Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasy Eksperimental) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) Deskripsi hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing, 2) Deskripsi hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, 3) Perbandingan pengaruh model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene dengan jumlah peserta didik 205 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara “double random sampling” yaitu jumlah peserta didik dari 7 kelas dirandom dan didapatkan 2 kelas kemudian dirandom kembali dan didapatkan kelompok sampel yaitu kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen I (Inkuiri Terbimbing) dan kelas VII D sebagai eksperimen II (Problem Based Learning). Desain penelitian ini yang digunakan adalah “Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design”. Penelitian ini menggunakan Instrumen soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 item soal. Hasil perolehan analisis menunjukkan Hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dengan rata-rata N-gain 0,58 berada dalam kategori sedang. Hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan rata-rata N-gain 0,48 berada dalam kategori sedang. Hasil statistik inferensial yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh t hitung (2,27)> t tabel  (1,67 ) berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar pesera didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene Kab. Pangkep yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing lebih tinggi dari pada hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing lebih berpengaruh daripada model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the level of creative thinking ability of class VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar before and after the application of ClassPoint interactive media with the Discovery Learning model. 2) increasing the creative thinking skills of class VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar through the application of ClassPoint interactive media with the Discovery Learning model 3) There is a significant increase in the average value of creative thinking skills after applying ClassPoint interactive media with the Discovery Learning model. This type of research is experimental research (experimental research) using the Pre-Experimental Design. The treatment is the application of ClassPoint Interactive media with the Discovery Learning model in the experimental class. The research population was all class VIII students at SMPN 18 Makassar for the academic year 2022/2023 which consisted of 10 classes with a total of 300 students. The research sample was determined by Purposive Sampling Technique so that class VIII8 was assigned with a total of 30 students. The instrument used in the study was a test instrument in the form of essay questions containing indicators of the ability to think creatively as many as 10 items. Data collection was carried out by giving a Pretest and Posttest. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis of students' creative thinking abilities before application (pretest) were in the very less creative category with a value of 12.40 and after the application of ClassPoint interactive media with the Discovery Learning model (posttest) were in the moderately creative category with a value of 55.60. The increase in students' creative thinking skills is in the medium category with an N-Gain of 0.49. The results of inferential statistical analysis show that there is a significant increase in the average value of creative thinking skills after the application of ClassPoint interactive media with the Discovery Learning model.

Abstract

Abstrak. Saat ini, air bersih merupakan kebutuhan yang sangat penting, khususnya dalam lingkup rumah tangga sebagai penggunaan kebutuhan sehari-hari. Upaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan air bersih yang berkualitas, diperlukan pengolahan air yang sesuai dengan standar kesehatan yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesehatan. Masyarakat sekitar PPLH (Perlindungan dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup) Puntondo, Kecamatan Laikang, Kabupaten Takalar sebagian besar menggunakan fasilitas air dari sumber mata air sumur sebagai sumber air utama. Pelatihan teknologi pemurnian air ramah lingkungan pada masyarakat Sekitar PPLH Puntondo, Kecamatan Laikang, Kabupaten Takalar bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat sekitar mengenai teknologi yang dapat digunakan untuk menjernihkan air. Melalui pelatihan ini, masyarakat diarahkan untuk menerapkan teknologi pemurnian air dengan metode filtrasi menggunakan bahan alami. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas air bersih dengan menurunkan kadar mineral tanah, menghilangkan bau, warna dan membunuh mikroorganisme yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas air. Kegiatan ini mendapat sambutan yang sangat antusias dari masyarakat setempat dan berjalan dengan sangat baik. Melalui kegiatan ini, masyarakat di sekitar PPLH Puntondo dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang teknologi pemurnian air ramah lingkungan, sehingga mereka dapat mengolah air dengan lebih baik dan memperoleh air bersih yang sehat dan aman untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Teknologi pemurnian air, Filtrasi

Abstract

Perbedaan individu peserta didik membutuhkan perlakuan yang berbeda sesuai kebutuhan dan kemampuan awal peserta didik. Namun proses pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru dan belum pernah dilatihkannya keterampilan proses sains menyebabkan peserta didik kurang aktif dan berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, pemilihan inovasi pembelajaran penting dalam meciptakan proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik dan memperoleh perlakuan sesuai kemampuan awalnya. Salah satunya dengan menerapkan model Differentiated Science Inquiry (DSI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu pra-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bajeng Barat. Pengambilan sampel melalui teknik random sampling yaitu kelas VIII.A sebanyak 30 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar berupa tes pilihan ganda masing-masing sebanyak 20 soal. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan pretest dan posttest. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor rata-rata N-gain keterampilan proses sains sebesar 0,50 dan hasil belajar sebesar 0,58 setelah penerapan model DSI berada pada kategori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan skor rata-rata yang signifikan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bajeng Barat sebelum dan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Differentiated Science Inquiry (DSI).

Abstract

The curriculum of the pre-service Teacher Professional Education program requires prospective teachers to implement Classroom Action Research during the Field Experience Program. The implementation of Classroom Action Research is expected to improve the quality of teaching and learning practices in schools by developing teachers' reflective attitude towards student learning. This Community Partnership Program aims to improve the understanding of Biology teacher candidates who are members of the Pre-service Teacher Professional Education program, Makassar State University, regarding the principles and methodology of Classroom Action Research. This program was carried out face-to-face and online (Zoom meeting) in March 2023 with 35 participants. Service activities are divided into three stages, namely program planning, implementation, and evaluation of achievement targets. The survey results at the beginning of the activity showed that most prospective Biology teachers still had limited experience with the implementation of Classroom Action Research. However, during the activity, participants were actively involved in discussing the topic of problems and solutions to learning problems at school, determining the learning cycle, and assessing student learning outcomes. At the end of the activity, prospective teachers were also able to make a Classroom Action Research plan.

Abstract

Natural tourism areas are places that prioritize the potential of natural resources as tourism objects, both in their natural state and after cultivation efforts. However, apart from its aesthetic and economic benefits, tourist areas also have several problems, one of the problems is an environmental problem. One of the famous natural attractions in the South Sulawesi area is the protection and management of the Puntondo environment. The aim of this community service activity is that through outreach and training activities it is hoped that it will be able to increase the knowledge and skills of the community, both peoples who living in the PPLH Puntondo area and around the PPLH Puntondo area regarding processing organic waste or food waste into compost. The activity began with a presentation through socialization of material about organic waste and compost fertilizer in general, then continued with a short simulation and introduction to tools and materials for making compost fertilizer from organic waste. The compost making process is carried out in a 20 L composter using EM-4 bioactivator. The results obtained from this community service activity are an increase in the knowledge and skills of the community in the Puntondo PPLH area regarding processing organic waste into compost.

Abstract

This training aims to increase the knowledge and skills of participants in making nata de coco and open their insights about the application of conventional biotechnology in everyday life. This training was held at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 13 Makassar involving 15 students as participants. This training goes through the stages of 1) preparation 2) implementation; providing knowledge through lecture, question and answer, and discussion methods; practice making Nata de Coco. 3) Evaluation. This training utilizes conventional biotechnology principles, namely fermentation using the microorganism Acetobacter xylinum to convert sugar in cellulose media that forms the nata layer. The trainees were very enthusiastic about the training and successfully made Nata de Coco products. Nata de Coco produced by participants varied in thickness, color, aroma, and texture, most participants succeeded in producing Nata de Coco with good quality.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program implementation activity was carried out with the aim of providing education to the community, especially science teachers within the scope of the Maros Regency Science MGMP. This activity specifically aims to increase the knowledge and skills of science teachers in developing biotechnology for processing soybeans into fermented soy milk (Soyghurt). Evaluation of knowledge through filling out questionnaires. The results of the evaluation of service activities show that the average participant response to the process of making Soyghurt from the training material aspect is in the strongly agree (58%) and agree (42%) categories, while the training method aspect is in the strongly agree (68%) category. and the agree category (32%). Thus, it was concluded that overall, the training materials and methods of implementing service were considered useful and very effective in achieving training objectives, as well as providing positive learning experiences to participants.

Abstract

One way that teachers can realize the success of learning in training students to be independent and able to think creatively is by choosing a learning model that suits the learning material. One of the learning models that can improve students' creative thinking is the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The PjBL model is also one of the recommended models in independent curriculum learning. The project-based learning model is an innovative learning that is student centered and places the teacher as a motivator and facilitator, where students are given the opportunity to work autonomously to construct their learning Educators must be able to develop learning tools as one of the keys in establishing a learning system in accordance with the objectives of the learning itself. However, most teachers, especially science teachers in Maros City, are still lacking in understanding about PjBl tools and the syntax of PjBL itself. Therefore, a training or workshop on Project Based Learning Device Development in Science Learning in Maros City was held.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 2 Parigi merupakan salah satu sekolah di Desa Sicini Kabupaten Gowa Sulawesi Selatan yang memiliki fasilitas laboratorium yang memadai untuk mata pelajaran IPA, meskipun demikian pembelajaran IPA yang diterapkan selama ini masih sebatas pemberian materi pembelajaran di kelas tanpa dilakukannya praktikum. Pelatihan praktikum IPA bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam praktikum IPA bagi peserta didik. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Parigi, Desa Sicini, Kecamatan Parigi, Kabupaten GOWA. Pelalatihan ini ditujukan kepada para siswa SMP Negeri 2 parigi yang terdiri dari kelas VII, kelas VIII dan kelas IX berjumlah 24 orang. Materi praktikum yang dilatihkan adalah materi mengenai Pengenalan Mikroskop, Struktur dan Fungsi Tumbuhan, Genetika dan pengujian asam basa dengan menggunakan indikator alami. Peserta didik memberikan apresiasi yang sangat baik terhadap pelatihan yang telah diberikan karena materi yang dapat lebih mudah dipahami, dengan pelatihan ini, peserta didik juga mendapatkan pengalaman baru dalam pembelajaran IPA. Sebanyak 84% peserta didik merasa sangat puas dan 16% puas mengenai kegiatan pelatihan praktikum IPA yang dilakukan. Pelatihan serupa diharapkan dapat lagi dilaksanakan terutama pemanfaatan kit IPA yang terdapat di laboratorium sekolah.
