Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Lecturer Program for Assisting Excellent Human Resources (PDPSU) is one of the schemes in the community service activities at the university which was carried out by the FKIP Lecturer Team from the University of Palangka Raya (UPR). The PDPSU program was implemented to six teachers of Dayak Ngaju Language (BDN) Subject at SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut and SDN-5 Panarung Palangkaraya city through training and assistance in implementing the strategy of language learning. The purpose of this PDPSU activity was to help fulfill the pedagogic competence of the BDN subject teachers in applying the theory of language learning strategy including techniques for using BDN learner dictionary and developing teaching materials, grammar translation teaching method, communicative approach, and language learning techniques in learning BDN at the elementary schools. The results of the program can improve teachers’ competence in mastering the basic concepts and theories of language learning strategy and apply them to develop the learners’ worksheet of BDN in the elementary schools and implementing them in learning activities within their respective classes. It showed by the observation grade attained by the teachers during training and mentoring reached an average of 81.6. Keywords: language learning strategy, Dayak Ngaju language, primary school ABSTRAKProgram Dosen Pendamping SDM Unggul (PDPSU) merupakan salah satu skim dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di perguruan tinggi, yang dilaksanakan oleh Tim Dosen FKIP dari Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR). Program PDPSU ini dilaksanakan kepada enam orang Guru Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Dayak Ngaju (Guru Mapel BDN) di SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut dan SDN-5 Panarung Kota Palangkaraya melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan implementasi strategi pembelajaran bahasa. Tujuan kegiatan PDPSU ini untuk membantu memenuhi kompetensi pedagogik para guru mapel BDN tersebut dalam mengaplikasikan teori strategi pembelajaran bahasa yang mencakup teknik penggunaan kamus pelajar BDN dan pengembagan materi ajar, metode pengajaran terjemahan tata bahasa, pendekatan komunikatif, dan teknik pembelajaran bahasa dalam pembelajaran BDN pada sekolah dasar. Hasil kegiatan pada program PDPSU ini dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menguasai konsep dasar dan teori strategi pembelajaran bahasa dan mengaplikasikannya dalam bentuk pengembangan LKPD pembelajaran BDN di sekolah dasar serta mengimplementasikannya pada kegiatan pembelajaran BDN di kelasnya masing-masing. Hal itu ditunjukkan dengan nilai pengamatan terhadap aktivitas dan kinerja guru saat pelatihan dan pendampingan, yakni rata-rata 81,6.  Kata kunci: strategi pembelajaran bahasa, bahasa Dayak Ngaju, sekolah dasar

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Lecturer Program for Assisting Community Empowerment (PDPPM) is one of the schemes in the community service activity at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, the University of Palangka Raya (FKIP UPR). This activity program was carried out by the lecturer team from the faculty to provide training to ten class-teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut and SDN-5 Panarung Palangkaraya through the implementation of humanist literacy education in the integrated thematic learning at both elementary schools. The purpose of this PDPPM program is to help fulfill the pedagogical and professional competencies of those class-teachers in applying learning in the digital era of the 21st century and in the disruption era through humanist literacy knowledge into learning activities at the elementary school. From the results of the evaluation given at the end of the activity regarding teachers’ performance before being given the training, an average score of 61 was obtained. Then, there was an increase after being given the training, where an average score reached 78.1. Thus, the results of this training activity can improve teachers’ competence in mastering basic concepts and theories about humanist literacy education. Keywords: education, humanist literacy, integrated thematic, primary  school ABSTRAK Program Dosen Pendamping Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (PDPPM) merupakan salah satu skim dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Palangka Raya (FKIP UPR). Kegiatan PDPPM ini dilaksanakan oleh Tim Dosen dari FKIP UPR guna memberikan pelatihan kepada sepuluh orang Guru Kelas di SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut dan SDN-5 Panarung Kota Palangkaraya tentang implementasi pendidikan literasi humanis dalam pembelajaran tematik terpadu di sekolah dasar. Tujuan kegiatan PDPPM ini untuk membantu memenuhi kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional para Guru Kelas dalam mengaplikasikan pembelajaran era digital abad-21 dan era disrupsi tentang pengetahuan literasi humanis ke dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Dari hasil evaluasi yang diberikan terhadap aktivitas dan kinerja guru sebelum diberikan pelatihan dalam kegiatan PDPPM hanya memperoleh nilai rata-rata 61, dan mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikan pelatihan dalam kegiatan PDPMM, yakni rata-rata 78,1. Abstract

The Community Stimulus Partnership Program which is so-called PKMS is one of scheme of community service activity in the university carried out by the lecturer team from FKIP of the University of Palangka Raya. This PKMS program was implemented to ten classroom teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut, Kota Palangka Raya by the aim of assisting the teachers to fulfill the pedagogical competence in making improvement to their learning problems in the classroom through the reflective action which was arranged into a classroom action research (CAR). The lecturer team carried out a training and mentoring activity of writing scientific papers of CAR-based for classroom teachers at the SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut. The implementation of training method was conducted through developing of training materials, mentoring and assisting activities during the application of the classroom action. The result of the program can increase teachers’ knowledge about the basic concepts of writing scientific papers of CAR-based and increase teachers’ competence in taking reflective action to improve the quality of teaching in the subject of Indonesian Language. It is indicated by the evaluation result in observation regarding with teachers’ activities and performance during training and mentoring which reached a score 84.3 in average.Program Kemitraan Masyarakat Stimulus (PKMS) merupakan salah satu skim dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di perguruan tinggi, yang dilaksanakan oleh Tim Dosen FKIP dari Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR). Program PKMS dilaksanakan kepada sepuluh orang Guru Kelas di SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut Kota Palangkaraya dengan tujuan untuk membantu memenuhi kompetensi pedagogik Guru Kelas dalam melakukan perbaikan pada permasalahan pembelajaran di kelasnya melalui tindakan reflektif yang disusun ke dalam sebuah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Tim Dosen melaksanakan sebuah kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan penulisan karya ilmiah bentuk PTK kepada Guru Kelas di SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut. Penerapan metode pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui pendalaman materi dan kegiatan pendampingan saat implementasi tindakan kelas. Hasil kegiatan pada program PKMS ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang konsep dasar penulisan karya ilmiah bentuk PTK serta meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam melakukan tindakan reflektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas pada muatan pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Hal itu ditunjukkan dengan nilai pengamatan terhadap aktivitas dan kinerja guru saat pelatihan dan pendampingan, yakni rata-rata 84,3.

Abstract

Abstract: This educational evaluation research aims at evaluating the training program in PKM-PDPSU activity carried out at SDN-2 Panarung Palangkaraya. The training was provided to improve the ability of nine teachers at the primary school to apply the education content of humanist literacy in language learning in order to form Pancasila-uphold generation in students through PKM-PDPSU activity. The evaluation of the program was carried out by the author as an evaluator with a team of experts using the Countenance Stake model. Data were collected using techniques such as observation, document review, and interview. Then, the data were analyzed using a case study analysis technique by the descriptive qualitative method. From the result of the evaluation, an average score of 4.8 was obtained and categorized as a good quality of the implementation in the educational program. By the evaluation activity, the evaluator team has proven that the evaluation of the countenance stake model can be carried out on an educational training program by a lecturer team from the university in the community service activity (PKM).  Keywords: education evaluation, countenance stake, training, primary school teachers  Abstrak: Penelitian evaluasi pendidikan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap program pelatihan dalam kegiatan PKM-PDPSU yang dilaksanakan di SDN-2 Panarung Kota Palangkaraya. Pelatihan diberikan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sembilan orang guru di sekolah dasar tersebut untuk mengaplikasikan muatan pendidikan literasi humanis dalam pembelajaran bahasa guna membentuk tunas Pancasila pada diri peserta didik melalui kegiatan PKM-PDPSU. Evaluasi program dilakukan oleh penulis sebagai evaluator bersama tim ahli dengan menggunakan model countenance Stake. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, telaah dokumen, dan wawancara, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik analisis studi kasus dalam metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil evaluasi program diperoleh nilai rata-rata 4,8 yang berkategori baik untuk kualitas pelaksanaan program pendidikan. Pada kegiatan evaluasi program pendidikan ini, tim evaluator telah membuktikan bahwa evaluasi model countenance Stake dapat dilakukan pada sebuah program pelatihan pendidikan yang dilaksanakan oleh tim dosen dari perguruan tinggi dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM). Kata Kunci: evaluasi pendidikan, countenance Stake, pelatihan, guru sekolah dasar

Abstract

The Lecturer Program for Assisting Excellent Human Resources (PDPSU) is one of the schemes in the community service activity (PKM)  at the university which was carried out by the FKIP Lecturer Team from the University of Palangka Raya (UPR). This PDPSU activity was carried out using blended learning to provide training to collaborator teachers at SDN-2 Panarung, Kota Palangka Raya. The purpose of this PKM-PDPSU activity is to train and assist teachers at SDN-2 Panarung in applying humanist literacy education to the content of language learning materials in the primary school. This is done to build Pancasila-uphold generation to students as the excellent generation in the 21st century. Evaluation to the nine collaborator teachers was measured quantitatively using evaluation tool and assessment instrument prepared which refers to the Teacher Performance Assessment Tool (APKG) and is also measured using a classical assessment of achievement through learning outcome. The results of the evaluation given to the teacher's knowledge and skills before being given training in the PDPSU activity show the participants only obtained an average score 67. Meanwhile, the teacher's knowledge and skills increased after being given training in this PDPSU activity by reaching an average score of 85. As a result, this PDPSU activity could improve the knowledge and skills of teachers in applying humanist literacy education to the content of language learning materials in the primary school level for building Pancasila-uphold generation as the excellent students in the 21st century.

Abstract

The Kutaringin Sultanate is one of the most magnificent heritages of the Islamic Kingdom in Indonesia, located in West Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. As a cultural product, these historical objects from the Kutaringin Sultanate are worthy of being documented through cultural semiotic study and developed into a lecturing model of language and literature containing of artifact discourses based on local wisdom. The purpose of this study is to describe the cultural meanings of historical objects from the Kutaringin Sultanate and their implications in language and literature lectures at the university. The implementation of this research used a qualitative method with two approaches, both were the lexical semantic approach and the pedagogical approach. The result of this study found 39 historical objects that can be culturally interpreted and developed into a lecturing model of language and literature containing artifact discourses based on local wisdom for the university students.

Abstract

The 21st century learning involving artificial intelligence indeed cannot replace one's humanist character. This is the importance of an educator in the primary school (SD) having a humanist educator soul to create a superior generation by realizing Pancasila character. Students in the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Study Program as teacher candidates should be able to prepare their competencies in designing text-based integrated learning with humanist literacy education. This is done in order to build a humanist character based on Pancasila values to the students. The research was conducted to design an integrated learning of lecturing model that implements a text-based approach filled with humanist literacy education. This integrated learning of lecturing model was used to build Pancasila Student Profile for designing integrated learning tools in the PGSD Study Program of the University of Palangka Raya. The implementation of this research used a qualitative-quantitative method (mixed-method research design). The qualitative method is used to design the lecturing model and the quantitative method is used to test the effectiveness of the lecturing model using the Wilcoxon Test. The results show the average score of pre-test was 56 and that of post-test was 78. Furthermore, the results of the pre-test-post-test were analyzed for their level of effectiveness using the Wilcoxon test which showed p=0.000 where p<0.05 meaning Ho was rejected. Hence, the use of lecturing model by orienting the Integrated Learning Theory and Practice using a text-based approach with humanist literacy education is effectively used in increasing student learning outcomes (CPL). This result brought a positive outcome to students through the course taught to design integrated thematic learning device using the text-based approach containing humanist literacy education to build the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi sebuah permasalahan tentang ketidakberhasilan siswa kelas IV di SDN-1 Napu Sahur Kabupaten Katingan dalam memahami isi teks bacaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar siswa di kelas IV SDN-1 Napu Sahur pada materi menentukan ide pokok teks bacaan mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif (deskriptif kualitatif) yang menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif (analysis interactive model) dari Miles dan Huberman. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam menentukan ide pokok mencakupi: (1) siswa tidak paham konsep ide pokok, dan (2) siswa tidak mampu menerapkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman dengan baik. Dari hasil analisis data ditemukan faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa adalah faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal mencakupi ketidakmampuan siswa menguasai materi ide pokok karena motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah, minat membaca siswa kurang dan kemampuan membaca yang masih rendah. Adapun faktor eksternal penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa tersebut mencakupi sarana dan prasarana sekolah yang kurang memadai, kurangnya persiapan guru sebelum mengajar, penggunaan strategi pengajaran yang kurang tepat, serta kurangnya perhatian dan motivasi dari orang tua.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk meningkatan hasil belajar Matematika pada materi Operasi Hitung Perkalian dengan menggunakan teknik jarimatika pada siswa kelas IVc di SDN-4 Menteng Palangkaraya Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Matematika pada siswa kelas IVc SDN-4 Menteng Palangkaraya peneliti menggunakan teknik Jarimatika. Metode penelitian tindakan kelas ini dialksanakan dengan tahapan (1) perencanaan, (2) tindakan, (3) pengamatan, (4) refleksi. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVc yang berjumlah 32 orang, yang terdiri dari 15 laki-laki dan 17 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang kemudian dianalisi dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa yang mengalami peningkatan dari 56% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 63,7 sebelum dilakukannya tindakan, meningkat menjadi 69% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 72,8 pada siklus I dimana terjadi peningkatan sekitar 13% setelah dilakukannya tindakan, kemudian meningkat menjadi 88% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 82,5 pada siklus II Terjadi peningkatan sekitar 19% dari siklus I. Hasil belajar siswa kelas IVc SDN-4 Menteng Palangkaraya mengalami peningkatan dengan menerapkan teknik Jarimatika pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi “Operasi Hitung Perkalian”.

Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative-conceptual research is to describe a literature on the result of the development of an integrated model of the direct instruction and communicative approach. The integrated direct instruction-communicative approach is applied in a training program for publication of scientific papers in ICT-based or OJS-based in scientific journals for classroom teachers in Central Kalimantan Province. This activity was carried out in July 2023 and involved 30 classroom teachers from various primary schools in Central Kalimantan Province. The development model design of integrated approach between direct instruction and communicative approach used Borg and Gall Research and Development method covering to the third stage, namely product development. In its application, the integrated approach of direct instruction and communicative approach includes the modeling phase and the strategy of communicative competence. From the results of the integrated model development applied, it was found that the classroom teacher's knowledge and skill increased when evaluated, that is by obtaining an average score of 82 with a completion percentage of 91%. Thus, it can be concluded that the integrated approach of direct instruction and communicative approach is very relevant to be used in the training program of scientific paper publication for classroom teachers of primary schools in Central Kalimantan Province.
