Abstract

PT.XYZ is an industrial manufacturing company which produces egg trays. The problems being faced by this company is that since it started operating, it never applied a system in production planning and controlling which now causes many problems. This resulted in the production cost increasing rapidly. Therefore in this study, the researchers conducted a research to solve and prevent the problems from resurfacing again. The method chosen by the researchers is Manufacturing Resources Planning, for this method is very complexed and detailed, therefore, more aspects will be covered. This method is also expected to help the company in the future.

Abstract

The production process of the company/manufacturing industry still often get obstacles, it made the product specifications produced are not in accordance with the production. However, the company must also evaluate and improve its production process. One of them is PT. XYZ, which is engaged in the production of concrete, namely electric poles and piles. This company produces electric poles with various sizes including 9 meters, 11 meters, 12 meters. This research was conducted to measure the level of productivity and identify problems in the production process of electric poles at PT XYZ. This research used Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) as the methode, which is a calculation carried out to determine the effectiveness of the machine. There are three elements of productivity as well as equipment effectiveness that can be measured by Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), namely availability, performance efficiency, and product quality level. With the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method in this study, this research tried to measure the level of effectiveness of the electric pole production process and found the root cause of the problems that hindered the achievement of productivity at PT XYZ.

Abstract

Salah satu yang menjadi aset penting bagi perusahaan ialah perencanaan produksi dan pengendalian persediaan bahan baku, apabila terjadi kesalahan pada sistem perencanaan dan pengendalian akan berdampak buruk terhadap kelancaran proses produksi perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peramalan kebutuhan untuk periode selanjutnya, jumlah pesanan yang optimal, penjadwalan waktu yang tepat terhadap pemesanan bahan baku , dan penentuan metode yang menghasilkan biaya paling optimal. Teknik analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dalam penelitian ini berawal dari pembuatan jadwal induk produksi, peramalan persediaan, menghitung ukuran lot, penentuan metode lot sizing yang optimal, hingga penentuan waktu pemesanan bahan baku. Perbandingan peramalan persediaan kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa metode moving average menghasilkan nilai MAD, MSE dan MAPE terendah dengan jumlah permintaan sebanyak 43 kg dibandingkan dengan metode exponential smoothing dengan jumlah permintaan sebanyak 46,8 kg.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan bersih bahan baku adalah selisih antara kebutuhan kotor dengan persediaan ditangan, penentuan besarnya pesanan dengan dua metode menghasilkan, dimana metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) merupakan metode dengan total cost terendah sebesar Rp.1.538.400 , dibandingakan dengan metode Lot For Lot (LFL) sebesar Rp.1.650.000. Kata Kunci: Peramalan permintaan, pengendalian persediaan dan material requirement planning.

Abstract

Pengolahan pasca panen yang baik dan benar akan berdampak baik pada kualitas tanaman. Terutama budidaya kopi, terkhusus proses pengolahan pasca panen yang tepat akan meningkakan kualitas kopi. Melihat permintaan pasar yang tinggi akan kopi Indonesia dan keberagaman jenis kopi berdasarkan daerah tanamnya, sehingga dirasa perlu memberikan edukasi kepada petani kopi karo desa Buluhnaman dalam menambah informasi juga pengetahuannya akan proses pengolahan pasca panen buah kopi, petani kopi harus berbenah dan melakukan perbaikan. Desa Buluhnaman terletak 9 km dari kaki gunung sinabung dikarenakan letusan gunung maka petani mengubah jenis tanaman yang tahan akan cuaca panas yaitu kopi. Kopi adalah tanaman baru bagi petani yang berada di Desa Buluhnaman Kabupaten Karo yang merupakan mitra dari tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) dengan skema Pemberdayaan Kemitraan Masyarakat yang berkolaborasi dan didanai hibah dari Direktorat Riset, Teknologi, dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (DRTPM). Mitra memiliki kendala seperti keterbatasan pengetahuan, keterbatasan alat dan teknologi dalam pengolahan pasca panen, dan pemasaran produk. Dengan pendampingan dan pendidikan yang diberikan maka permasalahan mitra dapat dipecahkan bersama. Meningkatnya pengetahuan petani dalam tahapan pemahaman tentang pengolahan pasca panen kopi sangat berperan penting dalam menentukan kualitas dan harga jual kopi di pasar. Dengan edukasi dan monitoring yang tetap dilakukan maka petani menjadi paham tahapan proses pengolahan pasca panen. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dengan pendampingan dan pendidikan bagi petani kopi karo di desa Buuhnaman Kecamatan Munte Kabupaten Karo dengan memberikan mesin kupas kulit tanduk dan mesin sangrai kopi.

Abstract

Digital transformation can increase competitiveness and customer loyalty and become a business strategy, especially in the context of data security and trust. This study aims to empirically analyze the impact of digital transformation on customer loyalty, emphasizing the mediating role of customer trust at PT Pos Indonesia Pematangsiantar branch. Quantitative research using explanatory surveys of 100 customers selected by purposive sampling technique. The data collection instrument, with the distribution of questionnaires with a Likert scale of 5, has been tested for validity and reliability. Partial Least Squares-Structural Modeling based on SmartPLS 3. The results showed that digital transformation had a significant impact on customer loyalty trust (β = 0.836; p < 0.001) and loyalty (β = 0.906; p < 0.001). However, trust did not significantly impact loyalty (β = 0.076; p < 0.181). The study found that digital transformation can foster loyalty by providing a personalized, secure, and transparent service experience. This study's theoretical and practical implications are the strengthening of trust-based digital strategies for the postal services sector in developing countries

Abstract

This study investigates the strategic role of gold as a haven asset amid the anticipated 2025 global tax war, characterised by rising fiscal protectionism, currency volatility, and geopolitical fragmentation. Employing a qualitative literature review, the research synthesises scholarly findings, institutional data, and financial commentary to examine how gold performs under fiscal-driven crises. The findings reveal that gold remains a reliable hedge against inflation, exchange rate risk, and systemic policy shocks, supported by strong institutional trust and long-term investor demand. However, most prior studies focus on financial or monetary crises, leaving a significant gap in understanding gold's behaviour during state-led fiscal confrontations. This paper contributes by framing gold's relevance through a multi-dimensional lens, incorporating macroeconomic policy, digital investment behaviour, and central bank strategy. Further research is recommended to explore the impact of digital gold adoption in emerging markets and its implications for retail investor behaviour.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance in Bakso X. The research method used is of a quantitative type. The population is 30 employees who work at Bakso X. The instrument used to collect data is in the form of questionnaires. The data can be statistically analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that partially or simultaneously the test results had a significant value of 0.000. Based on this, it can be concluded that work discipline and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

PT XYZ Unit Pabrik Kernel Oil (PKO) Sei Mangkei merupakan unit pengolahan inti sawit yang menghasilkan Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO) dan Palm Kernel Meal (PKM). Dalam proses produksi, keandalan mesin First Press dan Second Press sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas produk dan efisiensi operasional. Namun, pada kondisi aktual masih sering terjadi kerusakan mesin, khususnya pada komponen screw yang mengalami keausan, sehingga menyebabkan meningkatnya oil losses dan menurunnya kinerja mesin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sistem pemeliharaan, perawatan, dan perbaikan mesin First Press dan Second Press menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi langsung di lapangan, wawancara dengan pihak terkait, serta pengumpulan data kerusakan mesin. Setiap potensi kegagalan dianalisis berdasarkan nilai severity, occurrence, dan detection untuk menentukan Risk Priority Number (RPN). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keausan screw merupakan mode kegagalan dengan nilai RPN tertinggi dan menjadi prioritas utama perbaikan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perbaikan sistem pemeliharaan melalui penjadwalan perawatan yang lebih teratur, peningkatan pengawasan kondisi mesin, serta penerapan standar operasional prosedur yang konsisten. Dengan penerapan rekomendasi tersebut, diharapkan keandalan mesin dapat meningkat, risiko kerusakan dapat diminimalkan, dan target produksi perusahaan dapat tercapai secara optimal. Abstract

Mesin Ripple Mill merupakan salah satu peralatan utama dalam pemecahan biji kelapa sawit pada stasiun kernel. Kerusakan yang terjadi pada mesin ini dapat menyebabkan downtime dan menurunkan efektivitas produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan prioritas perbaikan komponen mesin serta menyusun jadwal preventive maintenance yang optimal pada mesin Ripple Mill di PT XYZ. Metode yang digunakan adalah Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengidentifikasi potensi kegagalan dan menentukan prioritas perbaikan berdasarkan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN), serta Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) untuk mengukur tingkat efektivitas mesin melalui aspek availability, performance, dan quality. Hasil analisis FMEA menunjukkan bahwa keausan rotor bar dan keausan square bar merupakan jenis kerusakan dengan nilai RPN tertinggi sebesar 336 sehingga menjadi prioritas utama dalam tindakan pemeliharaan. Hasil perhitungan OEE menunjukkan nilai 90,32% yang telah memenuhi standar efektivitas mesin internasional (≥85%). Berdasarkan perhitungan Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), interval preventive maintenance direkomendasikan setiap 531 jam operasi untuk rotor bar dan square bar, 797 jam untuk van belt, serta 1594 jam untuk motor dan elektro motor feeder short. Penerapan jadwal preventive maintenance tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keandalan dan efektivitas kinerja mesin Ripple Mill. Kata Kunci :   Preventive Maintenance, Ripple Mill, FMEA, OEE, MTBF

Abstract

The increasing demand for sustainable and reliable energy solutions in remote and off-grid communities has led to the exploration of hybrid bio-solar renewable energy systems. This paper examines the implementation of a hybrid bio-solar system with energy storage to improve microgrid stability and support local sustainability. By combining biomass and solar power with energy storage, the system provides a reliable, clean, and cost-effective energy supply, addressing intermittency and enhancing grid resilience. The research covers system design, power flow simulation, voltage and frequency stability, and both economic and environmental analyses to assess system effectiveness. The results show that the hybrid bio-solar system significantly improves energy reliability, reduces carbon emissions, and offers a more stable energy supply compared to diesel or grid-based systems. The system's scale and configuration are crucial in optimizing cost-effectiveness, with larger systems yielding better long-term benefits. Local community involvement is key to managing and maintaining the system, ensuring its sustainability. Compared to other renewable energy hybrids like wind-solar or solar-diesel, the bio-solar system offers superior reliability and cost-efficiency, especially where biomass is abundant. The paper concludes with recommendations for scaling these systems and emphasizes the importance of supportive policies for accelerating sustainable energy transitions.
