Abstract

Abstrak Mitra pengabdian ini yaitu UMKM bubuk jahe milik bu Nining terletak di kelurahan Keputran Kecamatan Tegalsari Surabaya.Usaha yang didirikan sejak 3 tahun lalu awalnya hanya untuk mengisi waktu luang dan menambah pendapatan keluarga.Hingga saat ini penjualan bubuk jahe terus meningkat seiring kebutuhan jahe untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh di masa pandemiCovid 19.Dalam menjalankan usahannya, bu Nining memiliki beberapa permasalahan pada aspek produksi dan manajemen. Permasalahan aspek produksi yaitu produk belum memiliki label kemasan, bahan kemas mengunakan plastik dengan perekat pemanasan dengan api lilin, tidak ada variasi ukuran produk. Sedangkan pada aspek manajemen yaitu mitra hanya menjual produk berdasarkan jumlah pesanan, penerapan manajemen mutu belum maksimal, belum memiliki manajemen pengadaan bahanbaku. Tujuan dari kegiatan yaitu memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan peningkatan penjualan bubuk jahe melalui perbaikan aspek produksi dan manajemen terkait label kemasan, bahan kemasan, penggunaan alat press kemasan, pemasaran offlinemapun online, penerapan manajemen mutu, dan pengadaan bahan baku. Hasil dari kegiatan yaitu mitra telah memiliki desain label pada kemasan, memiliki kemasan yang baik yang sehingga layak untuk di jual di toko oleh-oleh, serta telah mampu menjual pruduk secara online, memiliki konsep pemasaran offline yang baik, jumlah produksi dan penjualan meningkat. Abstract This service partner is SMEs ginger powder owned by Mrs. Nining which is located in the Keputran Village, Tegalsari District, Surabaya. The business that was founded 3 years ago is only to fill spare time and increase family income. Until now, the sale of ginger powder continues to increase along with the need for ginger to increase body resistance during the Covid 19 pandemic. In running its business, Nining has several problems in production and management aspects. Problems in the production aspect are that the product does not have a packaging label, the packaging material uses plastic adhesive heating with a candle flame, there is no variation in product size. Meanwhile, in the management aspect, partners only sell products based on the number of orders, the implementation of quality management is not optimal, and they do not have raw material procurement management. The purpose of this activity is to provide training and assistance to increase sales of ginger powder through improving aspects of production and management related to packaging, packaging materials, use of packaging tools, offline and online marketing, implementation of quality management, and procurement of raw materials. The results of the activity are having a label design on the packaging, having good packaging so that it is suitable for sale in gift shops, and has been able to sell products online, has a good offline marketing concept, the number of production and sales increases.

Abstract

XYZ merupakan perusahan manufaktur di bidang produksi speaker. Dalam memproduksi produk unggulannya tentunya perusahaan dituntut melakukan efisiensi dari proses produksinya. Kegiatan produksi di dalam perusahaan ini sering mengalami bottlenecksehingga target yang telah direncanakan tidak dapat dipenuhi secara tepat. Oleh karena itu, penting sekali perusahaan melakukan perencanaan dan pengendalian meliputi pengukuran dari masing-masing aktivitas untuk melihat seberapa lama waktu yang dibutuhkan tenaga kerja dan mengetahui seberapa banyak tingkat aktivitas dalam menghasilkan produk. Melihat pentingnya pengukuran aktivitas ini, maka diperlukan metode pengukuran yang akurat yang paling banyak digunakan yaitu dengan studi waktu. Dengan metode ini, perusahaan dapat menentukan lama kerja yang dibutuhkan operator mampu menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan secara spesifik dan tepat pada kecepatan kerja normal dalam lingkungan kerja pada saat itu sehingga mengurangi bottleneck. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mnegetahui penggunaan metode studi waktu dalam pengukuran kerja di PT. XYZ. Hasil penelitian ini adalah jumlah jam kerja efektif di PT. XYZ sebesar 7 jam setiap harinya dan jam kerja efektif per demandsetiap harinya adalah 10,5 menit per unit.

Abstract

In this study, the effect of the tool-tip radius and cutting process parameters on the quality of the machining process experimentally on the use of SKD 11 tool steel material. Several radius (0.80 mm, 1.20 mm, 1.60 mm) and the parameters of the cutting process, specifically feed rate, cutting speed, and depth of cut. The ANOVA method used in this study aims to analyze the cutting process parameters on the surface quality of the workpiece and the cutting force. The analysis of this research results in certain conditions in which the feed rate significantly affects surface quality. However, this is contrary to the depth of cut parameter, which affects the cutting force. This study also observed the effect of the tooltip radius on the optimal surface quality when using a 0.80 mm radius. The second-order regression modeling used in this analysis shows a very good level of accuracy, with the correlation value of accuracy ranging from 96% to 98%.

Abstract

Various treatments were carried out to produce biodiesel optimally. This research was conducted to process used cooking oil (UCO) into biodiesel. UCO with high FFA has saponification in the transesterification reaction. Transesterification experiment UCO with % FFA 4.261 and acid number 8.42 mg-KOH/g produced saponification. This experiment was carried out at different temperatures, speeds, and times. It is necessary to carry out initial esterification treatment. Simultaneously the biodiesel synthesis process is carried out by esterification and transesterification processes. The esterification process with 3%wt H2SO4 catalyst, 1:6 molar ratio of oil and alcohol with temperature treatment of 50 °C, speed of 300 rpm for 60 minutes can reduce % FFA in UCO to 2.115 and acid number 4.208 mg-KOH/g. The transesterification process using a NaOH catalyst of 0.5% wt, the molar ratio of oil and alcohol 1:6 with a temperature treatment of 60°C, a speed of 400 rpm for 60 minutes, can produce biodiesel with an acid number of 0.28 mg-KOH/g and 0.141 of % FFA according to SNI 7182-2015 standard. These results after purification on biodiesel.

Abstract

Abstract In the industrial competition, the service field also the manufacturing field  has experienced rapid development.  Each company compete to win the competition to gain market share. The high level of product defects is a serious problem in the Meshindo Alloy Wheel Corporation. It is caused by the complexity of the types of defects that occur in the process. Therefore it is necessary for continuous improvement effort to reduce the rate  of defects that have occurred in the process. This research has implemented the method of QCC (Quality Control Circle) with eight steps to improve quality. The method of QCC used a tool called the seven tools. We propose an improvement plan within a matrix plan improvements through brainstorming process. Our research found that the biggest number of CTQ (Critical To Quality) is the  flaw leaked. Then we do a search the root cause of the problem through a process of brainstorming between QCC teams and the management of company.  We found that the most dominant cause of the defect is the low reliability of the machine,  the lack of rigor operator and low quality of material. In the Pareto diagram , it appears that the largest percentage of leak defect, approximately 45.9 %. The improvement is only performed on the  LT machine (machine of tester of leakage). After repair of the LT machine, the percentage of defects leaking down from 1.86 % to 1.09 %. So there is a decrease of 0.77 % defect rate.
