Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi siswa MTs S Muhammadiyah Alamanda, Kabupaten Pasaman Barat mengenai metode mengajar guru pada era new normal. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian adalah 55 orang siswa kelas VII MTs S Muhammadiyah Alamanda Kabupaten Pasaman Barat Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan angket dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran di MTs S Muhammadiyah Alamanda di era new normal dilakukan secara tatap muka terbatas di dalam kelas (dibagi berdasarkan sift dan waktu belajar dikurangi) dan daring. Menurut siswa, guru sudah mampu mengelola kelas dengan baik, baik secara daring maupun di dalam kelas. Siswa cukup dilibatkan dalam pembelajaran, dan guru memberikan umpan balik berupa pujian. Siswa berpendapat bahwa pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dapat mendukung tercapainya tujuan belajar dan lebih dari 50% mampu memahami materi yang disampaikan guru. Waktu belajar di dalam kelas yang terbatas cukup menyulitkan siswa, namun guru mampu mensiasatinya dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa dan tugas yang dikumpulkan secara daring. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajara di era new normal ini dapat dilakukan dengan baik, dengan catatan guru harus mampu merancang dan mendesain pembelajan inovatif dan variatif secara sistematis, serta disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa dan tetap menyenangkan walaupun dilakukan secara daring.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems found in class VII MTsN 1 Pasaman Barat that students' motivation is low in learning, and student learning outcomes are still below the KKM.This study aims to determine whether the Accelerated Learning learning model has an effect on student motivation and learning outcomes in class VII MTsN 1 Pasaman Barat in the 2021/2022 school year. This research is a type of pre-experimental research with the research design of The Static Group Comparison Design. The results showed that the students' motivation to learn mathematics was processed using the t-test at a significant level = 0.05, the t-count t-table value was 1.68 and using Minitab software the P-Value = 0.020 = 0.05 so that H0 was rejected. and H1 is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the Accelerated Learning learning model has a significant effect on the learning motivation of class VII MTsN 1 Pasaman Barat students in the 2021/2022 academic year. Students' mathematics learning outcomes were processed using the t-test at a real level = 0.05, the value of tcount ttable was 1.68 and from Minitab Software calculations obtained P-Value = 0.010 = 0.05 so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. So, it can be concluded that the Accelerated Learning learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class VII MTsN 1 Pasaman Barat students in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

Quasi-experimental research or quasi-experimental research is an innovation from true experimenters, including difficult research in the fields of education and social. Although this research is difficult to do, many researchers are also interested in using a quasi-experimental design in conducting research, especially in the field of mathematics. The high interest of researchers in this study is due to the fact that quasi-experimental research is most suitable to be applied in research in the field of mathematics education which is the subject of instructional research by educators and students. Quasi-experiments are used to make it easier to control due to non-functioning due to the control group as an external variable that also has an effect. The study conducted in this study used a literature review, broadly speaking, research data collection was based on observations of related research journal articles that had been carried out by other researchers before. Quasi-experimental studies as a research vehicle that aims to examine the application of quantitative research in testing students' problem-solving abilities. Researchers need more accurate methods to be applied, theoretical studies and analysis results can be concluded that quasi-experimental research can be used as an alternative to problem solving in problem-based mathematics learning. Based on the analysis of the researcher's interest, it can be seen that in fact the researcher uses a test instrument to see the effect of solving students' mathematical problems by applying the random sampling technique.               Keywords: Quasi Experiment, Mathematical Problem Solving, Quantitative

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep matematika merupakan suatu aspek yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran dan menjadi modal utama dalam menyelesaikan pembelajaran matematika. Self concept merupakan salah satu faktor intern dan juga suatu fondasi sangat penting untuk keberhasilan seseorang. Rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika siswa cenderung diduga ada hubungan dengan self concept siswa. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil observasi dan wawancara di MTsN 8 Agam tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui hubungan self concept dengan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VII MTsN 8 Agam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTsN 8 Agam yang berjumlah 93 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode random sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner self concept dan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t untuk menguji kesignifikanan hubungan self concept dengan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara self concept dengan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VII MTsN 8 Agam tahun pelajaran 2021/2022.

Abstract

Pembelajaran lebih mudah oleh siswa apabila materi disajikan dengan menggunakan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Penggunaan konteks membantu siswa dalam penguasaan literasi matematika. Salah satu konteks yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah budaya Minangkabau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan soal literasi matematika konteks budaya Minangkabau yang berkriteria valid, praktis dan efektif/memiliki efek potensial. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Development Research dengan menggunakan tahapan pendahuluan dan evaluasi formatif ( expert-review, one to one, and small-group ), dan field-test .Pengembangan soal ini dilakukan di kelas IXB MTsN 7 Agam dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain lembar validasi, angket, dan tes. Lembar validasi diisi oleh ahli, angket dan tes diisi oleh siswa. Hasil penelitian pengembangan memperoleh data validitas sebesar 87.5 dengan Kriteria sangat valid, kepraktisan mencapai 88.9 dengan kriteria sangat praktis, dan efektif/memiliki efek potensial. Efek yang dikembangkan adalah memiliki manfaat yang tinggi untuk siswa karena dapat memotivasi dan meningkatkan potensi literasi matematika siswa It is easier for students to learn mathematics if the material is presented using their daily context. The use of context helps students master mathematical literacy. One of the contexts that can be used in learning mathematics is the Minangkabau culture. The purpose of this study is to develop mathematical literacy questions using the Minangkabau cultural context with valid, practical, and effective criteria/potential effects. This research is Development Research using preliminary and formative evaluation stages (expert-review, one to one, and small-group), and field-test. The developed mathematical literacy question were carried out in class IXB of MTsN 7 Agam with 30 students. The instruments used include validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. Validation sheets were filled out by experts while questionnaires and tests were filled out by students. The results of the development research obtained data on the validity of 87.5 with very valid criteria, practicality of 88.9 with very practical criteria, and effective/potential effects. The questions developed are highly beneficial for students because they are able to motivate and improve students' mathematical literacy.

Abstract

The research aims to determine students' interest in learning and mathematical abilities by applying the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model in class IX SMPN 1 Koto Balingka. This type of research is pre-experimental with the research design The Static Group Comparison Design. The sample in this study were students in class IX 1 as the experimental class and students in class IX 4 as the control class, amounting to 22 students each. The instruments used were a questionnaire of students' interest in learning and a test of mathematical problem solving abilities in the form of a description test. Questionnaire data analysis techniques were processed using percentage calculations while the problem solving ability test was processed by t-test. Based on the results of data analysis of students' interest in learning questionnaires, it was obtained that the percentage of 65.44% was classified as high criteria and tests of students' mathematical problem solving abilities were calculated using the t-test obtained t_count = 4.24 and t_table = 1.68 because t_count > t_table means H_O was rejected, while using the Minitab software obtained P-value = 0.000, α = 0.05 and P-value <α. So, it can be concluded that students' interest in learning mathematics by following the CPS model is high and the math problem solving abilities of students using the CPS model are better than conventional learning in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Koto Balingka, West Pasaman Regency, 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The importance of problem-solving skills for student sand the future is the background of this research. According to Polya, there are 4 indicators of problem solving ability, namely understanding the problem, planning the solution, implementing the settlement plan and see ingorre interpreting it. Therefore this study aims to describe students' mathematical problem-solving skills in solving problem son the material system of three-variable line are quations based on Polya stages. This study uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subject susedint his study were 20 students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Bukittinggi. Research data collection techniques using a test description of problem solving abilities as many as 4 questions. From the results of the analysis of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the mathematical problem solving abilities of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Bukittinggi, totaling 20 people, are divided into high, medium and low categories. Students with high category problem solving abilities totaled 15 people, students with medium category problem solving abilities totaled 4 people and student with low category problem solving abilities totaled 1 person with an average problem solving ability score obtained of 80.27. The students' mathematical problem-solving abilities varied, for the indicator of understanding the problem, the percentage of achievement was obtained by 64.16%, for the indicator for planning completion, the percentage of achievement was obtained by 75%, for indicators of carrying out planning for problem solving, anachievement percentage of 100% is obtained and for indicators of view ingorre interpreting, anachieveent percentage of 63.12% is obtained. Based on these findings, it is hoped that students can study harder by doing more practice on questions, especially SPLTV material and for teachers to be able to differentiate the problem-solving abilities possessed by each student. Abstract

Problem solving is the most important thing in learning mathematics and plays a very important role in the next era. However, not all students are able to master this problem, therefore further research is needed. The aim of this research was to describe a problem-solving ability with self-efficacy. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were taken by 26 students/i XI – IPS 1 Mandairi. From this study there were 2 instruments, namely self-efficacy questionnaires and problem solving questions. This study shows that (1) there are still students who leave blank answers. (2) between problem solving and self-efficacy is still weak where r=0.0648. (3) almost all students have a good level of self-efficacy where the levels range from quite high to very low. Abstract

Learning style is an important element that is considered in the learning process in order to realize the expected goals of learning mathematics. Learning style refers to the method of learning that students prefer, but there are still many students who do not know and understand their own learning style. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning styles on students' mathematics learning outcomes in class VII SMP N 1 Ampek Angkek in the 2022 academic year. 2023. This type of research is correlational with the nature of Ex post facto research. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire. Data analysis using SPSS. In accordance with the data analysis, it can be concluded: "(1) for learning styles on mathematics learning outcomes, the regression equation Y = 17.060 + 0.803 X is obtained. The tcount value > ttable with a significant level of 5%, namely 3.521 > 2.048, and the correlation coefficient value is 0.554 and R square or the coefficient of determination is 0.307 so that it can be interpreted that learning styles have a very small influence contribution, namely 30.7%, others are influenced by other factors outside the X variable. So it can be concluded that learning styles have a significant influence on learning outcomes mathematics for class VII students of SMP N 1 Ampek Angkek for the Academic Year 2022/2023”. Abstract

The learning outcomes of students in class XI at SMA N 1 Gunuang Omeh District on trigonometric material are still below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) and the PH 1 mathematics score in class XI-MIPA for the 2022/2023 Academic Year on trigonometric material is still low. The purpose of this study is to determine the types of learning difficulties experienced by students in trigonometric material in mathematics learning. The method used in this study is a descriptive type qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 6 out of 29 students of class XI-MIPA at SMA N 1 Gunuang Omeh District in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection using tests and through interviews. The test is carried out as one of the considerations in the taking of the subject and to map the learning difficulties of students in trigonometric material. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted to identify the difficulties experienced by students in learning trigonometric material. The difficulty experienced by students in using concepts is caused because students do not understand in defining concepts that exist in trigonometric material (sine, cosine, and tangents). The difficulty of students in understanding the principle used is due to the difficulty in students in calculating operations, students are unable to determine the comparative value at a privileged angle in trigonometric material. Then, students have difficulty in solving problems in verbal form because students have difficulty translating and associating problems with concepts in trigonometry material. Therefore, schools should be able to further strengthen the understanding of basic concepts in mathematics, especially trigonometric materials. Students are able to master the basic concepts for solving a problem in trigonometry, such as basic concepts in the form of roots, pythagorean theorem and trigonometric comparisons in mathematics learning.
