Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the influence of the local wisdom of Panca Budhi Indriya on competitive advantage in 4&5-star hotels in Bali. It also investigated the mediating role of strategic thinking in enhancing the relationship between local wisdom and competitive advantage. Methodology: This study adopted a quantitative approach and used survey data collected from 158 general managers of 4&5-star hotels in Bali. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (Rahayu & Yanis) with SmartPLS 3 software. The study employs a structured questionnaire based on indicators developed for local wisdom, strategic thinking, and competitive advantage. Results: The findings revealed that Panca Budhi Indriya has a significant and positive influence on competitive advantage. Additionally, strategic thinking significantly mediated the relationship between Panca Budhi Indriya and competitive advantage, acting as a complementary mediator. This demonstrates that integrating local wisdom with strategic management practices enhances hotels’ competitive edge. Conclusions: This study examines the influence of local wisdom Panca Budhi Indriya on competitive advantage, both directly and indirectly through strategic thinking. The findings confirm that Panca Budhi Indriya, as a form of intangible local wisdom, significantly enhances competitive advantage. Additionally, strategic thinking acts as a complementary mediator, further strengthening this relationship. Limitations: This study was limited to 4&5-star hotels in Bali, which may not fully represent the broader hospitality sector. This quantitative approach also limits the exploration of deeper qualitative insights into the role of local wisdom in strategic management. Contribution: This study contributes to the field of tourism and hospitality management by providing empirical evidence of how local wisdom can serve as a strategic resource for achieving competitive advantage. These findings offer practical insights for hotel managers, policymakers, and academics interested in integrating cultural values into strategic planning to support sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

The study's objectives were to ascertain if job satisfaction and work motivation had a concurrent, partial, and substantial impact on the loyalty of non-medical staff at the Sanjihani General Hospital in Gianyar Regency. The proportionate random sampling technique was used to determine the sample size, which could be as many as 68 individuals. Stratified random sampling was used to carry out the sampling, meaning that the number of non-medical staff in each field under study affected how many samples were taken. The traditional assumption test, multiple linear regression coefficient analysis, determination analysis, F test statistical analysis, and t test statistical analysis were all used to analyse the data. The findings demonstrated a favourable and substantial influence on job satisfaction and work motivation on the loyalty of non-medical staff at the Sanjiwani Regional General Hospital in Gianyar Regency, either concurrently or partly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of emotional intelligence, communication and organizational culture on employee performance at PERUMDA Tirta Sanjiwani Drinking Water, Gianyar Regency. This study uses census techniques so that all members of the population are involved as research subjects. Primary data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The measurement scale uses a Likert Scale which consists of five answer choices. Hypothesis testing is done using multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded (1) Emotional intelligence, communication and organizational culture simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (3) Communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance , and (4) Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The implication of the results of this research is that improving employee performance can be done by motivating and encouraging employees to dare to take initiative.

Abstract

Purchasing decisions are crucial for businesses to thrive, especially given the high competition in the business world. This study investigates the influence of product quality, word of mouth, and store image on purchasing decisions at the Mbarshopp Store in Bali. Specifically, it aims to determine both the partial and simultaneous effects of these variables on purchasing decisions. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using purposive random sampling method. Data were analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, determination analysis, t-tests, and F-test. The findings indicate both product quality and store image individually have a positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions. Conversely, word of mouth has an insignificant effect on purchasing decisions. However, when considered together, product quality, word of mouth, and store image have a significant and positive effect on purchasing decisions. This study provides valuable insights for retailers aiming to enhance their marketing strategies and improve customer purchase decisions through focused improvements in product quality and store image. The research contributes to the field of marketing management by offering empirical evidence on the relative importance of product quality, word of mouth, and store image in influencing consumer behavior.

Abstract

Sebagai tulang punggung birokrasi, pegawai ASN mengemban kewajiban dalam menjalankan kebijakan pemerintah dan menyajikan layanan publik yang optimal. Kinerja pegawai dalam birokrasi berperan penting dalam mencapai tujuan pembangunan yang berkelanjutan. Kinerja pegawai pada dinas kepemudaan dan olahraga perlu dioptimalkan sebab memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan potensi generasi muda. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran stres kerja dalam memediasi pengaruh lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai ASN. Penelitian ini mempergunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam riset ini ialah keseluruhan pegawai yang berstatus ASN pada Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Kabupaten Gianyar yang berjumlah sebanyak 55 orang. Seluruh anggota populasi dipergunakan sebagai sampel yang disebut metode sampling jenuh. Analisis data dikerjakan dengan metode Partial Least Square (PLS) menggunakan software SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan temuan yakni lingkungan kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap stres kerja. Stres kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Stres kerja mampu memediasi pengaruh lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. Peningkatan kualitas lingkungan kerja secara langsung dapat menurunkan tingkat stres kerja, yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan kinerja pegawai

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are widespread in Indonesia, particularly in Bali. The SME CV. Ratu Patni Denpasar is facing low work productivity, which is caused by weak individual characteristics, lack of work experience, and an unsupportive work environment. The aim of this research is to determine the simultaneous and partial influence of individual characteristics, work experience, and work environment on employee productivity at the SME CV. Ratu Patni. This research uses a quantitative approach involving 34 respondents who were used as the research sample. The sampling technique used in this research is saturation sampling, and data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used in this research are Validity Test, Reliability Test, Classical Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression, Determination Coefficient, t-test, and F-test. Based on the results of the research, there is a positive and significant influence both simultaneously and partially between individual characteristics, work experience, and work environment on employee productivity. Approaches to improving work productivity from this study can be implemented by paying attention to work experience and also considering individual characteristics and the work environment, especially in SMEs similar to CV. Ratu Patni.

Abstract

Employee performance is the result of a person's achievements to be able to measure an employee's performance and ability to support an organization in achieving its goals. Transformational Leadership is a variable that influences employee performance and job satisfaction is a variable that indirectly influences the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. There is attention and problems found related to Transformational Leadership and job satisfaction in an effort to improve employee performance at the Tirta Sanjiwani Drinking Water Company in Gianyar Regency. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether job satisfaction plays a role in mediating the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance at the Tirta Sanjiwani Drinking Water Company in Gianyar Regency. This research aims to determine the role of job satisfaction in mediating the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance at the Tirta Sanjiwani Drinking Water Company in Gianyar Regency. The number of samples was determined using the saturated sample method of 100 non-PNS employees at the Tirta Sanjiwani Drinking Water Company in Gianyar Regency. Data analyzed using Smart PLS includes three stages, namely outer model analysis, inner model and hypothesis testing. The results of the research show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance, job satisfaction is unable to mediate the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance at the Tirta Water Company Sanjiwani in Gianyar Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of compensation, job satisfaction, and work environment on turnover intention. The population consisted of employees at Dharma Kerti Tabanan Hospital, with a sample of 117 respondents. The data analysis techniques used in this research are Validity Test, Reliability, Classical Assumptions, Multiple Linear Regression, Coefficient of Determination, T Test, and F Test. Based on the research results, it can be seen that compensation has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, job satisfaction has a negative effect and is significant to turnover intention, and the work environment has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. Suggestions that can be given to this researcher are that Dharma Kerti Tabanan Hospital is expected to provide fair and transparent promotions to employees, always provide appropriate compensation, and always try to make employees feel satisfied and comfortable in a constructive work environment.

Abstract

Desa wisata sedang menjadi pengembangan yang sedang dilakukan oleh pemerintah daerah, termasuk Desa Darmasaba. Konsep sustainable architecture dan sustainable tourism mendasari perancangan ekowisata Jalan Usaha Tani (JUT) dan DAM Tanah Putih. Sustainable architecture mengarah pada penggunaan material ramah lingkungan sehingga mendukung ekowisata yang mengarah pada pelestarian lingkungan. Target utamanya adalah menarik wisatawan untuk datang ke Desa Darmasaba dan berdampak pada kesejahteraan masyarakat desa. Pemilihan JUT untuk dikembangkan karena adanya fungsi tambahan yang dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik yakni sebagai sarana berolahraga. Beberapa tahapan yang dilakukan meliputi persiapan, observasi lapangan rencana pembangunan ekowisata, perancangan gambar, sosialisasi desain yang telah selesai, serta tahap berkelanjutan. Perancangan gambar oleh tim PkM memanfaatkan sejumlah aplikasi seperti Autocad, SketchUp, Photoshop dan Lumion. Hasil dari pengabdian berupa desain jalur jogging track dan area rekreasi terbuka hijau dengan mengedepankan aspek pembangunan berwawasan lingkungan, edukasi, serta ekonomi. Pada tahap sosialisasi, perwakilan masyarakat merasa senang apabila perancangan ekowisata dapat segera direalisasikan. Program berkelanjutan akan dilaksanakan pada periode mendatang saat desain ekowisata telah mendapatkan persetujuan pembangunan.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the influence of servant leadership style on employee loyalty, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction, at PT Graha Sarana Duta (Telkom Property) Bali Area. Research Methodology: This is a quantitative research using a survey-based non-experimental approach. Data were collected from 76 outsourcing employees selected through simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS 3.0. The study is underpinned by Equity Theory, which explains that perceptions of fairness influence both job satisfaction and employee loyalty, especially in relation to leadership behavior. Results: The results indicate that servant leadership positively affects job satisfaction and employee loyalty, with job satisfaction also acting as a partial mediator in this relationship. Conclusion: Servant leadership, marked by love, humility, and support, enhances job satisfaction and ultimately boosts employee loyalty, highlighting the importance of empathetic and service-oriented leadership. Limitations: This study focuses on outsourcing employees in a single company with a cross-sectional design, limiting its ability to capture long-term effects. Future research should consider additional variables like work environment or company policies for broader insights. Contribution: This study contributes by validating Equity Theory in the context of employee loyalty and job satisfaction in Indonesia’s property sector, while offering practical insights for enhancing retention through servant leadership.
