Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of bullying on student mortality by considering social demographic factors and individual characteristics. The literature review shows that bullying contributes to an increased risk of suicide, mental disorders, and a decline in students' quality of life. Social demographic factors such as gender, age, and socioeconomic background influence the level of mortality risk. Females are more often victims of verbal violence, while males are more often perpetrators of physical violence. Low socioeconomic status also increases vulnerability to the negative effects of bullying. Individual characteristics such as stress levels, depression, and anxiety, as well as lack of social support and weak stress-coping abilities, are associated with an increased risk of mortality in students. Addressing bullying requires a comprehensive approach involving education, effective school policies, parental involvement, and adequate psychological support to create a safe and supportive learning environment. This study highlights the need for awareness of the serious impact of bullying on student well-being and the importance of appropriate interventions to protect the younger generation from its negative consequences.

Abstract

This research reveals the reality and challenges of underage childbirth in the city of Bandung from the perspectives of reproductive health and social well-being. The research methodology employed was a literature review, collecting relevant literature from various sources. The findings of the study indicate a concerning trend regarding underage marriages among women in Bandung. Early marriage for young women has negative consequences for their reproductive health and social welfare. Women who marry at a young age face a higher risk of pregnancy complications and premature childbirth. Furthermore, early marriage hinders girls' education and their opportunities to achieve economic independence, negatively impacting their personal and social development. In this context, comprehensive efforts are needed to prevent early marriages and protect the health and well-being of women. These efforts may involve inclusive sex education, raising public awareness, providing social support for at-risk girls, and strengthening regulations that prohibit underage marriages. In taking these steps, it is hoped that the rate of early marriages can be reduced, opening up opportunities for young women to grow and thrive in a healthy manner and attain their full potential in life.

Abstract

Death due to domestic violence is a serious problem that affects many countries, including Indonesia. In cases of domestic violence, this has always been a disturbing issue in Indonesia, with fatal consequences for many victims. This study examines the cultural and socio-economic factors that contribute to death in the context of domestic violence in Indonesia. Using the literature review method, data was collected through search and research results from previous studies. The results of the analysis show that cultural factors such as patriarchal norms and stigmatization of victims can exacerbate violence and increase the risk of death. In addition, socio-economic factors such as economic inequality and access to support services also play a role in increasing vulnerability to death due to domestic violence. These findings provide valuable insights for the development of more effective policies to prevent deaths caused by domestic violence in Indonesia. The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia guarantees a sense of security and freedom from all forms of violence, and Law no. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU PKDRT) recognizes that domestic violence is a violation of human rights that must be eliminated. Therefore, understanding the problem of domestic violence is a form of concern for human dignity and humanity.
