Abstract

Customer service time is very important for UD. Hardi Drum which is a small-scale business in the field of selling used drums. Service to customers which is still manual, writing transaction data on notes takes time especially if the transactions volume is large. The purpose of this article is to introduce a cashier application system that can be run on Android smartphones. The introduced cashier application has various menus such as managing goods/stock data, inventory, transaction services, and recording sales results. The shopping receipts generated by the cashier application can be printed on a portable printer directly or can be saved in the form of a pdf file. All transaction data is automatically recapitulated by the cashier application which can be displayed at a certain time range that can be selected with the search menu. After being trained starting from the installation process on smartphones and the operation of all existing features and menus, owners and employees at UD. Hardi Drum were asked to evaluate the level of usability of the application by answering a questionnaire. The calculation results of the questionnaire showed that the application has a usability value of 71.8 which means that the application was accepted at a good level. The introduced cashier application has the potential to increase service time efficiency.

Abstract

This research aims to assist farmers in controlling plant pests, birds and insect, by applying an appropriate electronic technology. The system operates in an automatic and remote-controlled modes using IoT technology.  We used a solar powered systems that are environmentally friendly with zero carbon emissions, as an energy source for the systems. The test results showed that the bird pest control system worked well according to the automatic and remote-control modes design. We compare those two methods to evaluate the most effective between those two methods. Bird pest control using two actuators, sound and movement, outsmart control using only sound by success ratio 70:50. The insect pest control system worked well with the remote-control mode through Telegram application on farmers’ smartphones.

Abstract

The development of science related to image processing is increasingly popular these days. The availability of technology to capture images well is now not difficult to find. Digital cameras have developed better with the increase in pixel value that can be produced from the camera's capture. Thresholding is an algorithm proposed in this paper to segment digital images which will then be read as the resulting segmented image. The thresholding method works with several steps, namely converting the RGB image color space to Grayscale, segmenting the image using the thresholding method, carrying out complement operations so that the object has a value of 1 (white), while the background has a value of 0 (black) and performing morphological operations to perfect it. the shape of the object in the binary image resulting from segmentation. The morphological operations carried out are in the form of filling holes, area opening, and erosion. This research uses MATLAB r2014a in developing the model.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPada artikel ini dibahas perancangan model otomatisasi restoran yang meliputi program komputer yang dapat menerima pesanan dan mengirimkan tagihan pembayaran serta robot yang dapat mengantar pesanan kepada pemesan secara otomatis. Robot bergerak mengikuti garis lintasan pada model restoran dimana meja-meja yang sudah ditempeli kartu Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) ditempatkan dipinggir lintasan. Peralatan utama yang digunakan meliputi mikrokontroler Arduino Uno, kit NodeMCU, telepon pintar dan komputer sebagai server. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem mampu menerima pesanan, robot mampu menerima data dari server dan kemudian bergerak maju dengan mengikuti garis lintasan menuju ke meja yang dimaksud dengan cara membaca kode pada tag RFID dan berhenti di depannya dengan jarak bervariasi antara 0,5 dan 1,5 cm dari sumbu kartu RFID. Kemudian, sistem menghasilkan faktur dan mengirimkannya ke pelanggan melalui email.Kata kunci: internet of things, line follower, otomatisasi layanan, RFID, robot beroda ABSTRACTThis article discusses the design of a restaurant automation model that includes a computer program for receiving orders and sending bills as well as a wheeled robot which can deliver orders to customers automatically. In the restaurant model there are tables that have been attached with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags placed alongside the track. The main equipment used includes Arduino Uno, NodeMCU, smartphone and computer. The test results showed that the system was able to accept orders. The robot was able to move forward by following the path to the intended table by reading the code on the RFID tag and stopping in front of it with a range of between 0.5 and 1.5 cm from the axis of the RFID card. Abstract

ABSTRAKSuhu kandang yang tidak sesuai dengan kondisi nyaman dan adanya gas amonia dapat menyebabkan tingginya angka kematian, pertumbuhan yang tidak optimal dan menurunnya produksi telur pada ayam. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk menghasilkan model sistem monitoring berbasis elektronis untuk memantau suhu dan gas amonia pada kandang ayam. Model sistem monitoring yang dihasilkan dikembangkan dengan menggunakan komponen elektronika komersial meliputi sensor suhu DHT-1, sensor gas amonia MQ-135, Arduino Pro Mini, Wemos D1, Telegram, dan Blynk. Hasil pengujian pada lingkungan dalam, luar ruangan dan kandang aktual menunjukkan sistem monitoring mampu mengukur suhu pada rentang 29-33,60oC dan gas amonia pada rentang 0,36-197,56 ppm secara konsisten tanpa ada perubahan hasil pengukuran yang drastis dan tiba-tiba. Sistem yang dihasilkan ini berpotensi untuk diuji pada skala yang luas dan dilakukan uji standar pengukuran.Kata kunci: pemantau suhu, pemantau gas amonia, pemantau kandang ayam, sistem berbasis mikrokontroler ABSTRACTThe temperature which is not suitable and the presence of ammonia gas cancause high mortality, suboptimal growth and decreased egg production of chickens. The purpose of this publication is to produce an electronic based monitoring system model for monitoring temperature and ammonia gas in chicken coops. The model was developed using DHT-1 sensor, MQ-135 sensor, Arduino Pro Mini, Wemos D1, Telegram, and Blynk applications. The test results in indoor, outdoor, and actual chicken coop environments showed that the monitoring system was able to measure temperature, i.e. 29-33.60oC and ammonia gas, i.e. 0.36-197.56 ppm consistently without any drastic and sudden changes in measurement results. The obtained system is potential to be tested in larger scale and measurement standard.Keywords: temperature monitoring, Ammonia gas monitoring, chicken coop monitoring, microcontroller based system

Abstract

Voltage, current, and frequency are three electrical energy variables that need to be monitored because if they do not comply with established standards, they can cause damage to electronic devices that use electrical energy. The objective of this article is to develop a submeter that can be used for monitoring both energy consumption and three power quality variables. The system was developed by using commercially available instruments involving the PZEM 004t sensor, the Wemos D1 mini microcontroller, and the Blynk platform on the smartphone. The use of the Blynk platform enables the system to log the monitored variables continuously in the form of a spreadsheet file and send them via email in order to be downloaded and used for further analysis. The results of calibration tests carried out using varying loads showed that the developed system has voltage measurement results with a difference of 1.35% when compared to measurement results using a commercial multimeter, while the difference for current measurements is 0.85%.

Abstract

Fenomena kemacetan pada sebuah kota besar umumnya di sebabkan karena banyaknya jumlah kendaraan sementara ruas jalan tidak berkembang setiap tahun. Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi sangatlah penting dalam membantu penyeselasaiaan masalah kemacean di kota besar. Metode yang digunakan Red - Green – Blue atau dapat disingkat dengan RGB adalah model warna pencahayaan yang biasa dipakai untuk metode alat input seperti scanner maupun alat keluaran seperti monitor yang menggunakan warna primer merah, hijau dan biru sedangkan dalam proses pengembangan sistem menggunakan Metode perancangan pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik SDLC (system Development Life Cycles). Hasil penelitian ini menguji kemampuan model RGB-YCBCR-Thresholding untuk membaca jumlah kendaraan dan menampilkan timer untuk merekayasa lalulintas.

Abstract

The partner of this social service activity is the Muhammadiyah 11 Junior High School Special Program as part of the residents in the preaching area of the Muhammadiyah Branch Management (PCM) of Nogosari, Boyolali Regency. Regarding electrical installation, the problem faced by partners is that many students are still unfamiliar with electrical installation especially on technical specifications. The objective of this social service is to increase the knowledge and skills of students in electrical installation. The method of implementing the service is in the form of socialization and training in 3 meetings with material including the basics of electrical installation, KWH meter readings, knowledge of cables and connections, electrical installation equipment, and the use of equipment in electrical installations. The effectiveness of the activities was evaluated by conducting pre-tests, post- tests and direct observations on training participants. The evaluation results showed that the training activities were able to increase knowledge, namely students are able to answer between 1-3 questions correctly when the pre- test increases to 5-13 questions during the post-test, the skills and motivation of the participants in the field of electrical installation. However, further training activities are still needed with more in-depth materials and a longer duration.

Abstract

Rice fields in Wonorejo Village are rainfed rice fields where farmers rely on rainwater to grow crops. To solve this problem, some farmers drill well on their farms, and use submersible water pumps to lift up water to distributed to the rice fields. Prior to this community service activity, the operation of the submersible pump was manually controlled. This operation method had a drawback where excessive irrigation often occurred that could result on damage agricultural commodities, energy waste, and inefficient working time. This community service offers a solution by providing semi-automatic switching devices that will help to overcome this problem. The installed devices replace simple manual switching tools, in which some are in already less safety condition. The device is equipped with a timer that can be used to control the pump automatically as desired, an overload protection component, and equipped with indicator lights that indicate three conditions: the pump is on, the pump is off, and the occurrence of disturbances in pump operation. Evaluation on this community service activities evaluation shows all partners involved in this activity, appreciate this activity, and wanted to be continued in the future.

Abstract

Konsumsi energi listrik perlu dipantau untuk meminimalisir biaya penggunaan energi listrik. Salah satu sumber pemborosan penggunaan energi listrik adalah adanya peralatan rumah tangga yang lupa dimatikan padahal di rumah tidak ada orang. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh banyak rumah tangga adalah belum tersedianya alat atau sistem untuk memantau penggunaan energi listrik dan pengendali sehingga penghuni dapat mematikan perangkat secara jarak jauh apabila lupa tidak mematikannya sebelum pergi. Tujuan daripengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk menerapkan teknologi berbasis mikrokontroler dan IoT untuk pengendalian dan pemantauan perangkat rumah tangga dan konsumsi energi listriknya. Alat yang sudah dibuat dan diterapkan dilengkapi dengan sensor PZEM 004T untuk membaca variabel konsumsi daya listrik dan kualitas daya listrik dan aplikasi Blynk pada smartphone sehingga penghuni dapat memantau apakah ada alat yang menyala dan dapat mematikan secara jarak jauh. Hasil pengabdian pada masyarakat menunjukkan alat yang diterapkan mempunyai unjuk kerja yang baik. Dengan diterapkannya alat ini memberikan dampak positif bagi penghuni yaitu dapat memantau konsumsi energi listriknya secara kontinyu, mengecek apakah ada alat rumah tangga yang lupa belum dimatikan, dan mematikannya secara jarak jauh dengan menggunakan aplikasi Blynk.
