Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design an electronic magazine design so that students are interested in participating in the learning process. Many students find it difficult to understand biology concepts because they cannot see it directly. We can use Augmented Reality technology in e-magazine design as one of these innovations. Therefore, this descriptive research was conducted to design an electronic magazine based on Augmented Reality. The development process was carried out in two stages, namely analysis and design. The analysis phase was carried out by observation using a questionnaire and the design phase was carried out by utilizing various computer software. The result of this research was an e-magazine design that is integrated with Augmented Reality, so that students can see abstract biological objects by 3D Augmented Reality directly with the technology. These results are expected to be developed and conduct further testing

Abstract

This e-LKPD research uses a guided inquiry learning model aimed at analyzing the effect of e-LKPD on improving cognitive learning outcomes of high school students on the material of the circulatory system. The study used the One Group Pretest-Posttest design model with the research subjects of class XI MIPA 3. At the beginning of the implementation students were given pretest questions, then students studied e-LKPD using a guided inquiry learning model and were given posttest questions. This e-LKPD was developed using the ADDIE model. This model consists of 5 stages of development, namely the Analyze, Design, Development. Implementation and Evaluation stages. The results of the research on the development of e-LKPD show that: The feasibility value by media experts is very valid 3.76 (94) and the feasibility value of material experts is very valid 3.42 (85.5) and the feasibility value of practitioners is very good 3.79 (94.75 ). Student and student responses are very practical, the practicality test by students is called trial 1 3.59 (89.75) and trial 2 by students 3.64 (90.78) This shows that e-LKPD using the kvisoft flipbook maker produced in this research This is considered feasible to be used in learning material about the circulatory system. Cognitive learning outcomes of students using e-LKPD development results increased from 30.4 to 90.35 with a high value increase (N-Gain: 0.85).

The e-learning media in this study are electronic mind maps or prezi-based electronic mind maps. This research is research development (Research and Development), using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research reached the learning media development stage or the development stage. The testing phase for the development of the e-mind map is analyzed in the form of validity (media validation, material validation, construct validation), practicality, and student responses. The results of the validation analysis are in the very valid category, practicality is in the very practical category used in learning, and student responses are in the very good category and are well received by students in learning.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are skills students must have in the 21st century. These skills can improve analytical skills and make students think more carefully This study aims to determine the effect of circulation system e-module based on learning cycle 8e on high school students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is quasi-experimental, which consists of 2 classes, namely XI IPA 1 as the experimental class with treatment using e-module circulation system based on learning cycle 8e and XI IPA 2 as the control class, which uses conventional learning. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant effect of the circulation system e-module based on learning cycle 8e on students' critical thinking skills, where in the control class the average posttest score was far below the experimental class, which was 55.5 and the experimental class average posttest score was 69.5. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, a significant value (2 tailed) was obtained of 0.003 (p<0.05). The use of circulation system e-module based on learning cycle 8e has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Currently, the obstacles faced in learning process are found to be low student interest in learning. The main factor contributing to low student interest in learning is influenced by the lack of variety of learning media used by teachers in schools. The use of augmented reality (AR) in education is classified as an important research topic, although it is still being studied in its early stages. The purpose of this research was to develop learning media using e-magazine based on an AR to increase students' interest in learning. The developed e-magazine was carried out using model of ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). Parameters in this study was focused on the quality of e-magazine and students’ interest in learning. Testing students' interest in learning was conducted by using a questionnaire and given directly to students. The experiments were carried out in the control class consisting of 36 students and the experimental class consisting of 36 students. Results of the study found that the development of AR-based e-magazines were obtained in relatively good category. This value was supported by the validation value found in the very valid category. Analysis on the didactic, constructive and technical aspects were obtained a score of 3,82, 3,85 and 3.78, respectively, with a very valid category. The results also showed that the use of AR-based e-magazines could be increased students' interest in learning and students' interest in learning was obtained at a value of 0.342 in the high category. Thus, the use of AR-based e-magazines as digital learning media can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has encountered various challenges. Some of those include uneven internet connectivity, inadequate facilities, and an unsupportive learning environment. Those challenges gradually decreased students' learning motivation and result in learning loss. Their motivation could be influenced by several factors, including self-efficacy and self-resilience. This research aims to determine the extent to which self-efficacy and self-resilience influence learning loss compared to other factors. To achieve this goal, a quantitative approach and survey methods were applied in this cross- sectional research by using biology education students at Riau University as subjects. Its findings indicate a significant simultaneous influence of self-efficacy and self-resilience on students' learning loss. Facility disparities, unstable internet conditions, short learning time, and low interaction between instructors and students are among the factors causing learning loss in students during the distance learning. The conclusions that can be drawn from this research are learning loss is influenced by various factors, including self-efficacy and resilience. This study highlights that the low levels of self-efficacy and resilience observed in students are a result of the declining motivation for learning during remote education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of E-LKPD Differentiation on the Excretory System material in increasing students' curiosity and creative thinking. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a two-group pretest-posttest. The research sample was class XI.1 as the experimental class and XI.3 as the control class at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. The instruments included questionnaires, curiosity observation sheets, and written creative thinking tests. Data analysis was carried out descriptively quantitatively. The results showed an increase in pretest and posttest scores. The independent sample t-test on curiosity showed a t-count value = 5.261 and t-table = 1.664, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This means that there is a significant difference between the curiosity of students in the experimental and control classes. The same test for creative thinking showed a t-count = 1.923 and t-table = 1.664, so H0 was rejected again. This shows a significant difference between the creative thinking abilities of students in the experimental and control classes. Thus, Differentiated E-LKPD is effective in increasing students' curiosity and creative thinking skills.
