Abstract

Stroke infarction is a condition caused by an interruption in blood supply to the brain due to blockage, leading to loss of motor and sensory functions. This results in limb weakness, which impacts daily activities. Mirror therapy is a rehabilitative intervention involving the neuronal system to improve muscle strength in stroke patients with limb weakness. This study aims to evaluate the application of mirror therapy as a nursing intervention to enhance muscle strength in infarction stroke patients. Using a case study approach, data were collected through anamnesis, observation, physical examination, and medical records. Four nursing problems were identified: physical mobility disorders, verbal communication disorders, self-care deficits, and risk of falling. Mirror therapy was employed as the primary intervention for physical mobility disorders. Despite four days of therapy at a frequency of once per day, no significant improvement in muscle strength was observed in the patient with hemiparesis due to infarction stroke. It is recommended that mirror therapy be implemented over a longer duration and frequency for optimal results in nursing practice

Abstract

Cellulitis is a health problem of the skin which occurs due to infection in the sub-cutaneous part of the skin. Cellulitis causes damage to tissue integrity, where this tissue damage requires further action, bacteria exposed to the sub-cutaneous area can cause widespread damage. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the right type of wound care in treating this disease. This case study aims to obtain the effect of applying wound care using honey for the recovery of debrided necrotic cellulitis wounds. The research used is a descriptive case study using nursing care and a literature review. Participants in this study were debrided necrotic cellulitis patients. This case shows that the application of wound care to patients with debridement necrotic cellulitis experienced improved wound recovery, indicated by the presence of adhesion on both sides of the tissue, the wound was pink, there were no signs of infection, there appeared to be a wound on the right leg. with the first wound area 1.5 x 2.3 cm with a depth of 1.5 cm and the second wound with an area of 1.5 x 4.5 cm with a depth of < 1 cm and the third wound 1.5 x 6.5 cm with a depth of 1 cm. -2 cm. Nurses can treat wounds in patients with debridement necrotic cellulitis using honey

Abstract

Inflammation of the subcutaneous tissue resulting from Streptococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria is known as cellulitis. This research study aims to provide practical experience in assessment, diagnosis, planning, execution, and evaluation of direct and comprehensive nursing care for clients with integumentary system issues. When writing in a case study format, descriptive writing is used. These cases had difficulties with restricted physical mobility, poor skin tissue integrity, acute pain, and dietary inadequacies. The study's tactics are tailored to the specific health concerns of each participant, taking into account the predetermined goals and objectives. Addressing the root causes of the issues with the integumentary system is the goal of nursing care. Mr. S showed improvement in the nursing care process evaluation, with three nursing problems fully treated and one partially fixed. The findings of this scientific study align with previously developed tactics. This is inextricably linked to the family's provision of support, guidance from clinical instructors and academic supervisors, and the entire nursing care implementation process for Mr. S, who has integumentary system difficulties
