Abstract

The low mathematical literacy of junior high school students in Indonesia remains a challenge, as reflected in PISA results that consistently place Indonesia at the bottom in mathematical reasoning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) assisted by H5P interactive videos in improving mathematical literacy compared to PBL without digital media. A quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design was applied to two grade VIII classes of a state junior high school in Cirebon, each consisting of 36 students. The instrument was a mathematical literacy test based on three PISA indicators: formulating, employing, and interpreting. Data analysis included normality, homogeneity, and an Independent Samples T-Test, supported by N-gain calculation. The results showed no significant difference in pre-test scores between the groups, indicating comparable initial ability. However, the experimental class achieved an N-gain of 0.71 (medium–high category), higher than the control class of 0.38 (low–medium category), with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings confirm that integrating H5P into PBL significantly improves students' mathematical literacy. The study concludes that interactive media serve not only as a learning aid but also as a pedagogical tool that fosters participatory, contextual, and meaningful learning, providing practical recommendations for mathematics teachers to adopt innovative digital approaches.

Abstract

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, mathematical literacy has emerged as a crucial competency for students navigating data-intensive environments. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data in education holds transformative potential to enhance personalized learning and support data-driven teaching strategies, yet it also raises critical concerns around Cybersecurity, particularly in safeguarding student data and ensuring trust in digital platforms. This study aims to analyze the effects of AI and Big Data on mathematical literacy, while examining the moderating role of Cybersecurity. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 3. The results indicate that both AI and Big Data have significant positive effects on students’ mathematical literacy, with Big Data exerting the strongest influence through its ability to provide deep insights into student performance. AI also contributes effectively by enabling real-time feedback, adaptive learning, and personalized instruction. Although Cybersecurity demonstrated a weaker direct effect on mathematical literacy, it remains an essential enabler of a secure digital learning environment, fostering user trust and system integrity. This research highlights the importance of aligning educational technology implementation with strong digital safeguards to maximize learning outcomes. The findings offer managerial implications for educational institutions to invest in intelligent learning platforms supported by robust cybersecurity protocols. Ultimately, the study reinforces the relevance of SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting inclusive, safe, and tech-enhanced learning ecosystems suited for the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is one of the key competencies emphasized in mathematics education. This study aims to describe the development of mathematical literacy within the mathematics curricula of Indonesia, Singapore, and China. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, supported by content analysis. The findings of this study reveal the following: (1) The mathematics curriculum in Indonesia is highly optimized, with mathematical literacy integrated into the curriculum and learning outcomes tailored to the characteristics of mathematics as a subject (including content and process elements). Singapore constructs mathematical literacy competencies through the establishment of a mathematics curriculum framework that includes concepts, skills, processes, metacognition, and attitudes. Meanwhile, China focuses on improving mathematical literacy by emphasizing problem-solving skills to develop ideas represented as mathematical literacy competencies. (2) The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2022 results indicate Indonesia ranks 70th, Singapore ranks first, and China is divided into several regions, ranking second (Macau), third (Chinese Taipei), and fourth (Hong Kong) out of 80 participating countries. Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik, khususnya pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel (SPLTV), menjadi perhatian dalam proses pembelajaran. Banyak peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami langkah penyelesaian soal secara menyeluruh. Kondisi ini mendorong perlunya strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan mendukung keterlibatan aktif serta pemahaman konseptual. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang didukung aplikasi Linear Equation System Solver (LESS). Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) selama dua siklus. Pada siklus I, penerapan PBL tanpa bantuan teknologi menghasilkan skor rata-rata 39,93. Pada siklus II, setelah menggunakan aplikasi LESS, skor rata-rata meningkat menjadi 74,07. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi PBL dan aplikasi LESS efektif dalam memperkuat pemahaman peserta didik terhadap SPLTV secara sistematis dan interaktif.

Abstract

Riset ini memiliki sasaran untuk mengoptimalkan kompetensi problem-solving pada peserta didik. Fase prasiklus mengungkapkan bahwa kriteria kemampuan tersebut masih berada pada level yang rendah, dan kondisi inilah yang melatarbelakangi partisipasi peserta didik dalam riset ini. Materi yang peneliti ambil untuk penelitian ini yaitu SPtLDV dimana nantinya peserta didik mencari daerah hasil penyelesaian (DHP) pada grafik. Riset ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian tindakan kelas yang melibatkan dua siklus. Pada siklus pertama, implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dilakukan tanpa adanya dukungan media atau aplikasi. Hasil yang diperoleh per indikator unrtuk siklus I masih tergolong rendah karena dari ke empat indikator pemecahan masalah. Rata-rata yang diperoleh maasih tergolong rendah yaitu hanya sebesar 22,16 dan melakukan tindakan pada siklus II. Temuan yang didapatkan pada siklus II memperlihatkan progres yang substansial dibandingkan siklus I, tercermin dari peningkatan mean pada setiap indikator. Nilai rerata yang dicapai oleh peserta didik tergolong baik, yakni sebesar 72,25. Pada siklus kedua ini, implementasi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dioptimalkan dengan pemanfaatan aplikasi Geogebra.

Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is an essential component of the National Assessment policy aimed at measuring students' reading literacy and numeracy competencies in depth. However, many vocational high school (SMK) students are not yet familiar with the characteristics of AKM questions, which require critical thinking and contextual understanding. This community service program was conducted to help students at SMK Negeri 1 Cirebon understand the structure and patterns of AKM questions through a classical question-analysis approach. The activity took place in March 2025, using a participatory method involving 35 tenth-grade students from five different classes. Students worked individually on AKM-type questions, followed by group discussions and evaluations using the Quizizz platform. The results showed that students gained a better understanding of AKM contexts, were able to identify key information, and apply appropriate problem-solving strategies. Moreover, they showed high enthusiasm throughout the activity. This program demonstrated that classical question-analysis is an effective strategy for enhancing vocational students’ readiness for AKM.

Abstract

Meningkatnya penggunaan media pembelajaran digital dalam pendidikan dasar menyoroti pentingnya memahami respons siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti respons siswa terhadap penggunaan lembar kerja elektronik siswa (e-LKPD) berbasis Liveworksheets di sebuah sekolah dasar di Thailand. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan penelitian deskriptif digunakan, melibatkan 26 siswa kelas empat di Sekolah Suntisart Wittaya, Yala, Thailand. Data dihimpun menggunakan kuesioner respons siswa 10 item dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis kuantitatif deskriptif melalui perhitungan persentase. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa respons siswa dikategorikan baik, dengan skor 74,25% untuk indikator format, 74,50% untuk relevansi, 73% untuk kepercayaan diri, dan 74,50% untuk minat, menghasilkan respons rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 74%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa e-LKPD berbasis Liveworksheets dapat dimanfaatkan secara efektif sebagai media pembelajaran digital alternatif untuk mendukung keterlibatan siswa dan pembelajaran interaktif di kelas matematika sekolah dasar. The increasing use of digital learning media in elementary education highlights the importance of understanding student responses to technology-based learning materials. This study aims to examine student responses to the use of Liveworksheets-based electronic student worksheets (e-LKPD) in an elementary school in Thailand. This study used a descriptive research approach, involving 26 fourth-grade students at Suntisart Wittaya School, Yala, Thailand. Data were collected using a 10-item student response questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis through percentage calculations. The results showed that student responses were categorized as good, with scores of 74.25% for the format indicator, 74.50% for relevance, 73% for confidence, and 74.50% for interest, resulting in an overall average response of 74%. These findings indicate that Liveworksheets-based e-LKPD can be effectively utilized as an alternative digital learning medium to support student engagement and interactive learning in elementary school mathematics classes.

Abstract

This study provides a global synthesis of pedagogical innovations and research developments in mathematical literacy from 2022 to 2026, uniquely emphasizing an edupreneurial perspective that integrates entrepreneurial creativity into mathematics education through innovative teaching and learning practices. The analysis utilizes the Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar databases to identify global trends and research gaps. Employing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework, a total of 564 articles were initially identified, with selected studies analyzed to address predefined research questions. The review highlights that research on mathematical literacy is predominantly characterized by qualitative and quantitative approaches, with junior high school students as the most frequent subjects and research settings. A growing trend in edupreneurial pedagogical practices is evident through the integration of contextual problem-solving strategies, ethnomathematical perspectives, and technology-enhanced learning models. Recommendations for future research and policy include strengthening teacher conceptual understanding of mathematical literacy, developing contextually rich assessment models, advancing technology-integrated instruction, and expanding research toward psychological factors influencing mathematical literacy. Moreover, the study underscores the need for increased research at the vocational education level and calls for education policymakers to design and implement professional development programs aimed at enhancing teachers’ and students’ competencies in mathematical literacy through innovative, entrepreneurial-based learning approaches.

Abstract

Gerak langkah pendidikan tidak akan terpisahkan dari arus perkembangan sains dan teknologi, tuntutan kuantitas dan kualitas produk pendidikan, teori pendidikan dan kenyataan di lapangan. Nilai-nilai moral sebagai landasan yang  harus ada dan tertanamkan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penulisan makalahinibertujuan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Value Clarification Tehnique (VCT) berbasis karakter kemandirian pada keterampilan pemecahan masalah, materi program linear kelas X SMK Kartika Kota Cirebon semester 2 Tahun Pelajaran 2015/ 2016 berjumlah 23 siswa yang efektif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen.Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sample di mana penelitian ini mengambil sampel 5 orang dari satu kelas yang dijadikan penelitian dengan pertimbangan kemampuan yang beragam, yaitu sangat tinggi, tinggi, sedang dan kurang baik. Siswa pada kelas tersebut memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan value clarification technique berbasis karakter. Data Keterampilan Pemecahan Masalah (KPM) diolah dengan uji t, uji pengaruh dengan uji regresi dan uji peningkatan diolah dengan uji gain  Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut:Pembelajaran matematika dinyatakan efektif, yaitu: 1) KPM mencapai ketuntasan individual dengan nilai rataan 83,00, KPM mencapai ketuntasan klasikal dengan  ketuntasan mencapai 85%; 2) adanya pengaruh positif karakter kemandirian sebesar 0,883; dan 3) Adanya peningkatan proses pembentukan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Value Clarification Technique (VCT), Keterampilan Pemecahan Masalah, karakter kemandirian.

Abstract

The research is based on the law of critical thinking and the less of the students’s activation in learning process. The research objective is to know the improvement of critical thingking which the learning process used is ASSURE learning model with conventional learning. The research is Quasi Experimental research.The research design is used Nonequivalent Control Group Design and sample collection technique is Sampling Purposive .The population in the research is the students of class 8th  SMPN 1 Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon, academic year 2017/2018. The sample of the research is the 8th qraders 36 th student class 8th D is classes eksperimental and 38 th student class 8th F is classes control. Based on the result of the difference of the average of post-test using the test of Independent Sample T-Test equals sig (2 tailed) score 0,000 < 0,05 means H0 rejected. And then the difference of the average using of N-gain using the test of Independent Sample t-test equals sig score (1 tiled) 0,0005 < 0,05 means H0 rejected. On the other hard, based on the result of questionnaire using the test of Mann Whitney U-Test eguals Asymp. Sig(2 tailed) 0,000 < 0,5 means H0 rejected. The research result shows that: The improvement of critical thinking skill which is using ASSURE learning model is better than the students who are learning by conventional learning process.Key Words: ASSURE, Critical Thinking
