Abstract

In order to always be able to exist and develop their lives, humans will continue to develop knowledge through a learning process that starts from a philosophical thought using a scientific thinking pattern. In the scientific context, not all philosophical thought processes can be said to be scientific knowledge. In addition, scientific knowledge also requires a means to actualize it. This research intends to find out: 1) what is meant by scientific knowledge? and 2) what are the means of scientific knowledge? This research is library research. Research data collection was carried out using documentation techniques. The data analysis used inductive analysis. Based on the data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that scientific thinking is thinking with the steps of the scientific method such as problem formulation, hypothesis submission, literature review, testing hypotheses and drawing conclusions. All steps of thinking with the scientific method must be supported by good tools/means, so it is hoped that the results of the scientific thinking that we do get good results too. To be able to carry out scientific thinking activities properly, facilities in the form of language, logic, mathematics and statistics are needed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of integrating local Islamic traditions and a love-based curriculum on the formation of religious character among eighth-grade students at MTs Darun Najah Bangun Jaya. This research employs a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The population consists of 60 students, with a sample of 52 students selected using simple random sampling. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Instrument testing was conducted through validity and reliability tests, while data analysis used multiple linear regression. The results show that the integration of local Islamic traditions has a significant effect on students’ religious character. The love-based curriculum also has a significant effect on students’ religious character. Furthermore, both variables simultaneously have a significant influence on the formation of students’ religious character. This indicates that the integration of local Islamic traditions and a love-based curriculum can create a holistic learning process in shaping students’ religious character. In conclusion, the integration of local Islamic traditions and a love-based curriculum is an effective strategy in improving students’ religious character in Islamic schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines the influence of internalizing religious traditional values through a love-based curriculum on the religious attitudes of eleventh-grade students at Madrasah Al-Furqon. The degradation of students' religious behavior amid rapid globalization has created a gap between doctrinal understanding and its actualization in daily conduct, necessitating a pedagogical approach that integrates affective dimensions into religious education. This study employed a quantitative correlational-causal design involving 108 respondents selected through proportional random sampling from a population of 148 students. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire comprising 60 validated items across both variables, with reliability coefficients of 0.874 and 0.861 respectively. Data analysis utilized simple linear regression processed through SPSS version 26.0. Results reveal that the internalization of religious traditional values through the love-based curriculum is predominantly categorized as high (48.1%), while students' religious attitudes are also predominantly high (47.2%). Simple linear regression analysis produced the equation Ŷ = 32.14 + 0.589X with a coefficient of determination R² = 0.472, indicating that the independent variable contributes 47.2% to the variance of students' religious attitudes. The F-value of 94.32 with significance 0.000 confirms that the love-based curriculum significantly and positively influences religious attitude formation among students. Keywords: internalization of values, love-based curriculum, religious attitudes ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh internalisasi nilai tradisi keagamaan melalui kurikulum berbasis cinta terhadap sikap religius siswa kelas XI Madrasah Al-Furqon. Kesenjangan antara penguasaan materi keagamaan dan aktualisasi perilaku religius dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di tengah arus globalisasi menjadi permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi urgensi kajian ini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional-kausal dengan melibatkan 108 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik proportional random sampling dari populasi berjumlah 148 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket skala Likert dengan 60 butir valid yang mencakup dua variabel utama, dengan koefisien reliabilitas masing-masing sebesar 0,874 dan 0,861. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana melalui perangkat lunak SPSS versi 26.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai tradisi keagamaan melalui kurikulum berbasis cinta berada pada kategori tinggi sebesar 48,1%, sedangkan sikap religius siswa juga dominan berada pada kategori tinggi sebesar 47,2%. Persamaan regresi yang terbentuk adalah Ŷ = 32,14 + 0,589X dengan koefisien determinasi R² = 0,472, yang berarti variabel bebas berkontribusi sebesar 47,2% terhadap varians sikap religius siswa. Nilai F hitung sebesar 94,32 dengan signifikansi 0,000 membuktikan bahwa kurikulum berbasis cinta berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pembentukan sikap religius siswa.   Kata Kunci: internalisasi nilai, kurikulum berbasis cinta, sikap religius

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the understanding and skills of students participating in the 82nd Community Service Program (KKN) at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang in writing and publishing scientific articles based on community service activities. The activity was conducted over 22 days and involved 30 students from various academic programs. The activity employed a service-learning approach, comprising the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in the participants’ abilities, marked by an increase in the average score from 50.6 on the pre-test to 76.4 on the post-test. Improvements occurred across all aspects, particularly in understanding article structure and the ability to organize discussions. Additionally, participants were able to produce more systematic article drafts that adhered to scientific writing guidelines. This activity also fostered greater student awareness of the importance of scientific publication as an outcome of community service activities. The activity had limitations, including the relatively short duration of the mentoring, the heterogeneity of participants’ abilities, and limited access to scientific reference sources. Therefore, it is recommended that universities develop more sustainable mentoring programs, that faculty members provide guidance through the publication stage, and that students independently improve their academic literacy. Institutional support is also needed to provide access to references and a publication monitoring system to ensure the sustainability of the program’s outcomes. This finding theoretically reinforces the concept of reflective learning. In practice, this activity improves the quality of Community Service Program (KKN) outcomes, particularly scientific publications, and can serve as a model for mentoring in community service at universities.
