Abstract

In the digital era, promotional skills through visual media are becoming increasingly important, especially for students and teachers in the field of Visual Communication Design (DKV). This community service activity aims to improve the digital promotion competence of students and teachers majoring in DKV at SMKN 1 Surabaya through training in making animated stickers. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research, with the participation of 17 students and 9 DKV teachers. This training involves several stages, starting from an introduction to the basics of making animated stickers, manufacturing practices, to implementation in digital promotional strategies. The research results show that this training was successful in improving students' and teachers' skills in creating effective animated stickers for digital promotions. Apart from that, training participants also showed an increased understanding of the importance of using animated stickers in more creative and attractive promotional campaigns. Thus, this training can be used as a model for developing other digital promotion skills in vocational education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of dance in increasing tolerance attitudes in MI/SD students. The object of the study involved 60 students from two schools, namely MI Ma'arif Sabilul Muttaqin and MI Kanzul Huda Ponorogo. The methods used were observation, interviews and surveys before and after involvement in dance activities. The results showed that involvement in dance, such as introduction to traditional and contemporary dance, group collaboration, and multicultural performances, was effective in increasing students' tolerance attitudes. They became more open to cultural differences, increased cooperation, empathy, and the ability to resolve conflicts. The challenges that emerged included differences in students' understanding of diversity and the limited time of the curriculum. In conclusion, dance has proven to be an effective learning medium in instilling tolerance values in students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on team member performance and work engagement, as well as psychological capital as a moderating variable, in the context of PT Petrokimia Gresik. Using a quantitative approach and PLS-SEM analysis method, the study findings reveal that transformational leadership positively affects team member performance, both directly and indirectly through increased work engagement. Employees led by transformational leaders show higher emotional and cognitive engagement in their work, which drives increased work performance. Furthermore, psychological capital significantly strengthens the relationship between work engagement and performance, indicating that hope, self-efficacy, optimism, and resilience are important in maintaining team member effectiveness amidst workplace challenges. These findings underscore the strategic importance of fostering transformational leadership styles and investing in team member psychological capital to enhance productivity and ensure sustainable performance in manufacturing organizations. This study contributes theoretically to the literature on organizational behavior and offers practical implications for management in designing interventions that enhance team member engagement and psychological resilience.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of financial information, macro environment, and subjective norms on investors’ behavior when making investment decisions in Indonesian capital market. It was conducted by a survey design and involved 190 individual investors in three big cities in Indonesia (Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung). By using Structural Equation Modeling with Warp-PLS 3.0, the results showed that macro factors had a significantly positive effect on the technical information, the financial information and the macro factors had a significantly positive effect on the investor intentions, and the intentions of investors and the financial information had a significantly positive impact on investment decisions. It was also found that the financial information held a great contribution to build investor intentions and investment decisions. Thus, Indonesian individual investors were rational and sophisticated investors. They were not influenced by the actions of other investors, analyst opinions, and media. The implication of this research was how to provide information comprehensively to investors, which was very important to influence their decisions.

Abstract

This study attempts to examine the financial literacy level of SME’s owner in East Java based on demographic aspect. The sample was taken from 65 SME’s in East Java which produce prominent local product. The data were collected by using survey method and deep interview. They were analyzed using descriptive explorative and also cross tabulation for examining SME’s financial literacy based on demographic attribute. Research found that that the financial literacy score of SME’s owner in East Java is good enough, where they have average score 55.8 with the same score of median and mode 66.7. Majority weakness of SME’s owner is the literacy on SME understanding of net asset and insurance premium. Otherwise, whole SME’s owner is fully understood that financial knowledge is so useful for the SME. Other finding shows that there is a relationship between financial literacy’s level and SME’s owner on demographic aspect such as gender, education, the business time established. It can be concluded that demographic aspects determine the financial literacy level of SME’s owner

Abstract

Nowadays, it becomes intriguing to observe the use of websites and social media by SMEs to market their products, especially in terms of seeing customer behavior. Some previous research found the effect of social media on attitude and consumer behaviors area, but less of the focus on website and social media quality and the effect on brand awareness, brand image, E-WoM, and purchase decision and the relationship among these concepts. This research examines the effect of websites and social media from the perspective of quality dimensions on brand awareness and the influence of brand awareness, E-WoM, and brand image on purchase decisions. In addition, this study has conducted purposive sampling for the 397 respondents who had transacted through the SMEs’ website or social media in two major cities in Indonesia: Jakarta and Surabaya. The PLS-SEM analysis technique was conducted in this study. The result found that there is a positive influence of website quality and social media quality on brand awareness, as well as the influence of brand awareness on E-WoM, brand image, and purchase decisions. In addition, this study also found the influence of E-WoM and brand image on purchase decisions. The findings suggest that it is very important for SMEs to formulate a strategy for improving the quality of their website and social media to strengthen their brand awareness of consumers.

Abstract

Spiritual leadership has recently become a hot topic of discussion because it is related to organizational commitment. The success of organizational commitment is strongly supported by the presence of meaning, membership and empowerment. This research was conducted at the State Owned Enterprise, PT. Pelindo (Region III) involving 160 respondents from various divisions who met the requirements. Structural equation modeling was applied using AMOS to explore the proposed relationships. The results of this study indicate that spiritual leadership has a direct effect on meaning, membership, and empowerment of the leaders. Meanwhile, meaning, membership, and empowerment of the leaders have a significant positive effect on organizational commitment. In addition, the results also show that meaning, membership, and empowerment of the leaders mediate the effect of spiritual leadership on organizational commitment. This research provides information to the leaders of PT. Pelindo (Region III) in order to be able to make effective decisions about why and under what circumstances leaders / supervisors can have high organizational commitment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and identify the influence of brand hate on negative word of mouth, continued intentions to use, and brand equity among McDonald's customers in Indonesia as a pro-Israel brand. Research was conducted on consumers or customers who had made purchases at McDonald's in the last few months with a total population of 105 people. The sample used was only 100 respondents because some samples did not match the criteria. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire via Google Form. Variable measurement uses a Likert scale with a scale of 1-7 and analysis for data processing uses the SEM-PLS method with the Smart-PLS application ver. 3.0. The results of the research show that there is an influence of brand hate on negative word of mouth, continued intentions to use, and brand equity on McDonald's customers in Indonesia as a pro-Israel brand.

Abstract

Mitra dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah siswa-siswa kelas XII pada Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 20 Surabaya. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi yang menunjukkan (1) kurangnya pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa untuk berpikir dewasa dan bertindak secara mandiri, (2) belum terbiasanya siswa dalam menerapkan tata krama di lingkungan sekolah, dan (3) kurangnya kesadaran untuk mengoptimalkan waktu yang ada untuk mendukung keberhasilan studi dan mendukung keberhasilan masa depan. Adapun solusi yang ditawarkan adalah melakukan pelatihan kepada para siswa SMA Negeri 20 Surabaya mengenai cara mentrasnformasi mind set untuk mengembangkan kepribadian dengan membangun kemandirian dan berperilaku sesuai dengan tata krama yang berlaku melalui pemanfaatan waktu dengan time management yang efektif sehingga dapat mendukung personal branding. Hal ini relevan dengan program pengembangan profil pelajar Pancasila elemen 1 (berakhlak mulia) dan elemen 4 (Mandiri). Tahapan yang dilaksanakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini terdiri dari lima tahap, yakni: tahap identifikasi kebutuhan, tahap persiapan, tahap penentuan jadwal pelatihan, tahap pelaksanaan (edukasi) atau tahap pelatihan dan tahap evaluasi.
