Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar matematika materi pokok aritmetika sosial pada siswa kelas X MA Nurul Iman. Seluruh siswa kelas X yang terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas X1 dan kelas X2 yang berjumlah 69 siswa dijadikan subjek penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh, peneliti menggunakan metode Statistik produk moment. Data-data relevan yang digunakan antara lain data hasil angket tentang kecerdasan emosional yang dikuantitatifkan (variabel X) dan data kuantitatif hasil belajar materi pokok aritmetika sosial (variabel Y). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, dapat kita ketahui bahwa nilai rhitung yang diperoleh adalah 0,76 yang dilanjutkan dengan uji thitung diperoleh nilai 9.5654 sementara itu pada kolom taraf signifikan 5% dengan dk=n-2 dalam distribusi tabel t kita temukan bilangan 1.6679. Bilangan ini menunjukkan batas signifikan. Oleh karena nilai thitung yang diperoleh 9.5654 berada di atas batas signifikannya, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai hasil perhitungan lebih besar dari nilai ttabel (9.5654 > 1,6679), maka nilai thitung yang diperoleh dikatakan signifikan. Sehingga dapat kita simpulkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional mempunyai korelasi yang positif atau signifikan dengan hasil belajar matematika materi pokok aritmetika sosial pada siswa kelas X MA Nurul Iman tahun pembelajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

The learning process is still dominated by lectures and teacher-centered activities. Students' activities only involve listening to the teacher's explanations and noting down what they consider important, which affects their learning outcomes. The method that has been used so far does not adequately help students engage actively both intellectually and emotionally in learning, especially in mathematics. The problem in this research is how the constructivist approach is applied to MTs Jihadul Ummah students so that it can improve the understanding of integer concepts. The goal to be achieved in this research is to improve students' understanding of the material provided and the completeness of learning outcomes. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach to process learning outcome data and a qualitative approach to process observational data. This research was conducted on the students of class VIIB MTs. Jihadul Ummah for the 2024/2025 academic year. The results of the evaluation and observation are to see the abilities and activities of the students during the learning process, and the data are analyzed using the completeness of learning. A learning completeness of 75% is an indicator used to determine the improvement in academic achievement. The research results show an increase in the average student learning outcomes, with an initial stage score of 67.00 and a completion percentage of 65.62%. Meanwhile, at the final stage, the average student learning outcome score was 69.8 with a completeness rate of 81.25%. With the implementation of the constructivist model, the learning of the topic of integers can enhance the understanding of mathematical concepts and apparently can make students enthusiastic and motivated in learning mathematics, thereby actively engaging them both intellectually and emotionally

Abstract

The researcher wanted to determine whether there were differences in mathematics abilities between male and female students at MTs Miftahul Iman NW Bundua in the 2024/2025 academic year. Every study has a clear objective, and achieving this objective requires adequate preparation and careful planning. This includes conducting preliminary observations to facilitate data collection and collaboration with the school. The ex post pacto method was used in this study. The population comprised all students at MTs Miftahul Iman NW Bundua in the 2024/2025 academic year, with a sample size of 150 students from grades VII and VIII. Three data collection techniques were used: observation, interviews, and documentation, resulting in qualitative and quantitative data. Quantitative data were obtained through documentation and then analyzed. To determine data normality, a chi-square test was performed, yielding a value of 7.99 for male students and 3.69 for female students. Meanwhile, to test data homogeneity, the Bartlett formula was used, yielding a value of 0.647. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that because the calculated t value = 1.648 is smaller than the t table value = 1.668, Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in mathematics ability between male and female students at MTs Miftahul Iman NW Bundua in the 2024/2025 academic year.
