors and pneumonia prevalence are nonlinear, with varying influence patterns across different variable ranges. These results indicate that LS-Spline has a strong ability to explain data variability. The Fourier series is limited in this study because it is best suited for periodic data, unlike pneumonia data and its causal factors which do not show such patterns. The weakness of the Fourier Series in this study lies in its suitability for periodic data, while pneumonia cases and their causal factors do not follow such patterns. This study offers insights into health policy making to reduce pneumonia cases, improve their lives, in line with the SDGs target on Good Health and Well-being.

Abstract

Inflation is a key economic indicator that affects purchasing power, economic growth, and financial stability. Accurate forecasting is essential for policymakers to implement effective monetary and fiscal policies. However, traditional models like ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) mainly capture general trends and often fail to address inflation volatility. This study enhances inflation forecasting accuracy by applying the ARIMA-GARCH hybrid model, which combines trend estimation with volatility modelling. Focusing on Indonesia’s inflation patterns using recent data, it addresses a gap in existing research. This type of research uses quantitative methods, and the data were obtained from the official website of Bank Indonesia. The dataset consists of 240 monthly Indonesian inflation data points spanning from September 2004 to August 2024. The ARIMA (0,1,1)-GARCH (2,0) model is used to analyze inflation trends and volatility dynamics. The model evaluation shows strong predictive performance, with a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 2.73% and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.74 for training data. Testing data results in a MAPE of 18.95% and RMSE of 0.702, which remains within an acceptable range. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating volatility modelling in inflation forecasting to enhance economic decision-making. A reliable forecast mitigates economic uncertainty, thereby providing a stronger foundation for achieving long-term economic growth. This study contributes by demonstrating the practical application of ARIMA-GARCH in Indonesia’s inflation modelling, providing valuable insights for policymakers in managing inflation-related risks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of technical quality, functional quality, and hospital image on patient satisfaction, with patient experience as a mediating variable, in periodontics specialist services at RSGMP Unsoed. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population comprises all patients who have received periodontics specialist services, with a purposive sampling technique yielding a total of 120 respondents. Data collection was conducted using a structured questionnaire based on indicators of technical quality, functional quality, hospital image, patient experience, and patient satisfaction. Data were analysed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method with the aid of SmartPLS software to test both the measurement model and the structural model. The results indicate that technical quality, functional quality, and hospital image each have a positive and significant effect on patient experience. Furthermore, patient experience has a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction. The mediation test results demonstrate that patient experience significantly mediates the effect of technical quality, functional quality, and hospital image on patient satisfaction. These findings confirm that patient satisfaction is not solely determined by clinical outcomes, but also by the patient experience throughout the service process. Therefore, hospitals need to enhance the technical and functional quality of their services and maintain a consistent hospital image in order to cultivate a positive patient experience and continuously improve patient satisfaction.

Abstract

The prevalence of type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, along with obesity that causes disturbances in the body's metabolic processes are the main triggers of chronic liver disease or in scientific language called Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), getting out of control. This makes managing this disease an increasingly serious global health challenge. One of the main factors influencing this condition is a high-fat diet and an unhealthy lifestyle. Therefore, evaluation of high-fat diet programs on metabolic parameters such as food intake patterns is important as a preventive measure. This study aims to analyze the differences in food intake levels with seven different types of dietary treatments for 28 days, which were tested on mice (Mus musculus) which have physiological and biochemical characteristics that almost resemble humans. The method used was analysis of variance (ANOVA) for longitudinal data to evaluate the dynamics of food consumption across diet groups and observation periods. The results showed that the type of dietary treatment significantly influenced food intake patterns over time, indicating that diet composition plays a crucial role in shaping eating behavior. These findings highlight the importance of both diet type and treatment duration in influencing consumption patterns. However, since this study has not yet identified the most effective dietary regimen, future research is recommended to investigate diet types with high variability, while considering additional factors such as age, sex, and physiological characteristics, as well as extending the observation period to better understand long-term impacts.

Abstract

Food security is a pressing issue for economic stability and public well-being in Indonesia, where the 2020–2022 Food Security Index (FSI) remained at Priority 4 which indicate low provincial food security. This study examines the determinants of FSI across 34 provinces from 2020 to 2023 using a spatial panel approach to capture both temporal and spatial spillovers. Secondary data from the National Food Agency and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) include poverty rate, electricity and clean water access, Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) score, per capita caloric intake, and mean years of schooling. Analysis employed panel regression and spatial-panel models particularly corporating the spatial fixed effects model. The SAR-FE model provided the best fit, with a significant positive spatiall ag coefficient. This study emphasizes that FSI in one province is influenced by neighboring provinces. These spillover effects highlight the interconnectedness of provincial food security and emphasizing that interventions in one region can affect adjacent areas. The combination of spatial and panel methodologies with individual fixed effects defines the novelty of this research. Such an approach, which is rarely utilized in the context of Indonesian food security, uncovers provincial-level spillover dynamics that previous studies relying solely on either spatial or panel frameworks tended to ignore. Findings provide actionable insights for coordinated regional policies and contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) by promoting more equitable food availability and accessibility.
