Abstract

The Covid-19 virus is a new Corona virus that can cause disease in animals and humans. Covid-19 began to spread in Wuhan and developed into a pandemic. This disease causes various symptoms and can even cause death. One of the efforts being made by the government currently to control the spread of Covid-19 is by vaccinating its citizens. The aim of this research was to determine the level of public anxiety about the Covid-19 vaccine. The research method was carried out quantitatively with a descriptive analysis design. The survey was carried out by distributing the Depression Anxity Stress Scale (DASS 42) questionnaire to people who were vaccinated against Covid-19 at the Muhammadiyah University of Tasikmalaya. The results of the research showed that the level of public anxiety was mostly mild, namely 95 respondents (90.48%) while the level of anxiety was moderate, namely 10 respondents (9.52%). The conclusion in this study is that people's anxiety levels are in the mild to moderate range.

Abstract

As chronic kidney failure increases, patients undergoing hemodialysis experience disturbance of sleep quality and anxiety. Patients who have been diagnosed with GGK are required to undertake medical intervention only to undergo hemodialysis therapy or known as bloodwashing therapy. Nevertheless, hemodialysis also poses a number of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual problems that will affect the quality of life of the patient. Stress, and depression are the most common psychological disorders in patients undergoing hemodialysis. The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between depression and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis at RSUD Dr. Soekardjo City of Tasikmalaya. Research Methods. The research method in this study is to include the type of descriptive research with univariate analysis and bivariate with cross sectional, the population is patients undergoing hemodialysis with a total sampling of 87 respondents. As a result of the study, there was a significant relationship between depression and the standard of quality of life of GGK patients undergoing hemodialysis obtained a p value of 0.012 (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Online games are electronic and visual based games with the Internet as the medium. Online games are very popular nowadays with a wide range of players, one of whom is schoolchildren. The popularity of online games has a huge impact on young people as it can cause addiction and will release time to sleep to play online games that will affect the quality of sleep. This study aims to find out the relationship between online gaming addiction and with The Quality of Sleep Teenage in SMAN 1 Cimaragas class XII. The design of this study is Cross Sectional. The population of all the students playing online games in SMAN 1 Cimaragas class XII is 56 people. Sampling technique using total sampling with total samples is 56. The research instrument used questionnaires and data analysis using the Chi-Square correlation test. The results of the study obtained mostly highly addicted to online gaming as many as 47 people (83.9%) and the quality of sleep mostly had poor sleep quality as much as 50 people (89.3%). The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between online gaming addiction and teenage sleep quality in SMAN 1 Cimaragas Class XII. For SMAN 1 schools, Cimaragas should give all students information about the dangers of online gambling addiction.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases are still a health problem of global concern as they are responsible for 74% of deaths globally. One of these non-communicable diseases is stroke. Hemorrhagic stroke can result in increased intracranial pressure so that it can reduce perfusion to brain tissue. One of the nursing interventions for patients with Increased Intra Cranial Pressure is head up 300. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of head up 300 position on oxygen saturation of Hemorrhagic Stroke patients at RSUD dr. Soekardjo Tasikmalaya City. The research method used is a comparative descriptive method with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 48 people. The sampling method used is concecutive sampling which is as many as 9 respondents. Data analysis in this study used the dependent T test because the results of the data normality test showed that the data were normally distributed. The results of the analysis show that the p value is 0.000 which means that there is an effect of head up position 300 on oxygen saturation of Hemorrhagic Stroke patients at RSUD dr. Soekardjo Tasikmalaya City. Suggestions based on the results of this study are that head up 300 nursing interventions are effective in increasing oxygen saturation in Hemorrhagic Stroke patients.

Abstract

Benign Prostate Hyperplasia is an enlargement of the prostate organ which generally occurs in adult men over 50 years of age. The most common complaint felt by Benign Prostate Hyperplasia sufferers is difficulty urinating which causes pain, ultimately requiring surgery, which causes pain caused by the surgical procedure. To reduce the pain caused by surgical procedures, Benson relaxation therapy is provided. The aim of this case study is to determine nursing care in reducing pain by providing Benson relaxation in post-operative patients with Benign Prostate Hyperplasia. The method used is a case study involving two respondents selected according to the criteria, namely post-operative patients with Benign Prostate Hyperplasia with the application of Benson relaxation, in accordance with the SPO by integrating the values ​​of Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan. The results of the case study during 3 days of implementing virginity care, both respondents experienced a decrease in the pain scale, respondent 1 experienced a decrease from a pain scale of 6 (0-10) to 0 (0-10), while respondent 2 experienced a decrease from a pain scale of 5 (0 -10) becomes 0 (0-10). The conclusion is that the application of Benson relaxation has been proven to reduce pain in post-operative patients with Benign Prostate Hyperplasia. Suggestions for nursing care to be published in nursing care journals.

Abstract

Perceptions and intentions about breastfeeding, especially among adolescents who represent future parents vary widely. Understanding these views is essential for designing impactful health education programs. This study aimed to assess perceptions and intentions toward breastfeeding among adolescents in Bangladesh. Method used a cross-sectional survey conducted on 132 adolescents aged 14-18 years from urban and rural areas of Bangladesh, who were selected through appropriate sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Analysis was conducted using a computer program that used descriptive and inferential statistics. Significant relationships were identified between breastfeeding perception and several socio-demographic factors such as class level (t=2.107, p=.037), mother’s education level (t=2.215, p=.029), father’s education level (F=5.189, p=.007), and source of information on breastfeeding (F=4.290, p=.006). Additionally, a positive correlation was found between the number of siblings and breastfeeding perceptions (r=.047, p=.047). On the other hand, no significant relationship between a range of socio-demographic factors and adolescents' intentions regarding breastfeeding in Bangladesh was noticed in this study. P<.05 was used as the significant of this study. It is concluded that educational interventions that address both male and female adolescents, emphasizing the health benefits of breastfeeding and overcoming social barriers, are crucial for promoting a supportive breastfeeding culture.

Abstract

Adolescents are an age group particularly vulnerable to stress due to academic, social, and emotional pressures. Unmanaged stress can negatively affect mental health and academic performance. This study aims to analyze stress levels among adolescents at Ciamis Senior High School 2 based on age and gender. A descriptive quantitative approach was used with purposive sampling. The research instrument was the DASS questionnaire, distributed to 861 respondents aged 14–18 years. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The majority of respondents experienced moderate (33.57%), severe (22.42%), and extremely severe (16.61%) levels of stress. Adolescents aged 16–17 and females showed higher stress levels than other groups. The findings indicate that mid-adolescents and females are more prone to psychological pressure. This is consistent with Erikson's psychosocial development theory and the transactional stress model by Lazarus & Folkman. Most adolescents experience moderate to extremely severe stress, particularly those aged 16–17 and females. Contextual and gender-sensitive mental health interventions are needed in the school environment

Abstract

Wound care faces increasing challenges due to the growing prevalence of chronic wounds, limited access to wound care specialists, and the need for continuous healthcare services. Smartphone technology provides opportunities to improve access to integrated wound consultation. This study aimed to develop a user-centered smartphone-based Smart Wound Consultation model, identify its essential features, and establish a workflow for wound consultation and digital documentation. A Design Science Research approach with user-centered design principles was employed. The study was conducted in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia, involving four purposively selected experts in information technology, medical-surgical nursing, and wound care. Data were collected through expert discussions and design validation forms and analyzed using thematic analysis. The proposed model integrates six core features: wound screening, medication services, self-care support, homecare services, health education, and educational videos within a single smartphone platform. The workflow includes initial wound assessment, telenursing consultation, treatment recommendations, digital documentation, and referral pathways. Expert validation confirmed the feasibility of the model following minor revisions to medical terminology, screening content, educational materials, and referral mechanisms. The proposed model provides a comprehensive user-centered framework for digital wound consultation and offers a foundation for developing smartphone-based applications to improve access, continuity, and quality of Medical-Surgical Nursing services.
